Chapter 80 No One Asked You to Leave

At half past five in the afternoon, the entrance of TG Company was bustling with traffic.

Though it was nearing dusk, the entire Rosewood City was still sweltering.

Ninety-eight feet away from the company, under the cool shade of a large tree, James sat astride his motorcycle. He hummed a tune, enjoying his ice cream, seemingly oblivious to the world around him.

Occasionally, he glanced at the time and the traffic lights.

He took large bites of the ice cream, each bite significantly reducing its size, showcasing his excellent teeth.

At five-forty-five, a black Mercedes appeared in James's line of sight.

James squinted and saw that it was indeed Joseph's car.

Inside the car, beside the driver, sat Joseph, his sister, and Mary.

James's eyes turned cold. He finished the remaining ice cream in one bite and flicked the wrapper into a trash can.

Then, he picked up a black plastic bag from beside his foot. The bag contained a black box, but its contents were unclear.

James hung the plastic bag on the front of the motorcycle and put on the red helmet he had bought yesterday.

At this moment, the Mercedes was making a left turn, preparing to enter TG Company.

"Ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five..." James counted down unhurriedly. When he reached zero, the red light turned green.

The Mercedes had almost completed its turn.

Almost simultaneously, James revved the engine, and the second-hand motorcycle shot forward with a whoosh.

In the next second, he crashed into the rear of the Mercedes with a bang.

The Mercedes instantly had a dent, and the trunk popped open, revealing several boxes of miscellaneous items.

The motorcycle that collided with the Mercedes was also airborne; its headlight shattered, and the bumper broken.

The black plastic bag hanging on it cracked open, spilling a heap of porcelain shards.

The scene was a mess.

But James was unscathed. When the motorcycle hit the Mercedes, he leaped from the seat and landed on the right side of the car.

He patted his chest, feigning a frightened look.

"You idiot, how on earth do you drive?" Emily was the first to storm out, pointing at James's nose and cursing. "I can't believe you just crashed into the car! There was ample distance between us."

Joseph and Mary also got out of the car.

"James?" When James took off his helmet, Mary was startled. "What are you doing here?"

James shot a glance at Mary." If I weren't here, I wouldn't have to see you two being so intimate."

"You're overthinking it," Mary blushed and explained, "We were meeting a client."

"Meeting a client?" James retorted bluntly. "You know very well why he's doing this."

Mary was taken aback. Joseph, a young master worth tens of millions of dollars, spent his days not working but introducing clients to her. She naturally understood why.

But being reprimanded by her own husband in person, she felt embarrassed. She retorted in a delicate voice. "James, what do you mean by that!"

"Nothing." James took a deep breath to calm himself. "Just a reminder, if you want to cheat, let's get a divorce first."

Mary was livid. "You."

"So it's you, the freeloader," Emily recognized James. "I was wondering how you could crash on such a wide road. It turns out you're just jealous."

Emily said, "But what right do you have to be jealous?" She sneered. "Let me tell you, we all know that your last show of grandeur was a sham. To please Mary and to save face, you borrowed cars and diamonds. Pretending to be rich is meaningless. Don't you know borrowed things have to be returned?"

She scolded James harshly, "You're a useless coward, unworthy of being jealous of Joseph."

"Emily!" Mary shook her head. "Don't talk to James like that."

"Joseph, I'll pay for this accident." She turned slightly towards James. "You should go home first. I'll handle the car damage."

She had initially wanted to scold James for his clumsiness in crashing into someone else's car, but seeing his sullen face, she refrained from further provocation.

Moreover, Mary felt guilty about the JZL Medical Hall incident. Last night, in a moment of impulse, she had used her connections to shut down James's JZL Medical Hall, but upon investigation today, she found out that the owner was Bradley and had nothing to do with James.

Mary immediately realized that James had claimed the JZL Medical Hall out of pride and anger.

In reality, James was likely just an apprentice.

This was probably why Harold and the others had yet to receive feedback. They couldn't shut down a medical hall that didn't belong to James, who had no medical qualifications.

While she blamed James for lying, she also felt guilty for her rash actions. So, looking at James, she added, "Be more careful when riding next time."

"Forget it. It's a minor issue. Insurance can cover it," Joseph said, looking at Mary with gentle eyes. "Besides, if I were to ask for compensation, it wouldn't be from you, Mary."

"You can go now. Be more careful next time. This crash will cost a few thousand dollars," he taunted James. "It's only because Mary pleaded for you; otherwise, you'd have to sell your blood and body to repay."

Emily, though unwilling, knew her brother was trying to please Mary. She kicked the black box disdainfully and sneered. "Relying on a woman to settle things, what a loser."

After saying this, the three of them prepared to leave, letting the driver contact the insurance company for an assessment. James spoke calmly, "No one asked you to leave."

Mary turned, frowning. "James, I'm helping you settle this. What more do you want?"

Joseph glared. "You're really ungrateful."

James coldly replied, "You crashed into me. You didn't pay, didn't apologize, and just wanted to walk away like this. Who do you think you are?"

"This is getting ridiculous," Mary said angrily. "If you keep being unreasonable, I won't help you anymore."

James could apologize and compensate if he wanted to. Mary didn't want to be involved anymore.

Joseph gave a cold laugh. "Are you going to apologize? Are you going to pay compensation? Do you really have tens of thousands of dollars? In the end, it'll still be Mary's money."

Emily eagerly pulled out her phone. "I'm calling the police right now," she declared.

"Mr. Garcia, have you ever studied traffic rules?" James remained unruffled. "When turning, you must yield to straight traffic. You were turning, I was going straight, you blocked my way, and we collided. You're fully responsible."

"You must compensate me for all my losses." His words were shocking.

"We're fully responsible? You clearly crashed into our car, and you want us to be fully responsible?" Emily was nearly furious. "Do you think we're idiots?"

Mary stared intently at James. "Is this fun for you? Didn't I tell you we were meeting a client? What are you up to?"

Mary thought James was jealous and desperately trying to maintain his dignity, thus distorting the facts.

This could make a laughingstock out of them in front of the police.

"James," she said, her pretty face growing stern. "I'm asking you one last time. Are you leaving or not? If you don't leave now, I'll wash my hands of this matter and let the police handle you officially."
