Chapter 446 Not About the Pig Farm

Seeing The Dragon's Breath drag Micah and Lavinia away, Isla and the others were left in stunned silence.

No one had expected Byron to be so ruthless and cold-hearted.

Even if he didn't care about Micah and his sister, he should have shown some respect to Ulysses and his people. But instead, Ulysses was thrown to the ground.

Anyone who tried to intervene was shot down in a hail of bullets, lying in a pool of blood.

Although Isla and the others had heard about The Dragon's Breath's brutal methods, witnessing it firsthand was a shock.

It was too brutal.

Ulysses, who was always so arrogant, felt the inhuman brutality.

He considered himself a man who valued strength and preferred to solve problems with force rather than schemes, but compared to The Dragon's Breath, he was nothing.

Thinking of Micah and Lavinia's miserable state, he quickly pulled out his phone and started making calls.

He called for help, complained, and accused.

But after seven or eight calls, there was no effect. Even his closest connections refused to get involved when they heard it was about The Dragon's Breath.

No one wanted to risk it. The Dragon's Breath could easily crush them with an inside job or a swift execution, leaving them severely damaged.

"Damn it!"

Seeing that none of his connections were willing to help, Ulysses nearly crushed his phone in frustration.

The helplessness and anger made him feel extremely stifled.

He had never imagined that one day he would be treated like this, so powerless and unable to do anything.

The Dragon's Breath's involvement made everyone avoid the issue like the plague.

The women around Ulysses looked at him in disbelief.

They couldn't believe that Ulysses not only couldn't suppress Byron but also couldn't find anyone to rescue Micah and Lavinia.

Otto and the others' eyes narrowed, each of them wondering if they should be more cautious in the future.

If someone as important as Lavinia and Micah could be beaten and captured at will, what chance did they have? They could die without anyone caring.

They also began to fear James. Bullying a doctor had brought Byron into the fray, and Byron didn't care about offending The Gonzalez Family. It was no small matter.

"Uncle Ulysses, what do we do now?" After Ulysses vented his anger, Isla spoke up, pulling him aside and whispering, "Are we just going to let them run wild?"

"James was the one who provoked us first, but now it's our problem? Is there no justice? No law?"

"And Micah, who has been pampered since childhood, now has injured hands. If he's taken in, he'll suffer."

"Lavinia too, her head is bleeding. If we don't get them out quickly, she might go crazy."

Isla's anxious face made Ulysses think of a solution. "Besides, if we don't resolve this quickly, I'm worried the Rivera family will take advantage of the situation."

Thinking of Micah's pierced hands and Lavinia's bleeding head, Isla couldn't help but feel distressed and hated James even more.

"Resolve it?" Ulysses's anger flared up again. "If I could resolve it, I would have done it already. Seven or eight calls, and not a single person willing to help."

"Everyone turned into cowards when they heard The Dragon's Breath was involved. They didn't even dare to brush me off."

"The Dragon's Breath is like a fortress, impenetrable. How am I supposed to resolve this?"

"It's all your fault, you useless people. You couldn't hold onto the Glowing Oasis victory and created this mess, giving others plenty of leverage."

He scolded Isla harshly. The situation with Aurelia could be big or small, and if not handled well, Micah and Lavinia might never get out.

With all his connections failing, he figured he might have to go back and ask Quinton Gonzalez for help.

With Quinton's intervention, the matter could be resolved, but it would make Ulysses look incompetent and useless, likely lowering his status.

This made Ulysses very angry.

"Mr. Gonzalez, there's actually someone you can turn to." Doyle, who had been silent, suddenly spoke up, "If he steps in, The Dragon's Breath might show some respect."

Ulysses's voice deepened, "Who?"

"Trevor of the Lee family." Doyle lowered his voice. "He's donated a lot of money to The Dragon's Breath and has some connections with Byron."

Ulysses's eyes lit up.

Isla hesitated. "We've had some conflicts with the Lee family. If we ask them for help now, will Trevor..."

Back then, The Gonzalez Family had taken advantage of the Lee family's troubles, and it was Isla who had delivered the message. Now, asking Trevor for help felt difficult.

Ulysses waved his hand. "It doesn't matter what his attitude is. As long as there's hope, we have to try."

For him, sacrificing some pride was better than going back and being despised by Quinton.

An hour later, Ulysses appeared at the Lee family's Sky Pavilion, his usual arrogance replaced with humility and patience.

Trevor didn't put on airs. As soon as he was informed, he came out with a cane, smiling as he sat across from Ulysses, "Mr. Gonzalez, sorry for the delay. I was just getting some rest. Please forgive me."

He called out, "Olivia, make some coffee."

Olivia quickly brought out a pot of coffee.

"You're too kind. We're all friends here, no need to be so formal."

"I came tonight for two reasons. First, to apologize for Micah's past actions. He shouldn't have taken advantage of the Lee family during your difficult times."

Ulysses scolded. "I've already punished him severely and whipped him. I'll have him come and apologize in person another day."

"It's nothing." Trevor laughed heartily. "I've long forgotten about the three hundred million dollars for the pig farm. It's in the past, let's not bring it up."

Ulysses was taken aback, what was he talking about?

Trevor's laughter was loud. "Back then, you wanted to make a name for yourself, so I supported you by setting up a pig farm in your district."

"I thought a few million dollars would be enough, but you took three hundred million from me."

"I was angry at the time, but it's been years. I've let it go and just see it as a joke now."

He placed the coffee in front of Ulysses. "Please, enjoy the coffee."

Ulysses's mouth twitched. "Mr. Lee, I was talking about Micah forcing Olivia. I'm very sorry."

Trevor waved his hand again. "It's just a Royal Court Hotel. As long as it doesn't harm our relationship, you can have it."

Ulysses's eyelid twitched, glancing at Olivia.

Olivia apologized, "Mr. Gonzalez, sorry, my grandfather's mind has been affected by the news of his grandchildren's deaths, and his hearing isn't great. I'll explain it to him."

"Grandpa, it's not about the pig farm..." She leaned close to Trevor's ear and repeated what Ulysses had said.

"I see." Trevor understood and looked apologetically at Ulysses. "Sorry, I misheard."

"But it's no big deal. Young people can be reckless."

He was very straightforward. "It's in the past. Let's not mention the forced marriage again, to avoid hurting our relationship."

"Thank you." Ulysses breathed a sigh of relief and then smiled, "There's one more thing tonight. I hope you can speak to Byron."

"He has my nephew and niece detained..."

He then briefly explained what happened at the Royal Court Hotel, of course, omitting certain details and painting Micah and Lavinia as innocent.

Finally, he grasped Trevor's hand. "Mr. Lee, you have to help me with this."

"What?" Trevor shouted, "You want to give me the number eight plot in Stardust City?"
