"Not worthy?" Abigail scoffed, "At a time like this, you're still causing trouble."
She could never forget James' humiliation at the Clark Family banquet, so she seized every opportunity to target him.
Mary hesitated before speaking, "Actually, James could help."
Before Mary could finish, Christopher impatiently interrupted, "Mary, stop speaking up for James. Mom and Dad already told me, that night, it was you two who used Olivia's connections to ask Jared and Jonathan to protect James' dignity."
"James happened to save Olivia's daughter and now thinks he's some big shot? That's just too self-important. I've clinked glasses with Mr. Collins, Mr. Clark, and Mr. Sanders. Did I get proud? Did I show off?"
Christopher's face showed disdain. "Stop trying to humiliate yourself."
At the Clark Family banquet, Christopher's family was humiliated. Later, Addison comforted them by saying James had overextended Olivia's favor.
She meant to lift Christopher's spirits, but he took it seriously, believing James had no real connection with Jared and Jonathan.
James rubbed his head, saying, "Actually, I can."
"What do you mean, you can?" Charles slammed his teacup down. "It's all your fault. If you weren't so useless, your mom wouldn't be in this situation. Aren't you connected to Olivia? Now, immediately, call her and ask her to help get your mom out."
Embarrassment be damned, getting Addison out was the priority.
"No way!" Before James could speak, Mary firmly said, "James, you absolutely cannot ask Olivia."
If her mother had to rely on her husband's mistress for rescue, it would be a lifelong pain.
Charles looked at his daughter. "Mary."
"Find a way, use all connections, even if we have to sell the family assets to compensate." Mary was resolute. "But we absolutely cannot let Olivia help. James, if you dare to ask her, we're finished."
"We don't need Olivia." Seeing Mary's frosty expression, Joseph gave a smug smile. "I can handle it. Mary, I'll go now and tell my dad to get Auntie out as soon as possible."
"Uncle, Mary, don't worry. Auntie will be fine. I can handle it, no matter what."
After saying this, he gave Mary a gentle smile and left the Smith Family villa.
"Dad, which hospital is the patient in?" James looked at Charles and spoke, "I want to go see."
Although James could use connections to solve this, it wouldn't address the root problem. Only by curing the patient would Addison and the clinic be truly safe.
James saw the root of the problem at a glance.
"What does the hospital have to do with you?" Charles impatiently glanced at James, then held Christopher and the others' hands, tears streaming down his face.
"Christopher, Abigail, Mary, you have to find a way to save your mom. She's always lived a life of luxury, she can't endure hardship, she can't stay in detention. Whatever it costs, we have to get her out."
Mary quickly comforted, "Dad, don't be sad, we're working on it."
Christopher thought for a moment and said, "Dad, let's see if Joseph can get Mom out first."
Christopher continued, "If not, we'll have to find a good lawyer. Then get a medical evaluation to see if it's really Mom's fault. If it's not Mom's responsibility, things will be easier to handle."
The words sounded easy, but everyone could feel Christopher's helplessness.
Everyone knew that even if Addison wasn't at fault, Aaron wouldn't easily let her go out of anger over the poisoning.
"I'll go to the hospital tomorrow." James' eyes flashed with determination; he wanted to see Aaron's condition.
Christopher sneered, "What can you do at the hospital? Even if you beg on your knees, it won't help."
Abigail also spoke up, "Exactly, we've already begged, and they ignored us."
James firmly said, "I'm not going to beg for forgiveness; I'm going to check the patient's condition."
"So many experts at the hospital couldn't cure him, what can you do? Do you think you're an expert? Do you know medicine?" Abigail shouted angrily. "Don't cause more trouble for our family."
Charles also angrily said, "You useless thing, still pretending at a time like this? How did our family end up with a son-in-law like you?"
He cursed while slamming the table.
The next morning, James got up early, exercised, and was surprised to find he had broken through to the second stage.
Both his speed and strength had improved significantly.
He was overjoyed, hoping to reach the third stage soon, which would make him very powerful.
After breakfast, James was about to inquire about Charlotte's whereabouts when he received a call from Patrick.
He warmly asked, "James, where are you?"
"At home." James replied and asked back, "Patrick, what's up? Is there a problem with BH Pharmaceuticals?"

Patrick added, "James, get ready to count money until your hands cramp."

James wondered if Patrick would go crazy with joy if he told him he had other upgraded beauty formulas.
Both of them tacitly avoided mentioning Harry as if it was all in the past.
"Oh, talking about BH Pharmaceuticals, I got carried away and forgot the main issue." Patrick laughed. "James, I'm calling because an elder of mine has a problem. His mother was poisoned by medication. Can you detoxify?"
James' heart skipped a beat. "Aaron's mother?"
"James, you're well-informed." Patrick Sanders slapped his thigh. "Yes, it's him. He's seeking medical help everywhere, but the hospitals can't help, and Mark and Bradley are in seclusion."
James was a bit surprised that Patrick was seeking medical help for Aaron.
But thinking deeper, it made sense. The Collins family and Lyla were both prominent families with close ties.
"I figured you're good at medicine, and detoxification is part of it, so you might have some expertise."
He softly added, "Could you come over and take a look?"
James readily replied, "I'll be right over."
