Chapter 35

"Taylor Clark, what's going on? Do you know James?" Seeing Taylor's aggressive stance towards James, Olivia was astonished. "You're calling him a swindler. Is there some misunderstanding?"

Raymond gestured for the bodyguards to stand down, saying, "Taylor, Olivia brought him here; how could he be a swindler? Don't talk nonsense."

"He is a swindler." Taylor glared at James furiously. "Last night, he almost killed Grandpa."

The family members all looked skeptical, clearly thinking James was too young to be a doctor.

Taylor rapidly recounted the events of the previous night, then stared at James with gritted teeth and scolded, "If I hadn't stopped him from inserting the needles in time, Grandpa might have been in trouble."

She looked at him with disdain and said, "It appears you're quite desperate for a million dollars."

James spoke calmly, "My acupuncture last night was to save a life. Without those eight needles, Mr. Clark might have died from poisoned blood."

Taylor's pretty face darkened. "How dare you curse my grandpa?"

"Do you dare to admit in front of everyone that you have no medical experience and no medical license?"

She was full of hostility towards James, still frightened by the thought of Raymond nearly dying because of him the night before.

"Taylor, James doesn't have a medical license, and he's not a doctor. I also don't know the whole story about last night." Olivia unhesitatingly stepped forward. "But I can guarantee that his medical skills are absolutely top-notch."

"Sophia was on the brink of death twice, and it was James who miraculously brought her back."

"As for a million dollars, James really doesn't need it. If he wants, I can give him a hundred million dollars or even a billion dollars at any time."

She supported James unconditionally.

Taylor snorted, "That just means you've been deceived, Olivia."

"Taylor, how can you speak like that? Olivia is just looking out for me," Raymond glared at Taylor and said, "Besides, I'm just an old man waiting for death."

"James, I apologize; this is my granddaughter, Taylor."

"She's young and impulsive; please be understanding."

Raymond was always approachable.

Taylor, unable to calm her anger, was convinced James was a swindler, but seeing the attitudes of her grandfather and Olivia, she had to suppress her anger.

James didn't waste words. He said, "I can cure your illness."

Taylor scoffed, "Can you?"

"Regarding your condition, it's less of an illness and more akin to a source of poison residing within your body." James's gaze became sharp. "As long as the source of the poison is eradicated, Mr. Clark will be safe."

Raymond was taken aback and said, "A source of poison? But the hospital tests last night didn't find any toxins in my body."

James answered directly, "They didn't find any toxins because I expelled them last night, but the source is hidden."

"If the toxins were expelled, doesn't that mean it was resolved?"

Taylor pressed on and said, "How can you say my grandfather is still poisoned?"

James patiently explained, "Last night's toxins were expelled, but the source remained. Overnight, the source secreted toxins again."

Taylor said, "Nonsense!"

"My grandfather's condition is indeed not good, and we are looking for doctors everywhere, but we're not mindless."

Taylor angrily interrupted James, "Are you saying my grandfather's body is producing poison on its own?"

At the same time, she blamed Olivia for the mess.

How could she let someone without medical qualifications treat Raymond?

She was insane.

James rubbed his head and said, "There really is a source of poison in Raymond's body."

"Is that so? If there really is a source of poison, why can't the equipment detect it? And why haven't we been poisoned?" Taylor's eyebrows furrowed. "Stop the cap. Sorry, you can deceive Olivia, but not me."

Olivia smiled helplessly. "Taylor, James really isn't a swindler."

"Olivia, I won't blame you because you're also looking out for my grandfather!" Taylor interrupted Olivia, "But a swindler is a swindler, and I won't show any kindness."

"You're not welcomed here; please leave!"

Her tone was harsh, and she even pushed James, saying, "Get out, swindler."

James held her hand, the Life Gem spun, and he instantly understood Taylor's condition.

James released Taylor's hand, then took Olivia and left, saying, "Let's go."

"But before we leave, I'll say one more thing, Mr. Clark wouldn't survive a month."

"He has at most seven days, which I fought for by resolving the issue last night."

"And to live those seven days, he must constantly eat cold foods, or else he will be in trouble within three days."

Out of goodwill and considering his old friendship with Olivia, James reminded the Clark family.

"Seven days?" Taylor was shocked, then furious. "You're cursing my grandpa to die, you bastard, you're malicious."

"Get out, you're nothing but a charlatan; I don't believe a word you say."

Taylor took James's warning as the irritation of being exposed.

Just then, another round of car engines was heard outside, and a minivan stopped at the door.

The door opened, and several young figures emerged, carrying equipment and a medicine box.

Then, an elderly man with white hair emerged, exuding an aura of wisdom and vitality.

James looked closely and was slightly surprised.

The white-haired old man was none other than Rosewood City's first miracle doctor, Mark Anderson.

"Mr. Anderson, you've finally come back from the capital," Taylor greeted him with her family, "You've come just in time. Otherwise, I would have been fooled by the charlatan."

"Swindler, let me tell you, this is Mark Anderson, a true miracle doctor."

"As for you, you're just a nobody. How dare you say you can treat my grandpa?"

"Aren't you going to leave?"

She glared at James beside her.

"James?" Mark looked in the direction of the voice, first startled, then overjoyed. "Are you here too?"

He went straight through Taylor and the others, came up to James, and took his hand, almost dancing with excitement.

He said, "Your acupuncture skills are truly amazing!" Mark admired James and decided to recruit him at any cost.

James was surprised by Mark's recognition but responded graciously with a smile, "Thank you for the compliment."

Mark was excited and said, "James, could you help me with some questions later? I have numerous questions about acupuncture."

"Please teach me, impart me with your knowledge!" Mark was extremely respectful towards James.

Seeing this scene, Taylor was instantly dumbfounded.
