Chapter 304 Vomiting Blood

$1.4 billion contract? Bashful Flower production order? $700 million low-interest loan?

Each contract felt like a slap in the face for Jane and the others.

They looked at James in disbelief, unable to accept the sudden windfall.

Orders, products, funds—TG Company was set for rapid development.

Mary's mouth was slightly agape; she never expected James to help her.

Jane shouted, her expression terrifying,"No... no way these contracts are real! They must be fake, they must be fake! The Howard family hates Mary; they would never sign a contract with her!"

After a brief silence, Jane rushed over, grabbed a contract, and shouted, "You can't believe him! I... I know you! You're Mary's husband, you're a loser! How could you have the ability to sign these contracts?"

Jane pointed at James and yelled, "These contracts must be fake! Mary's supposed to be fired, she shouldn't be here!"

She had been scheming for so long and couldn't let any accidents ruin her plans.

"Yeah, these contracts must be fake. If Mary were that capable, she wouldn't be sucking up to clients every day... Miss Howard came to the company to scold her last time. How could they possibly sign a contract... Besides, if it were a contract, a few million dollars would be believable, but $1.4 billion... With these contracts, TG Company could leap to a second-tier company and be set for the next ten years... Not even Amanda Smith could pull this off... It must be these two faking it. They almost scared us. It's too despicable and childish... What are you all discussing? James married into his wife's family. How could a loser like him have a $1.4 billion contract..." A dozen Smith Corporation directors and shareholders reacted, chattering away, glaring more fiercely at James and Mary.

They felt these two were tricking them, wasting their time flying in from Stardust City for this meeting.

Mary's face turned cold.

Seeing Mary and James being accused, Jane became even more arrogant, she strode towards Mary, raised her hand and slapped her hard. "How dare you play tricks on us? Get out. TG Company doesn't need someone as dishonest as you."

Mary staggered back two steps, almost falling.

James's eyes turned cold, and he slapped Jane back.

Jane screamed, flying two feet and crashing into someone before stopping.

Jane looked unbelievable, "You dare hit me? Mary, you let your loser husband hit me?"

She clutched her cheek, furious, "Security, security, arrest him. Call the police, send him to jail!"

Several shareholders quickly called for security.

Mary grabbed James and whispered, "You gotta go. I'll handle this."

James shook her head and said, "No need to leave. I'll take control today."He stepped forward, glaring at Jane, "If you dare hit Mary, you better get ready for another hit of me."

James slapped Jane again, sending her flying.

Amid the uproar, James pulled out his phone and projected a video onto the big screen.

"Open your eyes and see if these contracts and loans are real," James snorted.

He had anticipated Jane's reaction, so he played videos from Sarah and others.

"I am Sarah, representing the Howard Group, signing a $1.4 billion contract with TG Company President Mary..."

"I am Kelsey, representing BH Pharmaceuticals, commissioning TG Company to produce Bashful Flower ointment for the South China region..."

"I am Patrick, and Hundred Flowers Bank will provide TG Company with a $700 million low-interest loan over the next ten years..."

One video after another played, with contract numbers visible, silencing the noisy room.

Several burly security guards tried to grab James but were unceremoniously pushed out by some shareholders.

At such a crucial moment, how could they allow any disruption?

James then distributed copies of the contracts for the Smith Corporation members to verify.

Ten minutes later, all directors and shareholders confirmed all the contracts were real. Their expressions changed once again.

They were utterly stunned, never expecting such benefits for TG Company.

Jane's anger turned to bewilderment as she shook her head at the contracts and videos, unwilling to believe it.

Despite her unwillingness, the legal counsel announced, "These three contracts are genuine and valid."

Mary's body trembled slightly, her eyes softening as she looked at James.

"Great, great, the company is saved... Not just saved, it's going to be rich... No need to worry about dividends for the next ten years. We'll be set for life... $1.4 billion, Bashful Flower production, $700 million loan, far surpassing Jane's $140 million contract... Mary truly is the most beautiful and intelligent woman in Rosewood City..." The Smiths cheered, shaking the entire conference room as if they had won the lottery.

"Celebration's supposed to be finished here! Time for the new vote now!" James placed the three contracts in front of Mary, leaning on the table and scanning the room. "I propose that Mary continues as TG Company President."

He waved his hand, "All in favor, raise your hands!"

Except for Jane, fifteen directors and shareholders raised their hands without hesitation.

These people were all Smith Clan's useless members. The Smith Clan didn't want to waste energy on them but couldn't abandon them, so they let Mary take care of them.

Their well-being depended on TG Company's development.

Without affecting their interests, they would support the Smith Clan in ousting Mary.

But given the current situation, they wouldn't play against her anymore.

Even if Mary were eventually fired, they would extract more resources from the Smith Clan.

"Thank you all for your trust," Mary stood tall, scanning the room. "I will continue to work hard."

Everyone applauded.

"You scumbags! You betrayed me! How can you do this?" Jane was furious, "You promised to choose me, you promised to choose me!"

"Jane, you're right. The capable should lead. Now that Mary is more capable, she should continue as president... Yeah, Jane, you're far behind Mary. Sign a $700 million deal, and we'll choose you immediately... Exactly, even if we favor you, $140 million compared to $1.4 billion is too meager. We can't ignore our conscience." Smith Corporation directors and shareholders scolded Jane, saying she was incompetent and immature.

Jane was so angry she spat out a mouthful of blood.
