Chapter 174 Any Objections?
'Badge? A badge?'
Sebastian and his group stared at James in shock, unable to accept what they were seeing!
Everyone in SH Group knew that the badge represented Aaron's will. It not only allowed the holder to mobilize resources and personnel but also granted the power of life and death.
Even Sebastian didn't have the authority of the badge.
No matter how high one's status, it couldn't surpass the rules of SH Group and the authority of the badge.
Sebastian and his group also knew that the badge had always been with his father and couldn't possibly be lost, which meant that James really had a connection with Aaron.
Moreover, it was clear that Aaron valued James highly; otherwise, he wouldn't have let an outsider hold the badge.
'How is this possible?'
A son-in-law living with his wife's family, standing on equal footing with the underground king of Rosewood City, was hard to believe.
Sebastian looked at James with a serious expression and asked, "Who are you?"
"Who am I?" James poured another glass of wine, took a sip, and said, "I saved your grandmother, I saved your father. So, who do you think I am?"
"You saved my grandmother and my father?"
Sebastian repeated, his face changing dramatically.
"You're James? Mr. Williams?"
Although he lived a lazy, hedonistic life every day, he was still aware of what happened in his family and knew very well who had saved his grandmother and father.
Aaron had also warned him never to mess with James, or Sebastian would have to face the consequences.
Sebastian never expected that the guy he planned to beat up tonight was James.
Before Sebastian and his group could react, James took out his phone, put it on speaker, and dialed a number.
Soon, the call connected, and a hoarse, slightly grating laugh came through.
"James, good evening. What brings you to call me?"
Hearing this voice, Sebastian turned ashen.
His companions also dropped their bottles with a clatter, cold sweat instantly soaking their backs.
They all recognized the voice; it was Aaron.
"Aaron, I'm sorry to bother you so late."
James exchanged a few pleasantries, then changed his tone.
"I just ran into someone at Glory Bar who claims to be Sebastian, your son, and he's got quite a few people with him."
"He also took a liking to my female companion and wanted her to spend the night with him."
"I said a few words to him and slapped him three times, and he called for the place to be cleared out and threatened to smash my head with a hundred bottles."
"I thought, Aaron is so wise, how could he have such a spoiled son?"
"I doubted his identity, so I called you to verify."
"I wouldn't want to accidentally hurt or cripple them and damage our friendship."
Sebastian's eyelids twitched, his fists clenched, filled with anger but more with fear.
Although he was arrogant and domineering outside, he instinctively feared his father, whose authority had weighed on him for over twenty years.
James' accusations made him uneasy, and his left leg, once broken by his father, began to ache inexplicably.
His companions also started to tremble.
"Is that so?"
Aaron's voice turned cold and authoritative, and then he said emotionlessly, "Mr. Williams, if it's convenient, let him come over and talk to me. If he really is my unfilial son, I will give you an explanation."
The latter part of his sentence was filled with both helplessness and seriousness.
"Alright."
James held the phone and smiled faintly, looking at Sebastian not far away.
"But I'll go over instead. He's the formidable Sebastian; how could I ask him to come over to talk to you? I'll bring the phone to him. Mr. Collins, please wait a moment!"
Amid Aaron's helpless laughter, James stood up and walked toward Sebastian.
Dozens of black-clad men and companions nervously made their way.
Unfortunately, James didn't let off those who had intended to harm him.
As he passed, he either slapped them or kicked them hard.
All of them were knocked to the ground by James, filled with grief and indignation but not daring to utter a word of complaint, let alone fight back.
Yara and her beautiful companions retreated in panic.
What shocked them even more was that when James reached Sebastian, he didn't hand over the phone but kicked him to the ground.
For someone who had planned to kill him, how could James not teach him a lesson?
Sebastian was furious but could only swallow his anger.
"Mr. Collins, the phone!"
Sebastian's overwhelming anger was extinguished by the phone James handed over.
He took the phone and went to a corner to talk, his changing expressions clearly visible under the bright light.
