Chapter 469

After taking out Atticus, James rescued Ruby and the others, immediately tending to their injuries.

He didn't give a damn about Terrence's anger. He had already wiped out over a hundred Law Enforcement members, leaving no room for reconciliation.

As for how the Mystic Alliance's Elder Council would judge him later, or what Lancelot's stance would be, James didn't waste a second worrying about it.

Once the treatment was done, James deployed The Bennett's top fighters to guard Glowing Oasis Mystic Alliance and entrusted Kaida with protecting Milo and Mia.

Then, James made another move.

He had Ollie send Dax back to the Great Mountains, partly to avoid retribution if they lost the battle, and partly to have Dax set up a base there.

Next, James arranged for The Smith Family to fly back to Stardust City overnight. Virgil, Michelle, and Samantha would stay temporarily with the Lee family, while Clifford would travel the world to gain experience.

Mary and the others initially refused to leave, wanting to face the final battle with James, but he insisted they follow his plan.

Without any worries, James could fight freely.

In the end, Virgil and the others reluctantly left.

As for Francis, James made no arrangements for him. He knew that no matter what he planned, Francis wouldn't leave his side.

"What a beautiful night."

After sending his parents away, James sat in the gazebo at Leo Villa, leisurely sipping a pot of coffee, enjoying the calm before the storm.

"A beautiful night like this, how could it be without a lovely companion?" A sweet voice sounded.

The next moment, a soft and fragrant body hugged James from behind.

James turned his head to see a stunning face, smiling charmingly with a hint of affection. Her luscious rosy lips exuded a deadly allure.

"What are you doing here?" Feeling Olivia's warm breath, James chuckled softly, "A storm is coming. It's best not to wander around."

"You're facing a life-and-death battle tomorrow. It would be heartless of me not to see you."

Olivia gently hugged James, rubbing her cheek against his ear. "Don't forget, you're my kept man."

Tonight, Olivia wore a Floral Elegance silk dress, with a fair and translucent makeup, and a serene updo, looking like an angel descended to earth.

James joked, "What, worried I'll lose tomorrow and die on Maple Hill, so you're here for one last look?"

Perhaps because of the uncertain fate awaiting him, James didn't avoid Olivia tonight, closing his eyes to enjoy her tenderness.

"Don't talk about dying." Olivia covered his mouth with her hand, her eyes filled with a touch of sorrow, "You will win tomorrow."

"You must win. If you die, I'll die with you." She bit James' shoulder in frustration. "For my sake, you must survive. You must take responsibility for my life."

James winced slightly, pinching Olivia's cheek. "Are you a dog? Biting so hard."

"I'm leaving a mark to remind you tomorrow that you must defeat Dane." Olivia moved in front of James, pouting, "Or I'll follow you in death."

James felt a warmth in his heart. He knew Olivia loved him.

He gently stroked Olivia's cheek. "Don't worry, I'll survive."

After some playful banter, Olivia's tone shifted, "You killed Atticus, and Terrence is furious. Half an hour ago, he gathered a group of experts, planning to fly to Glowing Oasis tomorrow to watch the battle."

"Tomorrow, if you die at Dane's hands, he'll grind your bones to dust and eliminate Milo and the others."

"If you somehow survive Dane, they'll surround and kill you on the spot."

"In short, Terrence is hell-bent on seeing you dead on Maple Hill. I'm here to remind you to watch out for his schemes."

She shared the intel she had with James, then took a sip from his cup, her moist red lips even more enticing.

"I've already put Terrence on my hit list." James smirked, "He and I, like Dane, one of us has to go. I won't fall for his tricks."

"Besides Terrence's group from the Mystic Alliance, there will also be two observation teams from Celestia and Lumaria, about twenty people in total, " Olivia continued.

"Celestia's team is led by Tessa Hawthorne, representing the five major families. Lumaria's team is led by Orval Montes."

"They're there to observe and act as witnesses," she added. "With so many people present, Dane won't play dirty."

"He thinks he has the upper hand and can crush me easily, so he won't resort to underhanded tactics." James smiled, then asked, "Who are Tessa and Orval?"

"Orval is an elder of Lumaria Mystic Alliance, fifty years old, highly respected, but his skills are average, at the peak of the Mid Level."

Olivia explained, "Tessa is the vice president of Celestia's Martial Arts Association, often dealing with the Mystic Alliance and hidden factions."

"She doesn't have much power, but her connections are extensive. She frequently interacts with the five major families, so she's also a socialite in Stardust City."

"Oh, and you've dealt with her cousin before." She remembered something, "Leila."

"Leila?" James was slightly surprised, recalling Keith's companion, Leila.

He took a sip of coffee. "So, she's Leila's cousin. Tomorrow's battle will be very interesting."

Given his fallout with Keith, Tessa would surely be hostile towards him.

"If you win tomorrow, I might consider becoming your mistress." Olivia smiled at James, "I'll let Mary be the main wife, and I won't compete with her, so you won't be torn."

James nearly spat out his coffee. "What are you talking about?"

"Nothing, I just don't want to lose you." Olivia's face showed a hint of sadness as she hugged James' neck, snuggling into his arms.

"You'll never know how much you mean to me."

James looked apologetic. "I'm sorry."

He knew Olivia's feelings for him, and he wanted to be with her and repay her kindness and devotion.

But Mary's image was etched in his heart, preventing him from fully committing to Olivia.

And James knew that even if he could be ruthless to leave Olivia, she wouldn't give up and might even do something drastic.

She shood her head slightly. "There's no need for apologies between us. I've never blamed you."

"You don't need to be responsible for me or feel guilty. I just hope you won't push me away and let me have a place in your heart."

Olivia was straightforward and sincere, giving James no chance to escape. "Just being able to see you from time to time makes me happy."

James smiled wryly, "Thank you."

"James, tomorrow's battle, though I hope you win, neither of us can predict the outcome."

Olivia's eyes narrowed slightly as she climbed onto James' lap, wrapping her arms around his neck, her face full of allure, her breath fragrant as she spoke:

"Take me tonight."

James looked at Olivia's fiery red lips, his heart tightening, but he forced himself to suppress the flame within.

He chuckled softly, "A reward?"

"No." Olivia's voice was gentle. "I want to have your child."
