Chapter 253 Ordinary Person or King?

"Useless!" Montgomery smacked Phoebe without mercy.

With a veil and a longsword, her eyes sparked like lightning, radiating the vibe of a total badass.

She was even more arrogant than Phoebe.

James had never seen Montgomery before, but he could tell her background just from her sword skills.

Montgomery, like Leopold, was all about speed, precision, and ruthlessness. Whether it was a knife or a sword, you could see the same traits.

James squinted, thinking, 'Maximilian really deserves to be ranked tenth on the assassin list; none of his students are pushovers.'

But they shouldn't have come after me.

"Kill." At that moment, seeing Phoebe hurt by Montgomery and her gun on the ground, two of her buddies yelled.

They aimed their guns at Montgomery.

But before they could shoot, Montgomery raised her left hand, and two short swords flew out.

They were fast and deadly.

Startled, they tried to dodge but were a split second too slow. Feeling sharp pain in their shoulders, they got hit by the swords and fell, their guns dropping.

They flipped over, raised their left hands, and threw two knives.

Montgomery flicked her right hand, knocking the knives away, then swept her left foot, knocking them down.

Blood spurted from their mouths and noses.

"Bastard!" Seeing her two buddies hurt by Montgomery, the barely escaping Phoebe was filled with rage, "I'll kill you."

She then pulled out another knife and charged.

"Childish." Montgomery's lips curled into a cold smile.

She stomped the ground hard, turning the grass into scattered debris.

In the next second, she shot out like a bullet.

Montgomery slashed her sword right onto the knife, breaking it in two.

The sword's momentum didn't stop, slashing towards Phoebe's chest.

Phoebe's face changed dramatically, and she retreated hastily.

But she was still a split second too slow. With a sharp sound, a bloody gash appeared on Phoebe's chest.

Blood gushed out, a horrifying sight.

Just a bit deeper, and she would have been disemboweled.

"Useless." Montgomery sneered and kicked Phoebe hard.

She was so fast and ruthless that Phoebe had no time to react, only able to cross her arms in front of her chest.

Hit by Montgomery, Phoebe felt her arms were about to break, as she crashed and slid several feet before stopping.

Samuel watched, his blood boiling, dreaming of being able to do the same one day.

Phoebe got up, spat out a mouthful of blood, her chest heaving painfully.

Two buddies, enduring their pain, rushed forward, only to be stabbed by Montgomery's swords, falling to the ground, spitting blood.

Sadie, feeling vindicated, shouted with fervor, "Kill!"

"Go ahead!" Phoebe, furious and humiliated, shouted to the dozen buddies she had brought.

A dozen people brandished their knives and charged at Montgomery.

"You're all useless!" Montgomery sneered, her body leaping out swiftly.

Her longsword danced wildly.

Fast and ruthless.

The dozen people charging at her instantly felt pain in their wrists, their weapons falling to the ground.

Their faces showed disbelief as they clutched their wrists and retreated.

In the next moment, before they could cry out, Montgomery swung her sword again.

A flurry of sword light.

The dozen people screamed and fell, their chests pierced, gravely injured on the ground.

"James, run!" Seeing how formidable Montgomery was, Phoebe, eyes filled with despair, shouted to James before charging at Montgomery again.

"None of you will escape today." Montgomery kicked Phoebe, sending her flying.

Phoebe crashed heavily to the ground, her chest in severe pain, the wound deepening, leaving her unable to fight.

Seeing Phoebe bleeding, her two buddies' faces also showed despair.

It was over.

"Why aren't you leaving?" Phoebe wiped the blood from her mouth, turned to James, and snapped, "Do you want to die?"

"Last time, Francis stole the show." James looked at Montgomery and smiled faintly, "This time, it's my turn."

"Are you out of your mind? None of us could stop her, and you think you can? She could scare you to death with one sword." Seeing James about to confront Montgomery, Phoebe was anxious and angry, looking at James like he was a fool.

Could Montgomery be dealt with by a mere doctor?

"I'll poke eighteen holes in you, believe it or not."

Montgomery looked at James, her sword turning, containing ninety percent of her strength.

Phoebe and her companions felt an unprecedented sense of oppression.

"I don't believe it!" James smiled nonchalantly, picking up a knife from the ground.

"What are you doing?" Phoebe shouted anxiously, "If you die, everything we've done will be meaningless."

Her two companions also looked tense, "James, this is no joke, you will die."

James didn't respond, nor did he turn to flee. He just walked over from the messy ground.

"You can't see your own limits." Phoebe couldn't bear to watch anymore; James was too unaware of his own abilities.

Everyone else also believed James was doomed.

"Two strikes." James said calmly, "It'll take at most two strikes to kill you."

Phoebe and her companions laughed in anger, thinking James was ridiculously pretentious.

A mere ordinary person, daring to act like a king?

Montgomery's face turned cold, her longsword poised, "If you want to die, I'll grant you that wish."

Before she finished speaking, James's body suddenly sprang, turning into a blur.

It was too fast.

Phoebe and her companions were shocked.

Montgomery's heart also pounded, her contempt freezing in an instant.

James's speed was astonishing.

So fast that it was shorter than the pause in ordinary people's vision, creating the illusion of sudden disappearance.

In Montgomery's sight, James's body vanished from its original spot.

Almost simultaneously, James's figure appeared within her closest visual range.

Sadie instinctively shouted, "Watch out!"

A huge sense of fear gripped her heart.

Montgomery had no time to dodge and wasn't as fast as James.

Almost instinctively, relying on her keen sense of danger, Montgomery swung her longsword to block James.

It was like a gust of wind, not loud but exceptionally crisp and clear.

James's long knife struck Montgomery's sword.

A kill within ten steps!

Montgomery's body was like being hit by a train, her feet dragging five or six feet on the ground.

Montgomery crashed into an artificial hill, her back in severe pain, and spat out a mouthful of blood.

Before she could recover, she heard rapid footsteps, and James descended from above.

"Kill!" Montgomery, unwilling to be outdone, shouted, swinging her longsword to meet the attack.

They saw the determination in each other's eyes, and at that moment, they met head-on!

With a loud bang, Montgomery's face changed dramatically, feeling a mountain pressing down.

The weight was so overwhelming it brought a sense of despair.

Montgomery wanted to retreat but couldn't move her feet, she wanted to block but couldn't stop the fierce momentum.

The knife whistled down.

Crushing everything in its path!

The longsword shattered.

The knife's edge continued downward.

Montgomery's blood spurted, her body severed!

James not only broke her sword but also split her body in two, an indescribable display of power.

Phoebe and her companions screamed, then fell silent.

What kind of strike was that?

Watching this scene, the entire courtyard fell silent, only the wind blowing through, carrying a chilling whistle.

"Phoebe, clean up." James tossed the long knife aside, not even glancing at the body, and walked away.
