Chapter 361 Crushing Bones and Scattering Ashes

"It's okay, it's over now."

Seeing Ingrid admit her mistake, James gave a faint smile. He then grabbed her severed finger and pricked it a few times with a silver needle.

"I've stabilized the injury and slowed down the nerve healing process."

"Go find your finger and get it reattached at the hospital. It should regain its flexibility."

He added, "By the way, your finger is behind the rock garden. Mrs. Rivera just threw it up."

The intense pain Ingrid felt instantly dissipated, and the bleeding stopped. She was momentarily stunned, then overjoyed. "Thank you, Mr. Williams, thank you."

All her resistance and dissatisfaction toward James vanished. Besides his mysterious abilities, it was his kindness that moved her.

She had been prepared to live with a disability, but now there was hope of reattaching her finger. Ingrid was immensely grateful to James.

Ingrid vowed to find a valuable gift from her auction house to give to James.

James waved his hand. "Don't waste time. Go find your finger."

"Got it." Ingrid turned and ran to the backyard to find her finger.

Seeing James's skill, Gerald was even more impressed. "Mr. Williams, your medical skills are truly remarkable."

Kaida snorted proudly. "See, I told you Dr. Williams is amazing, but you didn't believe me."

"You always side with outsiders." Gerald laughed and patted Kaida's head. "Alright, alright, I was wrong. From now on, I'll trust James unconditionally."

James smiled. "Just doing what I can."

"Your skills are far beyond just getting by. You could be considered a saint."

Gerald highly praised James and then personally poured him a glass of water.

"Mr. Williams, why have Marcella and I been so unlucky? Is it really related to those graves?"

"But why are Kaida and the others unaffected?"

Gerald looked puzzled.

"Of course, it's related. Although you removed the graves, the lingering negative energy hasn't dissipated."

"And you planted a phoenix tree and raised koi fish, which trapped and accumulated this negative energy."

James explained simply, "The phoenix tree absorbs energy from the soil containing negative energy, and the koi swim in water permeated with it."

"Over time, this energy becomes significant. What was once harmless negative energy turns into something that disturbs the mind."

"This negative energy is concentrated around the tree and the pond. Since you climb the tree and fish regularly, the energy invades your body."

"Gu is sensitive to negative energy, so it instinctively bit you."

"Mrs. Rivera, being physically weak, was possessed by an evil spirit, causing today's disaster."

"Ms. Rivera and the others have less contact, so they're healthier, but over time, they would also be affected."

James smiled. "Think of it this way: lots of trees, lots of water, and it's a burial ground. Even without ghosts, there are more bacteria here."

"If I'm not mistaken, Ms. Rivera and the bodyguards often have minor illnesses, even if they don't have major ones."

James looked at Kaida and the others.

Kaida and the others nodded repeatedly. Indeed, they often caught colds, had fevers, or skin allergies.

"I understand now. Thank you for the reminder, James."

Gerald had an epiphany.

"James, once Marcella recovers, if I take her away from here, will her condition not relapse?"

James nodded slightly. "For now, don't live here. But you don't have to abandon it. I can help you renovate."

"As long as the air circulates and we gather positive energy to dispel the negative, you can continue living here."

James could see Gerald was reluctant to leave.

Gerald was overjoyed. "Thank you so much."

"There's one more thing to do." James finished his water. "At dawn, gather some people and dig up a grave for me."

Gerald was stunned but nodded decisively. "I'll do whatever you say, James."

He now followed James's instructions without question.

At dawn, Gerald followed James's orders, bringing in a crusher and three excavators.

James reopened the blood jade and wandered around the Rivera Manor. An hour later, he stopped at the koi pond.

The pond was long and narrow, like an arrow, running through the entire Rivera Manor.

James went to one end of the arrow, where there was a hot spring that Marcella often soaked in.

James tilted his head slightly. "Drain the water and dig."

The pond was beautiful, and it was a shame to break it, but Gerald still gave the order to start.

Two hours later, the water at the bottom of the pond was drained. The crusher and excavators began working, breaking through the bottom and digging deeper.

Tiles were removed, concrete was dug up, and stones were excavated. The hole grew larger and deeper, soon reaching nine feet.

James and Gerald waited quietly.

Three hours later, an excavator operator shouted, "We've hit something!"

Gerald and the others approached, letting the excavator continue.

Soon, they saw a coffin.

It was made of iron, wrapped in many red ropes, though the ropes had rotted, and the coffin was missing a corner, likely due to years of moisture.

The coffin lid was engraved with a black cherry blossom, looking eerie and dizzying.

Kaida and the others were shocked. They thought all the graves had been dug up years ago, but here was another coffin.

"It's a warrior buried for over half a century, more precisely a military doctor, sealed here by an exorcist to prevent reincarnation."

"Unable to reincarnate, he was filled with resentment. When you planted the tree and built the pond, it corroded the ropes and coffin."

"He got the chance to harm people."

James explained to Gerald. "But being bound for so long, he's not strong, so he could only possess Mrs. Rivera."

Kaida and the others were bewildered, their scientific understanding turned upside down.

Gerald's eyelid twitched. He asked softly, "James, what should we do now?"

In the silence, James jumped down and kicked the coffin lid off.

A heavy, oppressive air surged up, revealing a large corpse.

Despite the years, the body hadn't fully decayed, and the face was recognizable.

It was the warrior.

His right hand still held a medical box, labeled 'Blood Medical Sect.'

As the wind blew, the warrior's eyes seemed to open slightly.

"What are you staring at?" James raised an axe and chopped off the head.

"Burn it!" he ordered.

Meanwhile, far away in Lumaria, a spirit tablet shattered.
