Chapter 57 Indomitable

He was the infamous outlaw Austin Bell, tremendously powerful. Today, victory was within reach as he led his team on a mission, yet he was struck from a hundred meters up in the sky.

Although Austin did not die immediately, he knew most of his bones were broken. Even if he didn't die, he would be paralyzed, which left him feeling incredibly sorrowful and unwilling to let go.

James thought he would die a brutal death, but unexpectedly, there wasn't a scratch on his body. Instead, there was a middle-aged man who had been hit lying beneath him.

"Thank God."

James felt a sense of relief and then scanned his surroundings. The scene was a mess, with limbs scattered around and more than thirty bodies strewn about. There were traces of explosions, indicating a fierce battle had taken place.

Then, he looked towards the center of the bodies, where three sedans were parked. The area around the cars was blood-red, and the vehicles were riddled with sword marks and bullet holes.

In front of the innermost Lincoln car, a grey-clothed old man was kneeling, clutching a blood-stained axe. He was panting heavily, covered in wounds, clearly at the end of his strength.

Beside him, two maids in green robes were lying, barely alive.

Behind the Lincoln car, Olivia was sitting. She wasn't her usual arrogant self. Instead, she was unusually quiet. It was this silence that allowed her to maintain the last bit of initiative.

Her hands were tightly gripping a Browning gun, and three shot assassins lay at her feet. Undoubtedly, they were all killed by her.

Six indifferent assassins stood around the Lincoln car, each radiating a lethal intent, ready for the final attack.

However, at this moment, both sides were staring at James, the guy who had fallen from the sky.

Upon recognizing James, Olivia was stunned for a moment, and a touch of warmth appeared in her icy eyes.

She had never thought that James would risk his life to rescue her.

As James looked around bewildered, the injured Austin, struggling to breathe, lifted his dagger.

Austin shouted, "Damn you, I'll kill you..."

Startled by the blood-covered Austin, James's wrist shook, and he accidentally dropped a half-brick on Austin's forehead.

Austin's skull cracked, and he collapsed back, his life fading even further as he gasped. "You... you..."

"Sorry, sorry..." James muttered apologetically, embarrassed by his clumsy action that had inadvertently worsened Austin's injuries.

In his haste to get off Austin, James accidentally pressed on a broken rib, pushing it completely into Austin's chest cavity.

Austin's body jerked, his face turned pale, and blood spurted out.

"Sorry!" James exclaimed as he hurriedly pulled the rib out.

Austin screamed in agony, his eyes bloodshot with rage, wishing he could strangle James. But his hands fell weakly as his life force faded, dying with his eyes wide open.

Austin had never imagined that he, so close in his grasp of victory and so powerful, would be killed by a random brick.

"Is he dead?" James looked at the stone in his hand, stunned by the abrupt end to Austin's life.

He quickly stood up, only to see six assassins rushing towards him with curved knives, crossbows, and firearms, all radiating hostility.

Olivia ran up from behind the car. "James, be careful!"

She aimed at an enemy and pulled the trigger, only to hear the click of an empty gun.

"Austin!" Seeing Austin motionless, the six assassins paused, then screamed in grief, "Damn you! You killed Austin! We'll kill you!"

One of the men, eyes fierce like a leopard's, was uncontrollable with rage. "Kill him, avenge Austin!"

"Fire!"

Sensing danger, James shouted, pressing the stone, which shattered into several pieces and flew out like a hail of bullets.

The six assassins approaching James were instantly bloodied and fell screaming to the ground, their weapons firing aimlessly into the sky.

Then, in the blink of an eye, James was upon one of the assassins, his dagger slicing through the air with deadly precision.

The assassin instinctively raised his dagger to block.

The sound of metal striking metal rang out as the YC Sword cut through the dagger and into the assassin's throat.

Indomitable.

"Damn you!" The leopard-eyed man, despite the pain, grabbed a gun and sprayed bullets at James.

Hundreds of pellets flew out.

Olivia instinctively shouted, "Watch out!"

James could have easily dodged, but doing so would have left Olivia exposed to the gunfire.

Instead, he tackled Olivia to the ground and rolled to the side.

James avoided the deadly barrage, but three or four pellets hit his back, blood spurting out.

Olivia saw James wince in pain, her heart trembling. "James."

Although James had saved Sophia twice, Olivia was only grateful to James, but today, James genuinely touched Olivia's heart.

From a young age, she had been constantly told to be independent and strong and to fight for her career like a man.

Over the years, she had been outstanding and exceptional, but the inner struggles were known only to her.

Now, Olivia felt a sense of security. James's embrace made her irresistibly intoxicated. It seemed that as long as James was there, she would never have to fear the cold or danger.

Contrasting Olivia's infatuation, James was on high alert. After shoving Olivia under the car, he rolled swiftly, instantly reaching the leopard-eyed man.

The leopard-eyed man hurriedly tried to cock his gun for the second shot.

James swung his right hand.

The man's throat was instantly splashed with blood, and his body swayed and fell to the ground.

James kicked his body, knocking over several assassins behind him who were about to shoot.

Taking advantage of this opportunity, James charged forward.

Four assassins were taken aback, instinctively retreating two steps.

To the surprise of Olivia and the grey-clothed old man, James showed no mercy, his sword striking down without hesitation.

The sword light was like lightning!

Blood surged into the sky!

Three assassins fell in succession.

The last assassin panicked, throwing away his weapon and raising his hands, shouting, "I surrender, I surrender."

He had the opportunity to shoot, but he lost the courage to pull the trigger.

James swung his sword backhand, piercing his throat directly.

"We don't kill those who surrender!" The grey-clothed old man shouted to James, "This is the rule."

The two maids in green robes also frowned slightly.

James only glanced at him, then gave the leopard-eyed assassin another stab. Then, the grey-clothed old man and others heard James's indifferent response, "It's your rule! My rule is to remove the roots when cutting the weeds!"

He raised his hand again, and his sword pierced Austin Bell's throat.

All of them were killed!