It didn't take long for Sebastian to return to James, his face no longer arrogant but filled with helplessness and reluctance.
But he still handed the phone back to James.
James took it and heard Aaron's raspy voice, "Mr. Williams, Sebastian may be my son, but wrong is wrong. Tonight, you can handle it however you see fit. Even if you cripple him, I won't say a word."
Aaron didn't beat around the bush or plead for his son; he directly gave James the green light to deal with the situation.
"Mr. Collins, you're too kind. I just called to confirm." James smiled innocently. "Since he really is your son, this matter can be easily resolved."
Aaron laughed heartily. "Mr. Williams, no more words. Come to the Collins family another day, and I'll treat you to a drink. We won't leave until we're drunk."
As soon as James hung up, Sebastian approached and said, "Mr. Williams, I'm sorry for offending you today. I apologize. Let's end this matter here. You and your friends won't have any more trouble, and I'll compensate them with a million dollars."
Aaron didn't scold Sebastian over the phone; he just confirmed his identity and then told him to apologize to James and let James handle it.
Otherwise, he would deal with Sebastian himself.
Sebastian feared his father, so he compromised, but he still felt resentful toward James, thinking his father only valued James for his medical skills.
In other words, Sebastian believed James was using his father's influence to oppress him.
James could see the resentment in Sebastian's eyes, so he smiled nonchalantly and patted his face. "You seem unconvinced?"
He smirked, "Do you think I'm only relying on your father's favor?"
Sebastian stepped back to avoid James' hand and, holding back his anger, replied, "Mr. Williams, enough is enough."
He still believed that James' backing was his father.
Without further ado, James grabbed a bottle and applied pressure with his palm.
The bottle shattered instantly.
James swept his hand.
Glass shards flew out.
A dozen screams echoed simultaneously.
All of Sebastian's dozen henchmen shuddered, clutching their wrists and retreating.
Each wrist had a glass shard embedded in it.
Blood flowed, a gruesome sight.
Yara and the other beautiful companions screamed and dodged.
Shock!
Stiffness!
Astonishment!
Sebastian's mouth hung open like a hippo's, his last bit of arrogance crumbling away.
He never expected James to shatter a bottle with one hand and injure a dozen people with the shards.
Probably only Richard could achieve such skill.
So powerful!
Incredibly powerful.
Seeing this, he realized that his father had him apologize not to protect James but to save their lives.
Otherwise, they would have been trampled to death by James.
James grabbed another bottle and smashed it over Sebastian's head.
The bottle shattered, and blood flowed.
Sebastian grunted, staggering back a few steps.
It hurt, but he didn't dare complain.
"Harassing Kaitlyn, one bottle for you," James said calmly. "Any objections?"
Sebastian, holding his head, shook it. "No."
James grabbed another bottle and smashed it.
Sebastian grunted again, blood flowing even more.
"Clearing the place to kill me, one bottle for you."
James wiped his hands with a tissue. "Any objections?"
For someone like Sebastian, if you don't beat him thoroughly, he'll cause more trouble in the future.
Hearing James' question, Sebastian managed to squeeze out, "No objections."
Seeing this, Yara and the other companions were slightly dazed, finding it unbelievable.
In their impression, when had Sebastian ever been so weak?
Their previous disdain for James had now turned into admiration.
"No objections, good." James smiled and patted Sebastian's shoulder. "Let's put this matter to rest?"
Sebastian bit his lip. "It's up to you."
James smiled and nodded slightly. "Alright, it's settled. Go, release Kaitlyn and the others!"
Sebastian immediately arranged for it to be done.
James looked at the now subdued Sebastian and said with a smile, "Don't feel wronged. Tonight's humiliation is good for you, not bad."
"Think about it, if you hadn't met a good person like me but someone equally skilled and ruthless, you'd be dead by now."
He tilted his head slightly. "Get lost."
"Understood, understood."
Sebastian and his group left in a hurry.
