Chapter 223 If You Beat Him to Death, It's on Me

Larry was coming?

Everyone except James looked like they'd seen a ghost, eyes glued to Damon.

'If Larry shows up, James is done for. Larry's as tough as Richard.'they thought.

Nathaniel's face twisted, sensing the storm brewing.

Damon puffed out his chest. "Yep, my grandpa's on his way to Rosewood City."

The crowd collectively lost their minds.

"Your grandpa? Big deal," James swaggered up to Damon. "Think I won't take him down too?"

Damon chuckled. "Take down my grandpa? James, you're outta your mind. Even ten of you couldn't handle him. He'd squash you like a bug. Just wait, you'll be begging for mercy."

He didn't wanna waste more breath on James. He'd seen cocky, but this was a whole new level.

The girls in the group snapped out of it, laughing at James. Larry wasn't someone to mess with.

"James, should we call Mr. Davis?" Mia asked, dead serious. "Larry's got a high rank and mad martial arts skills. He's not as strong as Mr. Davis, but he's still a beast. None of us can take him."

In Rosewood City, only Richard had intermediate-level martial arts. Larry, who just hit that level, had every right to be cocky.

James shrugged. "Whatever. If he comes, I'll still beat him."

Mia was floored by James' confidence but didn't push it.

In less than ten minutes, seven or eight cars rolled up, parting the crowd, and parked next to Damon and his crew.

Eighteen dudes in combat gear jumped out first, looking all serious and ready to throw down.

Then, an old man stepped out.

He was 5'11", with a youthful face, white hair, and a strong presence.

It was Larry.

People quickly recognized him from official photos.

They were impressed Damon got Larry to come, showing their strong bond.

Ray's face turned pale, sensing today was not his day.

The girls with the Bells were buzzing again.

With Larry here, Nathaniel and Ray had to back off.

James was in deep trouble.

People were itching to see James get his comeuppance.

"That kid James, I underestimated him," someone said.

"Yeah, making Ray kneel was wild, but so what?" another added.

"Does he think he can take on Mr. Green?"

"He's just a nobody."

"He'll soon see the gap between him and Mr. Green."

The crowd looked at James with pity.

'A nobody is still a nobody; borrowed power can't compete with the Bell family's foundation,' many thought.

"Grandpa," Damon called out, leading John and the others to greet Larry.

"Damon, what happened? Why'd you call me?" Larry asked, stroking his beard.

He had important business, but Damon called him right off the plane.

Damon pointed at James. "That guy bullied me, using his connections and numbers."

"Bastard!" Larry saw Damon's injuries and his eyes turned red.

Damon was usually the bully, not the bullied.

After hearing Damon's complaint, Larry kicked Ray, sending him flying.

Before Ray could get up, a Mystic Alliance member punched him in the nose.

Blood splattered, and as Ray's head swayed, several more people kicked him to the ground.

Four or five people took turns kicking and stomping him, their attacks so vicious people couldn't bear to watch.

Ray could resist but didn't dare fight back; Larry could crush him. He just covered his head and took the beating. Soon, his face was bruised, ribs broken, and blood trickled from his mouth.

"Useless," Larry muttered, clearly pissed at Ray's betrayal, letting his guys beat him until his head bled.

John and the others watched with satisfaction. Nathaniel and Mia were shocked by Larry's dominance. James just watched, seemingly uninterested.

After half a minute, Larry stopped his men and glared at James. "You touched my Damon?"

"Yeah," James replied confidently.

"Good, very good," Larry laughed, then his tone turned icy. "Do you know the consequences?"

James smirked. "Aren't you gonna ask why I hit him?"

The women sneered, thinking James was nuts to try reasoning now.

"No need to ask," Larry said, walking up with his hands behind his back, eyes locked on James. "I only need to know you touched Damon."

Damon added fuel to the fire. "Grandpa, he said he'd beat you up too."

John and the others chimed in, "Yeah, he really said that."

"Beat me? He's delusional," Larry laughed angrily. "Kid, if I don't teach you a lesson, you won't know your place."

James asked, "No reasoning?"

"Reasoning?" Larry sneered. "Fists are the reason. Power is the reason. The weak can only kneel and beg. Ask him," he pointed at Ray.

James said calmly, "Looks like it's gonna come to blows."

"Kneel, kowtow, admit your mistake, let Damon punish you, and I might spare you," Larry said arrogantly. "Otherwise, I'll go after your family too."

Larry's words were firm. In Rosewood City, only Richard made him wary; no one else was as powerful.

Mia looked at James anxiously, holding her phone, unsure what to do, worried Larry might kill James in anger. But James had said he didn't need Richard's help.

James squinted, 'Involve my family?' Larry and Damon were really alike.

"Scared now?" Damon stepped forward, expressionless. "Weren't you so arrogant? Why aren't you jumping around now? If you're scared, kneel first."

Everyone thought James was scared. No matter how strong he was, would he dare challenge Larry?

But then, a shocking change occurred.

James backhanded a slap! Damon was sent flying.

"Who do you think you are? Daring to ask me to kneel?" James mocked.

"Grandpa," Damon lay on the ground, clutching his cheek, furious and in disbelief.

Everyone was stunned, mouths agape. With Larry and so many fighters around, James still dared to act. Was he in a hurry to die?

Larry was the most astonished. Anyone with sense would have backed down. He was the president of the Los Angeles Mystic Alliance, held a high position, and was skilled in martial arts. Killing James would be easy.

But James ignored him and slapped Damon in public, a huge loss of face for him and the Mystic Alliance.

"Get him!" Larry helped Damon up, enraged. "If he dies, it's on me."

A dozen Mystic Alliance disciples cracked their necks and stepped forward with sinister smiles. Everyone held their breath, convinced James was doomed.

At that moment, James pulled an object from his pocket. With a quick motion, it turned into a deterrent stick. The word "Lancelot" was engraved in the middle, piercing the soul.

The Mystic Alliance disciples instantly stopped in their tracks.
