Chapter 220 Call Everyone Over
James strolled in with Mia, looking all chill but packing some serious heat.
The room went dead quiet, everyone remembering what James had said earlier.
"Kid, you finally showed up," Brandon sneered, puffing on his cigar. "Time to settle our scores."
John, still salty, stepped up too. He couldn't shake off the embarrassment James had caused him.
A bunch of people circled James, clearly gunning for him.
James shrugged off their glares and said, "Yeah, we gotta settle this. If you don't give me an answer today, I'll give you one."
A few women snickered at James. If Nathaniel couldn't handle Brandon, what chance did James have?
John and the others eyed James like he was walking into a trap.
"Mr. Williams!"
"Mr. Williams!"
Brandon and his crew frowned as Nathaniel and his gang turned to greet James with mad respect. Nathaniel even gave up his seat.
Brandon knew Nathaniel was a big deal in Rosewood City. His respect for James meant James wasn't just some nobody.
But Brandon couldn't figure out what was so special about James, who ran a small clinic and lived with his in-laws.
They didn't care much. If Nathaniel didn't faze them, why would James?
Nathaniel asked, all respectful, "James, what brings you here?"
James had no beef with Nathaniel and even called him a brother, but Nathaniel knew he couldn't act like they were equals.
James could be chill, but Nathaniel couldn't afford to get too comfy.
"Mr. Bell's good days are over. Had to come myself."
James patted Nathaniel on the shoulder and faced Brandon.
"Brandon, we meet again. Did you drink yourself stupid that day? Now you're pulling dirty tricks?"
He sneered, "If you can't handle losing, don't play."
John, feeling a sharp pain in his back, roared angrily, "Kid, you think I won't kill you right now?"
"Mr. Perez, chill," Brandon waved his hand and looked at James with a cold smile. "One day without seeing you, and you've turned into Mr. Williams. Interesting. But by messing with our circle, you're gonna pay. You can't escape what happened that day, nor can Kaitlyn. Even your parents and Mary might pay."
Thinking about that day with John, Brandon wanted to kill James. This kid was too sneaky, too hateful.
A cold glint flashed in James's eyes. "Really? No bottom line? Not worried about dying in Rosewood City?"
"Dying in Rosewood City?" Brandon laughed heartily. "Even Nathaniel doesn't dare touch me. What makes you think you can?"
With a cigar in his mouth, he looked all smug. Years of arrogance had made him forget what compromise was.
James smiled warmly. "Touching you is like touching a dog."
John was furious. "Bastard, say that again? I'll cripple you right now, believe it?"
Brandon reached out to stop John and the others. "I'm sitting right here. If you have the guts, do something to me. Stand up for your wife and the others?"
He looked at James mockingly. "Do you dare?"
The women also showed contempt. James might play dirty tricks, but would he dare confront Brandon directly?
James didn't waste words. With a cold smile, he stepped forward, grabbed Brandon's hair, and slammed his head onto the table.
James moved so fast and forcefully that even Mia couldn't stop him, let alone Brandon.
With a loud bang, Brandon's head hit the table.
Plates shattered, seeds scattered, and tea went flying everywhere.
Blood trickled down Brandon's forehead.
The cigar dropped from his mouth.
James didn't stop. He picked up the cigar and pressed it hard against Brandon's face.
Brandon screamed.
A burning cigar can hit around 800°F, so if he didn't scream, he wouldn't be human.
Brandon instinctively jerked his head back, trying to escape the burning cigar.
The cocky dude wanted to get away, but James wasn't letting him off that easy. He shoved the cigar into Brandon's mouth.
Another scream.
The whole room was stunned!
Even John and Nathaniel were dumbfounded. No one expected James to go this hard on Brandon.
The Bell's bodyguards and crew were in a daze, like they were seeing this kind of horror show for the first time, forgetting to step in and help.
Some women opened their mouths to scream but couldn't make a sound.
The smell of burning flesh filled the air.
"This bottle's for the Smith Family."
Before Brandon's screams died down, James grabbed a bottle of wine and smashed it down without blinking.
The bottle shattered, spraying wine and blood everywhere.
Brandon's head was bleeding, and his face was cut by glass shards.
Brandon finally realized that James wasn't just talking; he really meant business!
He struggled angrily, pressing his hands against the table.
The women screamed, and the men turned pale.
John shouted, "Kill them!"
The Bell's bodyguards and crew roared in anger, grabbing chairs to attack James.
Mia stepped up, grabbed one of them, and kneed him.
The guy's head got busted, and blood spurted out.
Then, Mia tossed the unconscious body aside and stood alone, blocking everyone. "Anyone who dares to come forward, I'll kill them."
Her voice was cold and merciless, and Mia had regained her former swagger.
Mia's ruthlessness made John and the others hesitate.
At this moment, James grabbed a second bottle and smashed it without hesitation.
"This bottle's for Bright Heart Hall Clinic."
Another loud bang, glass shattered, and Brandon's head bled, letting out another scream.
The beautiful women were horrified, stepping back a few paces, causing chairs and plates to clatter.
"So what if I touch you?" James patted Brandon's face. "A little nobody, thinking he's Joel Thompson?"
Brandon was furious. "James, you dare touch me? Have you thought about the consequences?"
Nathaniel's words now came out of Brandon's mouth.
James slapped Brandon. "If you have a problem, come at me. Messing with my people or Kaitlyn is asking for death. Today, I'll not only break your legs but also make you crawl out of Rosewood City. But I know you won't accept it, so I'll give you a chance. Nathaniel and I will wait for you in the parking lot for half an hour. Call whoever you want. If you scare me, break my legs. If not, I'll break yours."
After saying that, he kicked Brandon, sending him flying seven or eight feet.
John and the women were stunned. James had given them a huge shock.
No matter the consequences, James's actions had blown their minds.
James left with Nathaniel and the others.
Brandon, clutching his head, shouted, "Call everyone, call everyone here. I want James to know he can't mess with me. John, call your uncle and the others too."
