Chapter 326 Reunite Your Family
Gregory fell straight to the ground. His eyes were wide open, his face full of shock, unspeakable grief, and unwillingness.
He never saw it coming—James ending him right in front of Stephanie and a crowd of onlookers, with one clean strike.
No matter how much he didn't want to believe it, no matter how much he fought to stay alive, Gregory hit the ground, his life slipping away.
Everyone present was also dumbfounded, as if bugs were crawling all over their bodies, an indescribable chill spreading through them.
James's ruthlessness was even more directly piercing to everyone's hearts than his arrogance.
"Gregory! Gregory!" Stephanie snapped out of it, her screams turning wild. "James, you son of a bitch! You're dead! Kill him! Kill him! Kill James!" She totally lost it, barking orders at the Carter Family's top dozen fighters.
Hearing stephanie's screams, dozens of onlookers scrambled to retreat, fearing they would be caught in the crossfire.
Fifteen of the Carter Family's strongest fighters exchanged glances, drew their weapons, and charged at James.
The blades flashed cold and sharp, their faces blank, icy, and dripping with menace.
These were top-tier fighters, moving like lightning, closing the gap on James in a heartbeat.
Mia instinctively shouted, "James, watch out!"
James flicked the blood off his Aether, then charged into the fray.
The fifteen elite fighters of the Carter Family felt a pain in their wrists, then their weapons fell to the ground, and they screamed as they retreated.
Before they could steady themselves, James rushed forward again, his sword light sweeping across their throats.
All the fighters shuddered, fell straight to the ground, their throats spraying blood.
In the blink of an eye, all fifteen were dead.
"Go, go, kill him!" Stephanie, filled with grief and anger, shouted to the few strong fighters beside her. "Kill James!"
James turned his body, flashed through a few of the Carter Family's strong fighters, and with a few flashes of blood, they fell with muffled grunts.
All with a single strike to the throat.
James didn't stop, but stepping forward and thrusting fiercely at Stephanie.
Stephanie's face changed dramatically, and she leaped back with all her might.
But halfway through the leap, she stopped because Aether had already pierced her throat.
James spoke indifferently, "Go find your son!"
Stephanie's eyes widened in disbelief, never expecting that James would dare to kill even her.
But no matter how absurd she felt, it was to no avail. She could only feel her life slipping away bit by bit.
Everyone around was even more shocked, their minds blank.
James even killed Stephanie—this whole situation had spiraled way out of control.
At this moment, a voice filled with grief and anger came from behind James, carrying immense hatred and killing intent.
James turned around to see Zachary appearing with a few confidants.
"You... you bastard!" Zachary's eyes were bloodshot, "Kill him!"
What anger could be greater than seeing your wife and son die in front of you?
He had known that his wife and son were intercepting James at the manor gate, so he deliberately stayed away to let them teach James a lesson, even stalling Lancelot with conversation.
Unexpectedly, not only did they fail to cripple James, but they were also mercilessly killed by him.
He was grieving, he was furious, he wanted to kill to vent his anger.
James didn't panic at all, but lightly stomping his right foot.
Along with his sword, he slashed towards Zachary.
Two elders of the Carter Family shook their right hands, attacking James from both sides.
But just as they reached James, their bodies were flung away, clutching their throats as they fell.
James's momentum didn't diminish as he kicked off a body to leap up.
A sword strike came down.
Zachary roared, flipping his wrist, and put on indestructible golden gloves.
James's sword struck the golden gloves.
With a crisp sound, James was flung away, and Zachary also grunted, falling back over ten feet before stopping.
Seeing this, everyone was stunned.
How could this be? Zachary was actually forced back by James?
Zachary was also somewhat incredulous because his golden gloves were starting to crack.
At this moment, he truly realized James's terror, even more daunting than Francis.
"James, I underestimated you, but you killed my wife and son, today you must die!" Zachary stared at James and shouted, "Go to the hell!"
But before he could finish, James suddenly disappeared again.
A wave of killing intent poured out.
Zachary's face changed dramatically, and he thrust his hands forward.
With another loud bang, and in everyone's view, a figure flew out.
It was Zachary!
And at this moment, Zachary's hands were already bloody.
Dozens of onlookers turned pale; James was too powerfu.
Zachary stared at James, "Who are you really?"
James remained silent, lightly stomping his right foot again.
Not far away, Zachary's face changed drastically.
The next moment, he roared, and a powerful force shot towards James.
But as soon as this force appeared, it shattered.
James slashed out thirteen times in one breath, each strike fierce.
In everyone's eyes, Zachary kept retreating, and during the retreat, blood kept splattering from his body.
Dozens of feet later, Zachary's body slammed into the door, leaving over a dozen cracks in the wall behind him.
And at his throat, a sharp sword was deeply stabbed in.
James looked at Zachary and smiled indifferently, "Any last words?"
Zachary was furious but also bewildered. Clearly, James's strength far exceeded his expectations.
Then, he coughed and shouted, "Ja... James, I... uhh... I am an elder of the Mystic Alliance, if... if you dare to kill me, I guarantee you..."
Before he could finish, the sword tip pierced his throat!
Blood spurted from Zachary's throat. He stared at James, "How... how dare you..."
James's face was expressionless, "You... you'd actually kill me?"
James's expression remained blank. "Why wouldn't I?"
Zachary's body convulsed, blood pouring from his mouth and nose, his life slipping away fast.
"Don't worry," James said coldly, scanning the crowd. "Today, I'll not only reunite your family, but I'll make sure every last Carter in Rosewood City joins you in hell. Not a single one of them will walk out of here alive!"
With that, he lunged into the crowd of Carter Family members.
The sword flashed, and in a heartbeat, screams filled the air. Blood sprayed everywhere—it was a total bloodbath.
In seconds, over thirty Carters were wiped out.
With his dying breath, Zachary caught the scene and let out a choked gasp before his head slumped, and he was gone.
Seeing James's ruthlessness, a middle-aged woman who was close to Zachary couldn't help but shout angrily at him, "Son of bitch, you're too much! No matter what Gregory did wrong, you can't just kill people like this!"
Before she could finish, a sharp sound rang out, and Aether pierced her throat.
James spoke indifferently, "Did I give you permission to speak?"
He hated such persons the most. They didn't speak up when they were attacking him, but now that he survived, they were condemning him.
The middle-aged woman fell straight to the ground, dying with her eyes open.
"Let's go to Lancelot," James slightly tilted his head towards Mia. "Bring Zachary's head along."
