Chapter 457 Get Out Here
After cutting ties with Marigold and her daughter, James didn't bother with them anymore.
He took Ruby and Mia around the room, warmly toasting the guests present.
Though he disliked these social gatherings, he knew the importance of maintaining etiquette.
Marigold and Coralie didn't leave immediately. The shock was too great, leaving them dazed and sitting in a corner to collect themselves.
Only now did they realize how absurd and laughable it was to sever ties with James at the Emerald Lake Elite Hotel. They had destroyed all the goodwill Bruce had left behind.
If they had maintained even a sliver of that relationship, they would have thrived instead of ending up with nothing.
They finally understood why James had said they would regret it.
As the atmosphere was at its peak, the doors suddenly burst open with a loud bang, and several members of the Mystic Alliance stumbled in.
Each one was bloodied, with broken limbs, groaning in pain on the floor.
The room fell silent instantly.
Milo's face turned cold. "Who's causing trouble?"
As James looked up, five people from Lumaria, three men and two women, clapped their hands and swaggered into the hall.
"James, get out here!"
The three men and two women were tall, radiant, and looked down on everyone as if nothing in the world could catch their eye.
A woman in white and a man in green led the group, exuding an extraordinary aura.
Several security guards instinctively tried to block them but were kicked away effortlessly with impressive speed and force.
Ollie, seeing this, shouted angrily at his men, "Take them down!"
A dozen men immediately sprang into action, drawing their weapons and surrounding the intruders.
Two Lumaria men stepped forward to confront them head-on, fighting six men each.
A Mystic Alliance member bypassed the two and charged directly at the woman in white.
Before he could touch her, she blocked his arm and kicked him away.
With just one kick, the Mystic Alliance member was sent flying, spitting blood and lying motionless on the carpet.
Then, the sixteen Green family enforcers who had surrounded them were also knocked down, groaning on the floor.
The woman in white and her companions were unstoppable.
Many guests, seeing this, quickly moved aside, fearing they might get caught in the crossfire. They glanced at James and his group, curious to see how they would handle this challenge.
This was a test for the new leader.
Marigold and Coralie, regaining some focus, were both surprised and a bit excited by the scene.
Since they couldn't mend their relationship with James, seeing him in trouble brought them a twisted sense of satisfaction.
They hoped James would suffer, as it would make them feel better.
"Who dares to cause trouble here?" Milo was furious. "Do you have a death wish?"
Today was supposed to be a great day, but these troublemakers had injured their members, making him, the organizer, lose face.
Crazy Bear cracked his neck, ready to step forward.
James gently waved him off and walked to the front. "I'm James. Who are you?"
He didn't want a brawl to ruin the banquet.
The woman stepped forward. "I'm Primrose Wells, and this is my senior, Manuel Barnett. We're disciples of Dane."
"You killed our junior, Aurelia. We're here for an explanation."
Manuel, the man in green, snorted, "Cut off your hands and come with us to see our master. He might spare your life."
"Otherwise, we'll wipe out the Glowing Oasis Mystic Alliance tonight and break your limbs as an offering to Aurelia."
Their companions also looked at James arrogantly, ignoring everyone else in the room.
Having defeated over forty Mystic Alliance members on their way in, Primrose and her group deemed the Glowing Oasis Mystic Alliance a bunch of weaklings.
Hearing they were Dane's students, Ruby and the others became wary, knowing Dane's ruthlessness.
"An explanation?" James said calmly. "She was just a nobody. Killing her was no big deal. But you, barging into my banquet and injuring my people, owe me an explanation."
Mia and the others quickly blocked the doors and exits.
Primrose sneered, raising a curved blade. "Who do you think you are?"
"James, I'll say this one last time. Before I lose my temper, cut off your hands and come with us to await your punishment!"
Primrose's face grew colder. "Or I'll kill you all."
Having encountered no high-level members on their way in, she didn't take the seemingly frail James seriously.
Regularly, people should act cautiously on others' turf, but who were they? They were students of Dane, one of the top ten sword saints, a renowned figure in Lumaria.
What was a small group like the Glowing Oasis Mystic Alliance compared to that?
Primrose's arrogance made Marigold's breath quicken. She clenched her fists, silently cheering for James to be taken down, to see him brought low.
Facing Primrose's arrogance, James merely smiled. "What an idiot."
Primrose, enraged, pointed at James arrogantly . "You're making me very angry. Cut off one arm, and you might live a few more days."
James chuckled. "You think you're worthy of fighting me?"
"Stubborn fool!" Primrose's face darkened. "Then go to hell."
She lunged at James, slashing with her blade swiftly and fiercely.
Ruby instinctively cried out, "Watch out."
James didn't even glance at her. He simply swung his left hand, delivering a slap.
A thunderous crash followed, her cheek reddening and swelling in an instant. The force of the blow sent her sprawling, crashing hard into a table.
Wood splintered, dishes clattered to the floor, and several bottles shattered. Blood trickled from the corner of Primrose's mouth.
The room went deathly silent.
Several injured Mystic Alliance members stared at James in shock. They knew how strong Primrose was.
But now, not only had she failed to kill James, but she had also been slapped away by him.
How was this possible?
Primrose was both angry and humiliated. She had intended to torment James but ended up being slapped.
Feeling rustrated and miserable, she glared at James, both angry and shocked. "You coward, you ambushed me?"
James didn't waste words. He stepped forward and slapped her again.
Primrose was sent flying once more, leaving a trail on the floor, looking utterly pathetic.
"Ambush?" James didn't stop, stepping forward and slapping her again. "You call this ambush?"
Primrose tried to dodge with all her might but couldn't escape.
She screamed in pain, rolling away, her cheeks swollen.
Marigold's mouth hung open, her expression a mix of shock and amazement.
