Chapter 425 Three Surprises

Before White Wolf and his crew could corner James, he had already slipped away.

If it weren't for his plan to use Aurelia to gauge the Blood Medical Sect, he would have taken her out long ago.

James returned to Leo Villa to find Clifford and the others already asleep. The house was dark and quiet, except for the light in Samantha's room.

The soft glow gave off a warm, homely vibe, making James feel like he was truly home.

He closed the door behind him and headed to the bathroom for a shower. To his surprise, the place was spotless, and a set of pajamas was laid out for him. The water heater was even set to the perfect temperature.

James paused, feeling a rare sense of care and tenderness. It had been a long time since he felt this way. He then enjoyed a long, hot shower.

Just as he was about to rest, he heard a gentle knock on his door.

Samantha's soft voice came through, "You haven't eaten yet, have you?"

Samantha was wearing a white t-shirt, cropped jeans, and white canvas shoes, looking youthful and vibrant.

It was clear she hadn't gone to bed yet and had been waiting for James to return.

James realized he hadn't eaten anything since the afternoon. He nodded. "Did you make noodles again?"

Samantha bit her lip. "I saved some food for you."

It was obvious she had cooked dinner.

"I told you to rest. Why did you do so much work again?" James scolded her lightly. "What if your injury flares up?"

Samantha lowered her head. "I'm fine."

"Don't overwork yourself next time. Focus on getting better first," James said, throwing on a shirt. "Alright, let's eat."

Samantha smiled and led James to the dining table.

The food was simple but looked and smelled delicious, making James's mouth water.

He sat down happily. "Get me a beer."

Samantha quickly ran to the kitchen and returned with a bottle of beer.

James took it and noticed it was at room temperature. "Why isn't it cold?"

Samantha gently replied, "It's late fall, and it's getting chilly. It's not good to drink cold beer this late."

"Beer isn't good unless it's cold," James said, tossing the bottle back to her. "Get me a cold one."

"Please don't drink cold beer," Samantha pleaded, her eyelashes fluttering. "It's not good for you this late."

James tapped her on the head with his finger. "I'm thirsty. How can I eat without something to drink?"

Samantha rubbed her forehead and offered a bowl of soup. "Soup can quench your thirst too."

James grumbled, "The soup is too hot. How can I drink it?"

"I'll blow on it for you," Samantha said, bringing the bowl to her lips and gently blowing on it. The steam created ripples, and her lips turned a tempting shade of red.

Once the soup had cooled a bit, she handed it to him. "Here, drink it while it's warm."

James's eyes softened as he took the bowl and drank it all in one go. Then he started eating heartily.

Samantha had clearly studied James's tastes, as the food was just to his liking. He ate with great satisfaction, though he found the fish too bony and didn't eat much of it.

Seeing him struggle with the fish bones, Samantha carefully picked them out and handed the fish to him.

She was truly considerate.

James looked at her. "You're so good to me. Should I ask you to warm my bed too?"

"Warm your bed?" Samantha looked puzzled, then nodded. "Okay."

James couldn't help but laugh, tapping her head again. "Do you even know what that means?"

"No," Samantha said, rubbing her forehead and looking at him innocently. "Doesn't it mean making the bed warm?"

"That's the literal meaning, but actually..." James decided not to tease her further. "Never mind, forget I said anything."

He continued eating until he was full, then wiped his mouth with a napkin and stood up. "I'm done."

As he was about to head to his room, Samantha grabbed his hand.

"I know, wait half an hour before going to bed," James said with a helpless smile. "I'll take a walk in the garden."

He knew Samantha well. She might seem delicate, but once she made up her mind, nothing could change it.

He walked to the garden, leaving Samantha to clean up.

In the garden gazebo, James sent a few messages to Mary and Olivia, then logged into Cloud Sound on his phone.

He browsed through Kaitlyn's videos and saw she was doing well. Though still a supporting actress, she was now well taken care of, and no one dared to trouble her.

Just as he was about to log out, he noticed Coralie singing live.

A song about undying love sounded more like a tale of infidelity in her rendition.

Coralie had transformed from her once pure and cute image to a more seductive and glamorous one, wearing designer clothes and looking very polished.

James noticed that Coralie's popularity had skyrocketed. She was now among the top five on the platform, with nearly a million viewers and numerous sponsors. She was bringing in almost five million dollars a month for the platform.

Clearly, the tip James had given her had catapulted her to fame, attracting attention and investment from the platform.

'Let's help her out again for Uncle Bruce's sake,' James thought, deciding to be generous. After all, he had just made some extra money from Aurelia.

He recharged his account with another ten million dollars and tipped Coralie.

The live stream went silent for a moment before exploding with activity. Coralie was overwhelmed, repeatedly thanking the tipper.

Her popularity soared instantly.

Satisfied with the result, James sent a message to the head of Thousand Shadows Group.

The next morning, after breakfast, James accompanied Samantha to buy some household items. As soon as they returned home, his phone started buzzing.

He answered it, and Bruce's excited voice came through, "James, it's Coralie's birthday today. I signed several big deals, and we moved into a new house. Three surprises!"

"Congratulations." James chuckled.

"Come to Swan Villa tonight to celebrate."

"Is it the one—" James was a bit surprised.

"Yes, it's right across from Leo Villa. Let's have a good time together."
