Chapter 171 Conflict
"Kelsey is a distant relative of mine. We don't usually keep in touch, but when she asked for my help, I couldn't refuse."
"I saw she had potential, so I casually mentioned it to Ms. Green."
"As you can see, Kelsey is on a roll now. Ms. Green lets her handle everything, and she's about to gain significant influence."
"Don't worry, you all will have opportunities in the future."
Gary, full of confidence, showed off his capabilities to Kaitlyn and the others. Anyone who didn't know better might think he was the CEO of BH Pharmaceuticals.
James almost burst out laughing and quickly took a sip of soda to suppress it.
His initial dislike for Gary had lessened considerably, replaced by a sense of amusement at watching a fool perform. He couldn't believe someone could exaggerate so much.
"Gary, you're amazing."
Jenny and the others looked at Gary with girlish fantasies.
"Gary, if you get the chance, you have to help us out. Not much, just a $300,000 annual salary."
As she spoke, Jenny pressed herself tightly against Gary, as if trying to merge with him.
Plump, thighs, fragrant breeze, alluring, making Gary's mouth dry and tongue-tied.
But Gary's gaze was mostly on Kaitlyn.
Jenny knew what Gary was thinking and smiled at Kaitlyn.
"Kaitlyn, with Gary treating you like this, you have to drink this. Otherwise, it would be too disrespectful."
Susan and Fiona nodded in agreement. "Kaitlyn, just drink it. It's just a glass of wine."
Faced with everyone's urging, Kaitlyn felt her eyelids twitched uncontrollably. She finally gritted her teeth and reached for the glass with trembling fingers.
"Kaitlyn is about to get drunk. Stop forcing her to drink."
James let out a long breath, seeing that Kaitlyn was at her limit. He picked up Kaitlyn's glass.
"I'll take this one."
A glass of 48-proof liquor was too much for Kaitlyn to handle.
"Get lost. We're people who make millions a year. What business do you have here? Who do you think you are?"
Gary suddenly changed his expression, slapped the table, and looked down on James. "You're not qualified to drink with me."
Seeing Gary angry, Kaitlyn quickly spoke up, "Gary, don't be like this."
"I get like this when I drink. If I don't like someone, I don't hide it. I say what I want."
Gary glared at James and shouted, "If you're not happy, you can leave right now. You're not welcome here."
Kaitlyn tried to smooth things over. "Gary, I'll drink this."
"Kaitlyn, this has nothing to do with you."
Gary didn't let Kaitlyn speak and continued to take it out on James.
"Kid, let me tell you, the only reason you're sitting here with us is because of Kaitlyn. Otherwise, you would never know someone like me, Gary, let alone sit in front of me and pick up a glass."
"You don't have the qualifications or the status, understand? Do you even know your own place?"
Gary scolded James, thinking he was ruining his good time. If it hadn't been for Kaitlyn being there, he would have slapped him already.
James' eyes turned cold. "Do you really think you're that important?"
At that moment, a bottle of wine came whistling toward the table.
James quickly pulled Kaitlyn aside.
The next second, the bottle smashed onto the table with a loud bang, spilling wine everywhere and sending fruits rolling, creating a mess.
Several glasses were shattered, and the shards hit Gary and the others, causing them to groan and jump out of their seats.
A few women were drenched in wine, ruining their expensive clothes.
Susan and the others were furious. "Which bastard threw that bottle?"
"Do you know the consequences of messing with me?" Gary also looked around and shouted. "Whoever it is, you have one minute to step forward, or I'll find you and make you pay."
"Quite bold, no wonder you dared to mess with Yara."
As the words fell, a group of cocky young men with several beautiful female companions walked down the aisle.
Leading them was a bald young man with a sinister smile that was more horrible than a fierce expression.
Not far behind, there were a dozen men in black following.
Everyone could see that this bald guy was not to be messed with.
Gary, who was furious, suddenly became timid, his expression turning serious.
Gary's companion, Albert, saw a girl in a spaghetti-strap dress, and his face changed.
Earlier, when he went to get some brandy, he saw Yara on the phone in the hallway and was attracted by her hot figure, so he groped her.
Yara slapped him in return, and in his anger, he kicked her and touched her face a few more times.
Albert thought she was weak and easy to bully, but he didn't expect Yara to have such a background.
Although a bit scared, Gary, as the leader, still forced himself to ask, "Who are you people? I don't think we've offended you. This bottle..."
"Playing dumb? How interesting, playing dumb in front of me." The bald young man said expressionlessly. "Yara, go and pull out the person who harassed you."
Yara walked up to Albert and slapped him six times, making his cheeks swell.
Then she kicked him.
Albert was in pain and extremely embarrassed, but he didn't dare to resist.
"Bastard, do you recognize me now?"
Yara was also a tough character, her cold and beautiful face filled with ruthlessness.
"I told you you'd regret it. Do you believe me now?"
Hearing this, Gary and the others all looked at Albert. No wonder Albert took so long to get the wine; he had taken advantage of someone on the way.
This guy had really screwed everyone over.
Albert's body trembled as he struggled to squeeze out, "I'm sorry, it was a misunderstanding."
"No misunderstanding!" Before he could finish, the bald young man walked up and slapped him twice.
Then he picked up a bottle and smashed it on Albert's head.
With a loud bang, the bottle shattered, and Albert screamed, falling to the ground with his head bleeding.
Jenny and the others screamed in fear and instinctively hid behind Gary.
Kaitlyn was also a bit scared, and James held her hand to reassure her.
The bald young man kicked Albert a few more times before stopping.
During this time, neither Susan nor Gary dared to step forward to help.
"Young man, Albert is a bastard and did something wrong. He deserves to be punished," Gary's eyelids twitched as he shouted, "but he's already been punished. Let's call it even."
No matter what, Albert was someone he brought along. Gary had to say something, or he wouldn't be able to mix in the circle anymore.
The bald young man didn't waste words and slapped Gary in the face.
Gary covered his face and groaned, "You..."
The bald young man slapped him again.
Gary let out another scream, "Don't push me too far."
The bald young man slapped him again.
"Too far? I'm bullying you, so what? Are you going to shout at me?"
"Whether it's over or not, you don't get to decide. He doesn't get to decide either. I get to decide. I haven't said it's over, so why are you saying it is?"
As he spoke, he slapped Gary several more times, making him dizzy and causing him to stagger back.
Gary's cheeks were swollen, and he was furious but didn't dare to act out. He could only lower his head and speak.
"I'm Gary, the manager of BH Pharmaceuticals. Give me some face."
The bald young man slapped him again.
"Face? Who do you think you are? Asking me, Sebastian, to give you face?"
"What?" Gary's body trembled, and his face was full of shock. "You're Mr. Collins?"
