Chapter 442 Get Out Here
At nine o'clock in the evening, the Royal Court Hotel's grand ballroom, capable of hosting a hundred guests, was buzzing with energy.
The room was brightly lit, filled with the clinking of glasses and lively chatter.
Guests gathered in small groups, discussing grand ideas and engaging in animated conversations.
Fashionably dressed women chattered away, like peacocks flaunting their beautiful feathers.
Successful men or those with impressive backgrounds stood tall, each trying to outdo the other in politeness.
In the center of attention, Micah and Isla, dressed in suit and dress, were mingling with a group of middle-aged men, laughing and chatting.
The men exchanged pleasantries while sneaking glances at Isla.
Despite having been ill and losing weight, Isla's outfit still exuded femininity.
Her black high heels paired with black stockings wrapped around her long legs, the enticing curves leading up to a black skirt.
If they didn't know better, they'd want to devour Isla whole.
"Ms. Gonzalez, congratulations on your recovery."
"Ms. Gonzalez, we hope you return soon to lead us."
"Mr. Gonzalez, we wish you great success at Glowing Oasis."
Several people approached with smiles, raising their glasses to toast Isla and Micah.
"Thank you all. Your unwavering support is something I'll always remember," Isla said warmly, unlike her previous aloofness, as she clinked glasses with each person.
After Gerald's shake-up at Glowing Oasis, Isla needed the support of people like Otto; otherwise, she wouldn't have a foothold.
"Ms. Gonzalez, it's an honor to serve you," Otto said, flattered, nodding and bowing as he pledged his loyalty. "No matter what, we're your people."
His companions nodded in agreement. "Yes, yes, no matter how things change, we're with you."
"That's the spirit," Isla said approvingly, patting Otto's shoulder. "Don't worry, I'll make sure you get back what you lost."
"This time, Gerald took advantage of us, causing us to lose a lot of interests and manpower, but it doesn't mean we've lost."
Micah spoke calmly, "Uncle Ulysses will be at Glowing Oasis tonight. He'll meet with old colleagues and friends to help us reconnect with all the key players."
"With the protection of these Glowing Oasis veterans, even if we can't topple Gerald, we can reclaim what we've lost."
His face shone with confidence.
"That's great, that's great!" Otto and his group were overjoyed. "Thank you, Ms. Gonzalez, thank you, Mr. Gonzalez."
They clearly knew who Ulysses was—a man who had built his career at Glowing Oasis and moved on to Stardust City, with countless connections and protégés.
With him pulling strings, Gerald wouldn't be able to suppress them, and their lost positions and power would be restored.
Micah smiled, said nothing, and then took out his vibrating phone, moving to a corner.
After a brief call, his expression darkened.
"What's wrong?" Isla asked, swaying her hips as she approached with a few companions. "Is there a problem?"
"Just a minor issue," Micah replied, putting away his phone and sneering. "James, that bastard, really has nine lives. He survived wave after wave of assassination attempts."
"James?" A striking woman beside Isla laughed. "Isn't he the doctor who dared to oppose you?"
"Yeah, that bastard," Micah confirmed.
Hearing James's name, Isla's eyes flashed with venom. "He's tough to deal with, not only cunning but also backed by Gerald. So, if we want to deal with him, we need a long-term plan."
When she was poisoned and near death, she had feared James, but after Marshall cured her, she forgot her fear and filled her heart with hatred again.
"I don't care who's backing him," Micah said, his voice deepening. "He cost me ten billion dollars, lost the Cloud Top Mountain property, poisoned you, and ruined The Gonzalez Family's plans. I won't let him off."
"If I don't crush him, how can I return to Stardust City? Keith and the others would laugh at me."
"And he's just a doctor, knows a bit about medicine, and plays some tricks."
"Do you think Gerald would go to war with our Gonzalez Family over someone like him?"
"If that were the case, the Rivera Group wouldn't be one of the top five families."
He seemed to have a clear understanding, while his sister and others feared Gerald's support for James, he was unafraid, convinced Gerald wouldn't do much for James.
"You're right, what is there to fear?" A young man with a crew cut chimed in. "Ms. Gonzalez, Mr. Gonzalez, leave him to me, I'll take care of him by tomorrow."
He waved his phone. "I have plenty of people at Glowing Oasis."
The striking woman also spoke up with a smile. "Should I make a call and have him brought in?"
The two from Stardust City didn't think much of James, believing a phone call could solve the problem, no need to overthink.
"Thanks, but we'll handle this ourselves. After all, there's a sense of accomplishment in dealing with an enemy personally," Isla said, narrowing her eyes, then looking at Micah. "Alright, you have my support. No matter the consequences, I'll stand with you."
"There won't be any consequences," Micah laughed. "The biggest difference between me and James is that I can kill him a thousand times, but he wouldn't dare kill me once."
"If I go after him and fail, the worst that happens is a few people die, and we lose some interests. But I can try as many times as I want."
"If he goes after me, not only will he suffer, but his whole family and everyone around him will suffer too."
"Well said, weakness is a sin. I hate those useless people who act all tough," the striking woman said, crossing her legs. "If we don't crush people like that, they're just an eyesore."
Just then, a sudden loud bang interrupted the laughter in the room. The two expensive wooden doors swung open as if hit by a bulldozer.
James burst in alone.
The unexpected noise made everyone in the ballroom turn their heads.
They saw six armed Gonzalez Family bodyguards lying in the carpeted hallway outside.
Their limbs twitched, occasionally letting out painful groans, clearly badly injured.
The striking woman and her companions stared at James in shock. Who was this fool daring to cause trouble here?
Ignoring the stares, James shouted in a deep voice, "Micah, get out here!"
