Chapter 201 Mr. Morris is Coming

"I kicked your ex-wife out. Feeling a bit torn?" Olivia asked James with a sly grin after Mary left. "Need a hand getting her back?"

Even though she played it cool, James could sense her nerves and unease.

He replied softly, "What's gone is gone."

Olivia linked her arm with his. "Not exactly. Maybe one day, when the time's right, things will fall back into place."

She really didn't want to talk about Mary; it made her uneasy. But she knew it was unavoidable, so she had to face it.

"You're overthinking it," James deflected with a smile. "There's no way I can go back to her. Addison would love to strangle me. How could I return to the Smith Family?"

Olivia's eyelashes lowered. "If you want it, nothing can stop you."

"Alright, let's drop the Smith Family talk. It's not realistic," James changed the subject. "What goodies did you bring today?"

"We had dinner at Whispering Willow Retreat. Some big shots didn't eat much, so I packed up the untouched food and drinks for the workers."

Olivia put away her emotions and raised the food box with a smile. "I also brought you a few cans of fish gelatin. You're so busy every day. If you don't take care of yourself, you'll collapse."

She pulled James to sit down and then took out a can of fish gelatin.

Sometimes, once she had made the choice, she could only move forward, no matter what would happen.

James asked, "You had dinner with Raymond and the others?"

Olivia smiled. "Scott, Jacob Davis, Aaron, Raymond, Patrick, Andrew—basically all the big shots of Rosewood City were there."

James was shocked. "What happened?"

He knew something big must have gone down; otherwise, these people wouldn't have gathered.

"These days, it seems calm on the surface, but a lot's been happening."

Olivia didn't hide anything from James. While opening the fish gelatin for him, she explained, "Things have escalated between Bryan and us.. He launched over twenty attacks on us, and we also tried to take him out over ten times."

"Both sides failed. We're all fine, and Bryan is also unharmed."

"Bryan threatened to take us down with him, and we decided to fight back at all costs. We absolutely can't let Bryan return to Rosewood City."

"At this point, the Morris Family from Stardust City stepped in to mediate the conflict."

"The Morris Family said that if both sides keep this up, not only will our safety be at risk, but it will also endanger our families and make Rosewood City unstable."

"So the Morris Family suggested that each side send ten highly skilled fighters for a decisive battle."

"If Bryan wins, he can return to Rosewood City and settle down, but he must not cause trouble for us after returning."

"If we win, Bryan can only die in exile and must give up any thoughts of returning to Rosewood City, and transfer the remaining properties to us."

"We gathered at noon to discuss this matter."

Olivia recounted the dangerous conflict as if it were a story, but James could feel the tension.

These days, many people on both sides must have died.

"Sure, the proposal sounds good, but it's clear the Morris Family is siding with Bryan," James said, taking a bite of the fish gelatin. "Bryan was tough before, but you beat him once. No matter how much he's grown over the years, it takes time to build strength."

Rebuilding was not just talk; it required boots on the ground and some serious cash.

"Ten years is a decent stretch, but it ain't enough for Bryan to get back to his peak. Dude's not even close to where he was a decade ago. How's he gonna stack up against Raymond and the others who've been grinding for ten years?"

"These recent attacks? Bryan's just flailing, barely making a dent. Hold tight for another month, and he'll be toast."

"The Morris Family stepping in now? Looks like they're helping you and Rosewood City, but they're really giving Bryan a lifeline."

James squinted. "The Morris Family's got a soft spot for him."

"You're sharp, babe," Olivia giggled, almost melting into James' arms. "We're on the same page. We figure a few more hits on Bryan will drain him dry."

"But with the Morris Family butting in, we can't just ignore them. Mr. Miller could've mediated, but he's too sick to deal with this."

"So we thought, let's go for the showdown. We're strong and not scared of Bryan."

She showed confidence. "And if we take out Bryan's top ten fighters, he won't be able to cause any more trouble."

James squinted again. Bryan was indeed a tough nut, able to contend with the Morris Family.

James never thought that even though he tried to overestimate Bryan, he still underestimated him.

He looked at Olivia in his arms. "So you finally decided to have a showdown with Bryan?"

Olivia nodded. "Yep, a week from now, at Taiping Boxing Arena, a fight to the death."

"Don't sweat it, this is about the power structure of Rosewood City. Raymond and the others are united, and a bunch of skilled fighters are rushing back to Rosewood City. Richard also agreed to oversee the battle personally. If needed, he'll step in. He's the top fighter in Rosewood City. Bryan got wrecked and captured by him with one strike back then."

Olivia's face glowed with confidence about the upcoming battle at Taiping Boxing Arena.

Seeing her so confident, James nodded lightly, but a thought crossed his mind, 'Bryan wouldn't come unprepared for revenge after ten years.'

Almost at the same time, Addison, who had fled back to the Smith Family villa, was lying on the sofa, munching on chilled watermelon and cursing James.

After cursing, she looked around for her husband's agreement, only to find Charles standing in the study, staring at a blueprint.

On the blueprint, Cloud Top Mountain was clearly visible.

"How many years has it been? Why are you still obsessing over Cloud Top Mountain?" Addison was furious. "You're fifty now. Even if you were thirty years younger, at twenty, you still couldn't build it. You blew it back then with all that money and opportunity. Now it's even more impossible, and the Smith Family won't let you build it. And I never bought into those geographical energy lines. Stop daydreaming. Instead of wasting time, think about how to get Mary married to a good family so we can get back into the Smith Family sooner."

She scolded Charles and was about to tear up the blueprint when her phone rang.

She quickly answered the call, and moments later, Addison was overjoyed. "What? Mr. Morris is coming to Rosewood City in a few days?"
