Chapter 182 What Can You Do to Vent Your Anger?
James was floored to see Sophie.
James was taken aback to see Sophie. He had hardly imagined that Kaitlyn, the woman from Stardust City who always spoke of multimillion-dollar deals, was connected to the Morris Antiques.
Sebastian was just as intrigued. He'd been to Morris Antiques countless times, but this was the first time he'd seen Sophie.
With her delicate features, dressed in black, and her hair elegantly tied up in a bun, she looked like a regal princess.
Cold, strong, dazzling, and arrogant, it was clear she was no ordinary person.
This made Sebastian scrutinize her with great interest.
At that moment, Ellie and her group stepped aside, respectfully calling out, "Ms. Garcia."
Sophie didn't respond and walked straight to the center with her entourage, coldly eyeing the troublemaking Sebastian.
Sebastian looked at Sophie and said with a smile, "Here to back Ellie up?"
"Yes," Sophie answered bluntly.
"Do you realize the consequences of meddling?" Sebastian asked with a cold smile.
Sophie looked at him with disdain. "I'll cut to the chase. You can't touch me, and neither can I touch you. You rely on your father, Aaron, and I have my own backers. The status of my young master surpasses your father's, if anything."
Her red lips curled in a taunting smirk, her words sharp and loaded with hidden meaning. She was completely unfazed by Sebastian's darkening face.
"Ms. Garcia?"
Sebastian restrained his emotions and looked at Sophie. "You're quite the looker, but you're a bit too confident.
"Care to share your identity and background so I can decide if you're worth bullying?"
He then unabashedly took out his phone, snapped a picture of Sophie, and sent it to the SH Corporation's intelligence department for information.
Sebastian snorted indifferently, "Sophie, Deputy Manager of Bright Horizon Foundation.
"With that background, you're not worth my time, nor are you worth supporting Ellie."
Sebastian brandished the shovel in his hand. "You're not even worth stopping me from flattening this antique shop."
Sophie scoffed, saying, "You country bumpkin, perhaps you've never heard of the Bright Horizon Foundation, but the Mountain Group must be familiar to you?
"Or maybe not, but at least you should have heard of the Four Young Masters of Stardust City, right?
"The Morris Antiques, the Bright Horizon Foundation, the Mountain Group, the Four Young Masters of Stardust City – all interconnected.
"Still clueless? Then maybe you should call your father and ask him about the Morris family of Stardust City."
Many onlookers changed their expressions upon hearing the name of the Morris family of Stardust City.
In this vast land, there were numerous powerful families and clans, and Rosewood City boasted six prominent families. However, only the top five were known nationwide.
Among them, the Morris family from Stardust City stood as one of the elite five.
While some might wield significant power within Rosewood City, their influence and capabilities dwindled outside its borders.
In fact, people in remote cities might not even be aware of figures like Aaron.
But the Morris family, as one of the top five, possessed not only vast resources but also the ability to influence officials in many regions.
Even in the tightly controlled Rosewood City, they still had influence.
So, when it became known that the Morris Antiques was connected to the Morris family, the general perception that Ellie was doomed began to shift.
Although Sebastian was powerful and could easily suppress Ellie, he would have to show some respect when facing the mighty Morris family.
James now understood where Ellie's confidence came from. It turned out she had the support of the Morris family, and he also realized why Scott couldn't get rid of this shop.
"Mr. Morris?" At this moment, Sebastian squinted his eyes and smiled at Sophie. "One of the Four Young Masters of Stardust City, Keith?"
Sophie said with a hint of pride on her pretty face, "I see you're not completely ignorant. Yes, the Morris Antiques is indeed one of Keith's businesses.
"Are you out of your mind to smash it or shut it down? Who gave you the guts to do this? Your father?"
Ellie also looked at Sebastian mockingly, clearly enjoying seeing the top bully squirm.
Sebastian said with a widening smile, "You make it sound like I'm a troublemaker who relies on my power to bully others. You used the lucky cat to scheme against the Collins family, and I can't seek justice?"
"I already said, I don't know anything about the lucky cat," Ellie cut in. "The whole thing was a misunderstanding on both our parts. We should each bear our own responsibility."
"So you really think that with Keith backing you, I won't dare touch you?" Sebastian shrugged. "Do you really think I earned the title of the top bully by buying it?"
"Of course, I know your capabilities, and I know you're a powerful person in Rosewood City. I also believe you can smash this antique shop anytime," Sophie snorted disdainfully. "But to have a conflict with Mr. Morris over a lucky cat, even to the point of no return, would be foolish."
Sebastian smiled meaningfully. "So you mean I should just accept the loss over the lucky cat?"
"You can smash the antique shop," Sophie said, confident Sebastian wouldn't be so stubborn. "If you can bear the consequences."
Sebastian smiled. "You're really getting on my nerves."
"If it bothers you, deal with it," Sophie sneered, her arrogance evident.
"I can't deal with it!" Sebastian pressed down with both hands. "Smash it."
His men started to riot again.
"Stop!"
This time, it wasn't Sophie or Ellie who stopped them, but James who stepped forward and blocked everyone.
"Mr. Collins, we live in a society governed by law. Violence and destruction are outdated, and smashing a shop in public is unacceptable," James said, patting Sebastian's shoulder and smiling. "It might feel good to smash it, but the compensation afterward will come out of your own pocket."
The Morris Antiques had a significant background, which meant Sebastian wouldn't gain any advantage. If he smashed it now, he might soon be pressured to compensate.
"It's you?"
Sophie and Ellie both gasped in unison, immediately recognizing James, the son-in-law who had moved into his wife's family home after marriage.
Ellie's eyes were filled with resentment and malice. The General Jade incident had made her a laughingstock, cost her dearly, and nearly led to her shop being shut down.
Sophie, on the other hand, looked down on and mocked James, thinking it was ridiculous and presumptuous for a man who relied on a woman to get involved in a confrontation between two powerful forces.
As for the Audi they saw at the airport that day, she had inquired with the vice president of BH Pharmaceuticals and found out it was David's car.
This meant James was showing off with someone else's car.
So, Sophie's opinion of James had shifted from seeing him as inept and useless to also viewing him as vain.
"Even if it costs me fourteen million dollars, I need to vent my frustrations today," he declared, fully aware that destroying the shop would be easy, but dealing with the aftermath, especially with the Morris family backing them, would be a hassle.
How he tore it down would determine how much he'd have to pay in the end.
But if he didn't smash it, Sebastian would feel stifled.
"Releasing your anger is certainly not a problem," James' smile became more meaningful. "But there's no need to smash the shop."
Sebastian was taken aback. "No need to smash the shop?"
James smiled faintly. "Exactly. We can still achieve our goals and make them cry without destroying the place."
Ellie scoffed at the idea, and the female staff in the shop mostly shared her skepticism, some sneering or exchanging amused glances.
She thought, 'Even Sebastian is hesitant, so what could James possibly do to stir up trouble?'
Sophie shook her wrist adorned with a Cartier watch, arrogantly looking down on James.
"You, who live off your wife's family after marriage, what do you have that could make you think you can vent your frustrations like this?"
