Chapter 22
The next moment, James kicked Stanley to the ground.
Stanley rolled out over 10 feet, knocking down several of his companions before he stopped. A rib was broken, his teeth clenched tightly from the pain, unable to yell out. The corner of his mouth was bleeding...
The action was too clean, too swift.
So much so that among the dozens of pairs of eyes on the scene, no one saw it clearly.
Ava and the others were all dumbfounded.
James did not stop, stepping on Stanley's leg and saying, "Apologize properly, or this leg won't be saved."
"Bastard..." Stanley kept screaming in agony. The pain spreading throughout his body made him wish he could just die.
"Disobedient." Facing the shocked gazes of everyone, James snapped, breaking Stanley's leg with one foot.
Then, he stepped on Stanley's other leg.
"This..." Ava and the others were stunned, their mouths agape, unable to believe it.
With more than a dozen people on the other side and three burly bodyguards, was James tired of living for being so rampant?
Even Mary's brow twitched, a chill in her heart.
Meanwhile, Samuel had a fiery face and was extremely excited.
"Bastard, let go of Mr. Sullivan." More than a dozen followers roared, wanting to rush up.
The three bodyguards also pulled out their batons.
Samuel picked up a bottle of wine and stood next to James.
"Whoever dares to step forward, I will waste Stanley's other leg," James simply said, instantly suppressing the chaos of the scene.
More than a dozen of the Sullivan family's followers were furious, their hands on their weapons but dared not move.
Countless people, casting one glance after another, were all nervously and shockingly examining James.
The atmosphere in the box was extremely tense.
The air was filled with a cold chill.
"Bastard, you're so arrogant. Aren't you afraid you won't be able to get out of the club today?" Stanley gritted his teeth and scolded, "Not to mention that I won't let you go; the SH Corporation won't let you go either."
"The SH Corporation?" James smiled faintly. "Interesting."
Stanley looked down on James and said, "This is the SH Corporation's club, Serena's place."
"I have trouble, you have trouble, all of you have trouble," He reminded James and also reminded Mary and the others.
Although the Sullivan Group was involved in construction and was the leading engineering company in Rosewood City, Stanley never involved himself in the group's affairs. He enjoyed lending money to women and had made a fortune from it.
From college girls to urban young wives and office white-collar workers, as long as they were attractive and in need, he would lend to them.
He could roll twenty thousand dollars into eight hundred thousand dollars, and when one person borrowed, he could pull the whole family to pay the bill.
Because the target was all women, and he was exceptionally skilled, this business was not only extremely profitable but also had no risk.
Over the years, he had made a lot of money, and he had become more arrogant and dismissive of everything.
Today, he ran into James, a hard nut to crack, and instead of reflecting and restraining himself, he thought about how to kill James.
"James, you're too reckless. It was just a small matter, but now you've made a big deal out of it. Don't you want to end it?" Ava suddenly interrupted, indignantly scolding, "I order you to apologize to Mr. Sullivan immediately. Otherwise, you will bear all the consequences today."
James coldly said, "Why do I listen to you?"
"What do you mean by that? Ava is doing this for everyone's good. If you make such a fuss, everyone will be unlucky," Madelyn said with a dark face, "Mary and even the Smith family will suffer because of you."
"Mary won't have any trouble, and the Smith family won't either." James then looked at Samuel. "Samuel and the others won't either."
Ava sternly shouted, "James, if you don't let go of Mr. Sullivan, I won't care about this. Don't regret it!"
Madelyn was also angry at Mary, saying, "Mary, won't you control James? Are you going to let him harm everyone?"
Mary didn't say a word. Although she didn't know James's confidence, she chose to stand with James at this time.
At this moment, another group of people appeared outside the door. More than a dozen uniformed security guards escorted a glamorous woman in.
The woman was in her thirties, very charming and tall, especially her waist and hips, which were very attractive.
The person in charge of the club was Serena.
"Mr. Sullivan, what happened to you? Who dared to touch you?" As soon as Serena entered, she laughed and said, "Whoever moved Mr. Sullivan? Please stand up."
She glanced at James and asked knowingly.
James casually lifted his head and smiled, asking, "Are you from the SH Corporation?"
"Yes, I'm in charge. Everyone gives me a face and calls me Serena," Serena giggled. “Fighting is not allowed here, so you've caused a big trouble today."
James smiled faintly. "Aren't you going to ask who's right and who's wrong? Who started it?"
Serena was slightly stunned, then smiled playfully and said, "Of course, it's your fault."
"Am I wrong?" James raised a smile, looking at the sarcastic woman. "Without investigation, you say I'm wrong, right?"
James retracted his cold smile and looked at Serena and the onlookers as if wanting to kill them, making everyone feel uneasy and uncomfortable.
The voluptuous Serena twitched the corners of her mouth and then angrily spread her hands, saying, "Here, if I say you're wrong, then you're wrong."
James nodded lightly. "Very well, hearing your words, I suddenly feel that you don't need to be in charge anymore."
Ava and Madelyn were taken aback, their faces showing surprise.
How could a young man like James look down on Serena and the powerful existence behind Serena?
Serena snorted, "If you have the ability, let me go."
She didn't believe James could do anything to her. Call the police? Sue the club? Child's play.
Then, she casually waved her hand, and more than a dozen uniformed security guards came forward, surrounding James menacingly.
Two of them even had homemade shotguns in their hands.
"Stop pretending." Stanley gritted his teeth and laughed sinisterly. "You're in trouble."
Madelyn and Ava also had satisfied faces, gloating over James' bad luck.
James said nothing more, took a pen and paper, wrote down a number, and then casually threw it to Serena.
He said, "Give you a minute to figure out the situation, then consider the club's stance today."
Serena looked at the piece of paper in her hand and the familiar number on it and laughed dismissively. "Are you still pretending? What's the point?"
James held Mary's hand and said, "Fifty seconds left."
Such a scene left Serena and Stanley stunned.
Who the hell was this guy?
Whether it was his tone or his posture, he exuded a sense of contempt for all beings.
Ava and Madelyn were sneering, thinking he was over-acting.
Serena, who originally didn't take it seriously, hesitated and took out her phone to make a call.
The one on the other line said, "Hello, I am Jacob Davis."
Serena's wrist trembled. She was afraid.
