Chapter 348 How Will You Kill Me?

James didn't give these guys a chance to react. His left foot shot out repeatedly.

The knees of the five burly men closest to him buckled in pain, and they dropped to the ground.

Taking advantage of the chaos, James grabbed Mad Dog and swung him around, forcing the others to back off. Then, with a quick leap, he was suddenly standing next to Ollie.

Ollie sensed danger the moment James moved.

Instinctively, he tried to get up and back away.

But before he could fully rise, James was already beside him.

The barrel of a gun was pressed against Ollie's forehead.

Ollie's face turned grim. He was stuck in an awkward half-standing position, unable to sit or walk away. His female companions scattered in panic.

James smiled calmly. "Mr. Green, you haven't paid the ten million dollars yet, and you're already trying to leave?"

Ollie's body stiffened instantly, his defiance fading.

James looked down on all the opponents closing in, his voice devoid of emotion. "Everyone back off, or Ollie dies."

The female companions were stunned by the scene.

They never expected James to be so formidable and ruthless.

James held the crowd at bay with ease. Despite the countless knives and guns pointed at him, no one dared to charge.

Mad Dog's bleeding forehead and the two slaps he had received made everyone believe James would kill Ollie without hesitation.

More than twenty people stared at James like a pack of wolves ready to pounce. "Let Mr. Green go, let him go now."

"You have one minute. If you don't release Mr. Green, we'll kill you."

James ignored them. Instead, he pressed the gun harder against Ollie's head. "Back off."

The twenty-plus men, though frustrated, had to admire James's courage and retreated six feet.

Ollie sat back down, his face grim with anger.

"Let me tell you something. I don't care who you are. If you have the guts, kill me now. Otherwise, I'll kill your entire family tomorrow."

Ollie exhaled a puff of smoke. "I, Ollie, always keep my word."

James sneered and then yanked Ollie's head, slamming it hard against the marble table.

The table cracked.

The female companions turned pale, retreating in fear, their disdain for James vanishing instantly.

Mad Dog and his crew were furious, wanting to step forward but being held back by Francis.

Ollie's head was bleeding, and he nearly passed out.

He clutched his wound, seething with rage. "You bastard, do you know the consequences of smashing my head?"

James pressed down again, making Ollie collide with the table once more, eliciting another scream.

Mad Dog and his crew were terrified.

The female companions covered their mouths tightly, stifling their screams.

When they looked at James again, their eyes were filled with confusion, anger, and panic, but no longer with mockery.

James spoke calmly, "Ollie, how are you going to kill me now?"

"Kid, if you mess with us, how do you plan to escape?" Ollie struggled to speak. "We have dozens of people. Can you kill your way out? Can you escape with Ruby?"

Without needing his orders, Mad Dog was already on his phone, calling for backup.

"In ten minutes, we can have a hundred, a thousand people here."

Ollie, realizing he was on his home turf at Glowing Oasis, felt more confident. "What do you have to fight me with?"

"With you in my hands, getting out is a piece of cake."

James scanned the crowd calmly.

"Besides, my life's not worth much. But you? You're the heir to the Green family. Dying together sounds like a pretty good deal to me."

If it weren't for Ruby and Nathaniel's safety, James would have already gone on a rampage with Francis and Mia.

Wiping the blood from his face, Ollie coughed, still glaring at James with stubborn hatred.

"Life's not worth much, huh?"

"Kid, if something happens to me today, do you think your death will settle things?"

"Let me tell you, we'll find your parents, your friends, even your dog, and kill them all."

Ollie glanced at the unconscious Ruby. "That bitch will pay too."

"Plenty of people want to kill me. One more doesn't matter." James was fearless. "But you should be thinking about how to stay alive."

He grabbed Ollie's cigar and pressed it against his cheek.

Ollie's cheek instantly burned, and he swallowed all his harsh words.

The female companions stomped their feet, feeling that James was too arrogant and reckless, and it made them very uncomfortable.

How could a few nobodies challenge Ollie?

What right did they have to treat Ollie like this?

Glory, like beauty, belonged to the wealthy. For the poor to touch it was blasphemy.

"Kid, treating Mr. Green like this, I swear I'll skin you alive."

Seeing Ollie's miserable state, Mad Dog couldn't hold back his anger. "I, Mad Dog, will hunt you down."

The crowd was in an uproar.

James didn't waste words. He grabbed a dining knife and cut off one of Ollie's fingers.

Ollie let out a piercing scream.

James looked at Mad Dog with a smile. "What did you just say? I didn't hear you."

Mad Dog was furious. "Kid, I'll kill you. How dare you hurt Mr. Green..."

James cut off Ollie's middle finger with another slash.

"I still didn't hear you. Want to say it again?"

Seeing the two bloody fingers and Ollie's pale, pained face, Mad Dog and his crew's anger instantly cooled.

At that moment, they fully understood that this outsider was a tough character.

"Not talking? If you don't speak, it's my turn."

James looked at Ollie, who was clutching his severed fingers, and smiled. "Mr. Green, can you answer me now? Who's in charge here?"

Feeling the pain of his severed fingers, Ollie finally gave in, squeezing out a reluctant "I admit defeat."

Ollie didn't want to give in, but seeing the look in James's eyes, he changed his mind.

Despite having the advantage in numbers and firepower, it couldn't mask the deep, deadly intent in James's eyes.

In that moment, Ollie felt a shiver from the depths of his soul, a shiver that came from being completely overpowered by a stronger force.

James would really kill him.

In that instant, Ollie had an epiphany. He gave up struggling, not wanting to die pointlessly at James's hands.

Ollie wasn't stupid. Trading his life for James's death in a hail of bullets might be heroic, but it wasn't worth it.

His precious life wasn't something a few outsiders could compare to. He still had to compete with Soren for the family head position.

So, realizing James would kill him, Ollie decided to temporarily concede.

But James wasn't done. He slapped Ollie twice.

"Louder. Who's in charge now?"

Ollie's face was swollen, but he didn't dare resist. "You are."
