Chapter 409 Kill First, Drink Later

Two hours later, at Leo Villa.

After treating Samantha's injuries, James let her rest in the guest room and then joined Clifford and the others for dinner in the main hall.

Clifford had cooked up a feast today: a whole chicken stew, a seafood platter, and a large plate of scrambled eggs.

The delicious food lifted James's spirits considerably.

Dax set up a small round table and brought over half a dozen chilled beers.

The four of them started eating and drinking in the hall.

James had barely taken a few bites when several cars pulled up outside, their headlights glaring in the night.

As Francis glanced outside, Ollie stepped out of one of the cars and strode into the hall. "I've cleaned up the mess, and that woman spilled everything."

"Her name's Rowan Blair, one of Aurelia's top hitmen, skilled with firearms, especially sniping. She's a formidable presence."

"And there's another one named Delilah Roberts, a knife expert, descended from some military officer."

"They're Aurelia's trump cards, the reason she remains untouchable and highly valued at Glowing Oasis."

"You embarrassed Aurelia at the café, so she sent Rowan to snipe you. Too bad she underestimated you."

"By the way, Rowan and Delilah are indeed from the Blood Medical Sect. Their mission is to protect Aurelia and eliminate anyone she dislikes."

Ollie, knowing his place, didn't sit down to eat with Francis and the others. Instead, he squatted next to James to report.

James pulled over a chair for Ollie. "You haven't eaten yet, right? Grab some utensils and join us."

Ollie had clearly gone all out, handling the aftermath and extracting information from Rowan in such a short time.

"Thanks, James." Ollie was thrilled and dashed to the kitchen to get some utensils, then joined them at the table, looking as excited as a school kid receiving praise.

James processed the information. "If the Blood Medical Sect sent two of their people to work for Aurelia, does that mean Aurelia is part of them?"

"I don't know. Rowan is just a killing machine. She's killed many for Aurelia, but she doesn't know Aurelia's background."

Ollie, munching on a scrambled egg, said righteously, "But I bet she's not a good person."

"Just look at how Aurelia uses the Wolf Business Association and Lumaria connections, leveraging The Gonzalez Family to sell good stuff cheaply to Lumaria people."

"That shows she considers herself one of them."

Ollie added, "The Wolf Business Association is low-key, and with The Gonzalez Family's protection, she hasn't faced public outrage."

James nodded slightly and asked, "Do you know what the Blood Medical Sect does?"

"Like you, I was curious, so I asked Rowan." Ollie chuckled, "She said it's similar to our medical association, focusing on clinical treatment and medical research. It's a century-old organization in Lumaria."

"But I don't buy it. A medical association with killing machines? Laughable."

"I wanted to report to you first, and since Rowan needed urgent treatment, I didn't dig deeper."

Ollie shared what he knew with James. "I'll interrogate her thoroughly when I get back."

James didn't believe the Blood Medical Sect was harmless. Besides Rowan and her ilk, the previous encounter with the sinister ghost left a creepy impression.

James was about to speak when the sound of roaring engines erupted outside. A loud crash followed as the iron gate was smashed open, and dozens of vans swarmed in.

James activated the hall's surveillance screen, revealing hundreds of burly men in black pouring out of the vans, each wielding an axe.

Their clothes bore a wolf head emblem.

They surrounded Leo Villa with fierce determination.

Then, a tall man carrying a wolf-tooth club stepped forward and shouted, "James, I'm Black Wolf from the Wolf Club!"

"You've taken our people. I'll give you three minutes to release them and apologize."

"Otherwise, I'll flatten this villa tonight and tear you to pieces."

Under the lights, Black Wolf radiated intense murderous intent, ready to attack at any moment. "Start the countdown."

A henchman immediately retrieved an hourglass from a car and placed it on the villa's steps.

The sand began to fall.

The tension was palpable.

Ollie's eyelid twitched. "James, this is bad. The Wolf Club is here."

James smiled faintly. "Rowan must be very important to Aurelia."

They had come to Gerald's villa without hesitation, mobilizing over three hundred elite members of the Wolf Club, showing Aurelia's determination to get Rowan back.

"James, you should hide for now." Ollie looked serious. "I'll call for reinforcements from the Glowing Oasis Mystic Alliance."

In terms of fighting and numbers, Ollie wasn't afraid. But with the sudden attack, summoning help would take time.

"No need for reinforcements. Just relax and enjoy your meal."

James waved for Ollie to sit down and went to the kitchen to bring out the chicken soup, serving everyone a small bowl.

Clifford, Francis, and Dax remained calm, eating and drinking as usual.

Dax grabbed a chicken leg and started gnawing on it, his strong teeth tearing into the meat, juices splattering.

Ollie was slightly stunned. "James, there are hundreds of them out there."

"I know you're strong, but if they all rush in, someone might get hurt."

Ollie believed James could handle the entire Wolf Club alone, even against dozens of attackers. But with hundreds, the risk of stray bullets or arrows increased.

Even TV heroes often faced danger from overwhelming numbers.

"Relax, it's really nothing." James nodded towards Dax. "Dax, finish your soup and go take care of them."

Dax pushed his chair back and headed for the door.

James called out, "Finish your soup first."

"No rush, I'll drink it after." Dax, still chewing on half a chicken leg, strolled out.

So confident? Could he really handle it? Ollie looked skeptical. "James, there are hundreds of them. Can he manage alone?"

Even if Dax was a great fighter, taking on hundreds would take forever.

James patted Ollie's shoulder. "Eat your meal. The fight will be over soon."

He casually turned off the surveillance.

Ollie was about to speak when the sound of screams erupted outside, one after another, like a competition.

The last scream was particularly piercing, clearly Black Wolf's.

But his scream lasted only three seconds before abruptly stopping.

Moments later, the villa returned to complete silence, as if nothing had happened.

James, Clifford, and the others continued eating calmly, occasionally discussing tomorrow's menu.

Soon, Dax returned, chewing on a chicken bone.

He sat down, spat out the bone, and started drinking his soup.

"All done? Are you kidding? Even killing hundreds of chickens wouldn't be this fast," Ollie couldn't hold back and shouted, then ran outside to see for himself.

As soon as he stepped out, he was stunned.

In front of him was a sea of corpses.
