Chapter 444 Haven't Told Me the Address Yet

Amidst the screams of the glamorous women, James's dagger flashed like lightning, pinning Micah's hand to the table.

The blade pierced through his palm, embedding itself into the wood, binding the two together. Blood splattered, freezing everyone in shock.

Micah let out another scream of agony.

The glamorous women trembled in instinctive fear.

Isla stood there, mouth agape, forgetting to scream.

Micah glanced at the liquor dripping from above, then at the gaping wound in his hand, momentarily forgetting the pain.

He couldn't believe it—James actually dared to use a knife, crippling his hand right in front of everyone.

James didn't give anyone time to react. His left hand moved swiftly again.

He grabbed a fruit knife from the table and, without hesitation, pinned Micah's other hand, which was reaching to pull out the dagger, to the table.

The fruit knife created another line of blood, painting a shocking scene on the table.

The glamorous women nearly fell to the ground.

Micah gritted his teeth, but couldn't suppress a scream.

"James!" Isla shouted in anger, grabbing a gun, ready to shoot, but James flicked his right hand.

A half-smoked cigar was sent flying and burned her hand, causing her to drop the gun.

"After all the times you've crossed me, a bottle and two hands aren't too much, right?" James whispered with a smile.

Before the Gonzalez bodyguards could rush in, James pulled out the dagger and held it to Micah's throat as a warning.

Isla and the others shouted angrily for James to let him go.

Micah's hands trembled with a mix of frustration and fury. He couldn't believe what had just happened—James, in front of everyone, had struck him without a second thought. The sting of humiliation burned hotter than the pain itself.

He was Micah—someone who demanded respect, someone no one dared to cross. How could James, of all people, think he could get away with this?

A cold resolve settled over Micah's anger. He would make sure James paid dearly for this insult—paid in blood.

The glamorous women were also furious, feeling James had no right to harm Micah.

Micah gritted his teeth and shouted, "James, have you thought about the consequences?"

James chuckled dismissively. "Do you think I care about consequences when I came here?" he sneered, his eyes narrowing at Micah. "But you—you need to tell me something, or the consequences will be severe." Leaning closer, he demanded, "Where's Aurelia?"

Suddenly, the wooden door was kicked open with a thunderous crash. A dozen armed men stormed in, their presence radiating a murderous aura. Behind them followed a round-faced man, a stylish girl, and a bald man in uniform.

A booming voice echoed through the room: "Who's causing trouble here? Who dares to touch my nephew?"

Isla looked over, her face lighting up with joy.

The round-faced man was Ulysses from the Gonzalez Family.

The stylish girl was Lavinia Gonzalez.

And the bald man was Doyle Cunningham, the deputy chief of the Glowing Oasis Police Department.

Seeing them, Otto and the glamorous women were also excited, feeling their backbone had arrived, ensuring James's downfall today.

Isla quickly explained the situation, and Ulysses's face turned dark.

Micah caught his breath, "Uncle Ulysses!"

Despite maintaining his composure, his voice carried a hint of grievance, making Ulysses's eyes redden with anger.

His brow twitched, and though he said nothing, it was clear to everyone that he was ready to kill.

"Well, well, daring to touch someone from our Gonzalez Family, you've got guts." Standing before James and Micah, Ulysses glared at James, laughing in anger.

"In all my years, I've never seen someone as brazen as you," Ulysses said, his voice dripping with contempt.

Doyle glared at James, sneering at his audacity.

James chuckled dismissively. "Aren't you going to ask why I did this?"

"No need," Ulysses replied, his voice deepening with menace. "I'll tell you this, the humiliation Micah suffered today, you'll pay for it with your life."

James remained calm. "Aren't you afraid of law?"

"I am the law," Ulysses declared, unfazed by his nephew's predicament, maintaining his dominance. "Doyle, arrest him. If he resists, shoot him on the spot. If he dares to take Micah with him, his whole family will pay."

Ulysses never liked being threatened, especially not by someone as ignorant as James.

"Take him!" Doyle commanded, and the uniformed men surrounded James.

Lavinia drew her gun, pointing it at James. "Let Micah go," she demanded.

James looked at Micah and spoke calmly. "He hasn't told me where Aurelia is yet."

"Idiot, still putting on an act at a time like this?" Micah sneered. "Your life is at stake, and you're still worried about Aurelia?"

James's voice remained steady. "She must die, or you might."

Lavinia, annoyed by James's calm demeanor, flushed with anger. "Shameless brat, still provoking us at death's door?" she shouted, itching to shoot him.

James's dagger lowered, a wave of murderous intent emanating from him. Micah shivered, sensing the coldness on his throat and danger.

James's voice was indifferent. "Mr. Gonzalez, do you really want to bring trouble upon yourself?"

Micah trembled, speaking with difficulty. "I'll tell you, I'll tell you, she's at Riverside Villa, heading to Lumaria at one in the morning."

He suddenly realized that though revealing Aurelia's whereabouts was embarrassing, it was nothing compared to his life. Besides, James wouldn't even make it out of the Royal Court Hotel, let alone find Aurelia for revenge.

Hearing Aurelia's location, James sent a message on his phone. "Good."

Just then, Lavinia pulled the trigger, shooting James in the shoulder. Blood spurted out, causing James to shudder, the dagger falling from his grip. The uniformed men swarmed him, pinning him down.

James didn't resist, not because he didn't want to, but because he had little strength left. Moreover, the silent elder stood behind Ulysses, watching him closely.

Ulysses sneered. "You're finished."

Lavinia stepped forward, slapping James, then hitting him on the head with her gun. "Dare to harm Micah, to hold him hostage, I'll make you wish you were dead."

Blood trickled from James's head. The glamorous women, having recovered from the gunshot, watched James's plight with schadenfreude. Overconfident, and for what?

Just then, six black sedans arrived at the heavily guarded Royal Court Hotel. The security guards instinctively moved to block them, but upon seeing the license plates, they recoiled like snakes.

Soon, the cars stopped at the hotel entrance, and a dozen burly men emerged. They entered the hotel, exuding an overwhelming presence. The Gonzalez Family's dozens of bodyguards initially moved to stop them, but upon seeing their attire, they retreated in panic.
