Chapter 423 You Are Cheating

At eleven o'clock at night, James showed up at the Glowing Oasis dock and boarded the "Peak of the Snow Mountain" cruise ship.

He had the ID Green Wolf had set up for him and a check for $21 million, ready to dive into the underground gambling scene.

Green Wolf had told him that the Peak of the Snow Mountain was a money-laundering haven for the Wolf Business Association, packed with wealthy gamblers.

Fine wine, beautiful women, and piles of cash made this place a paradise for indulgence, and the Wolf Club was raking in profits by the boatload.

The casino saw daily transactions of three to five hundred million dollars, with profits starting at twenty million dollars, making it the Wolf Club's most crucial economic lifeline.

Green Wolf also mentioned that the gambling ship was guarded by White Wolf.

Though White Wolf was a woman, she had trained under a master gambler and was Aurelia's most capable lieutenant.

When James walked into the ship's main hall, it was brightly lit and bustling with people.

Many wealthy young women gathered around various gambling tables, confidently throwing down their chips.

"Welcome." A beautiful woman in a short skirt and low-cut top greeted James enthusiastically at the chip exchange counter.

"Sir, how many chips would you like to exchange?"

James tossed the check onto the counter. "Exchange $21 million."

The woman in the short skirt, evidently accustomed to large sums of money, showed no surprise at the $21 million and exchanged it with a radiant smile.

James quickly had $21 million worth of chips in his hands.

"Come on, come on, I'm betting big." With the chips in hand, James headed to the table for betting big or small and directly placed $1 million on the left side.

The table was surrounded by five or six elegantly dressed men and women who initially looked at James with disdain, but their expressions changed to shock upon hearing the $1 million bet.

A million dollars might not be much to the people present, but betting a million dollars on big or small was either a sign of madness or immense wealth.

The pretty dealer smiled sweetly. "No regret."

Then, she opened the lid, revealing the dice inside.

"Two, three, three, eight points, small!"

James immediately lost the $1 million.

"Such bad luck." James rolled up his sleeves and shouted, "Again, I will win this time."

The next round started quickly, and after shaking the dice, the dealer smiled to everyone, signaling them to bet.

James threw down another $1 million. "I lost betting big last time, so this time I'm betting small."

The surrounding guests were once again astonished. This guy was really throwing money around, betting $1 million at a time.

Many people, drawn by the commotion, came over to see what was happening.

Several guests hesitated but followed James in betting small, thinking that his confidence might be a good sign.

The lid was lifted.

The dealer giggled, "Three, five, six, fourteen points, big!"

James lost another $1 million.

The guests who had followed James were furious and expressed their disdain, "What bad luck."

Meanwhile, those who bet against James were delighted, having won a considerable amount.

One guest shook his head at James. "Young man, betting big or small with a few grand is fine, but betting $1 million at a time is just giving money away."

Several glamorous female guests also smiled playfully, thinking he must be some rich kid throwing money around.

"No problem, next round, I will definitely win it back." James, frustrated, took out another $1 million worth of chips. "Come on, come on, this third round, I will definitely win."

The crowd laughed at his words, knowing that in gambling, bad luck could be relentless.

The dealer shook the dice again, then pressed them down, looked at the crowd with a sweet smile.

James made a self-assessment. "I didn't stick to my strategy in the second round, so I lost. Now, I've decided to go all the way and bet big."

He threw down another $1 million worth of chips.

Seeing another $1 million bet, the crowd's astonishment grew, and more people gathered to watch.

Some even placed bets on small, thinking that with James's bad luck, betting against him might win them something.

The third round opened quickly—two, two, three, seven points, small.

James lost another $1 million.

In the fourth round, James hesitated but continued to bet big.

When the lid was lifted, James's expression froze instantly—three, three, four, ten points, small!

The dozens of onlookers burst into laughter, looking at James with schadenfreude.

In less than five minutes, $4 million was gone, truly a prodigal son.

Several women in short skirts covered their mouths and giggled, their eyes looking at him as if he were a fool.

"Again." James was determined, taking out more chips to continue the battle.

Casino staff intervened, using the excuse of letting James focus on his bets to prevent other gamblers from joining in.

In the next six rounds, James's luck was abysmal, losing every round. In ten consecutive rounds, James lost them all.

$10 million was gone in an hour, leaving the crowd in shock.

James's hair was a mess, his eyes bloodshot, and he clutched the remaining chips tightly.

Losing ten rounds in a row drew a large crowd.

A woman with a delicate face but a weary expression appeared on the second floor, looking at James.

It was Aurelia.

Seeing James, her pupils instantly narrowed, filled with venomous hatred.

After the attack at the villa, she had her subordinates handle the aftermath while she came to the ship to recuperate.

She never expected James to show up here, truly audacious.

She wanted to rush down and shoot James in the head.

But seeing James lose, Aurelia's anger temporarily subsided, guessing that James came to make a quick buck but lost due to inferior gambling skills, losing $10 million in one go.

"Ms. Kingsley, isn't that the target James we need to kill?"

A seductive woman in white approached Aurelia, staring at James and asking, "Should I clear the area and take him out?"

After returning from the villa, Aurelia had distributed James's photo to her lieutenants, making him the Wolf Club's public enemy.

"Not yet, let him lose all his money first. Besides, we just opened today, and acting now would be too costly."

Aurelia said with a hint of mockery, "Call in two hundred subordinates, have them hide on the ship, and once James loses everything, we'll clear the area and take action."

She was determined to reclaim the $10 billion James had taken.

The woman in white responded respectfully, "Understood."

Aurelia said no more, coldly watching James.

After losing ten rounds, James didn't stop, continuing to bet big or small with the dealer, losing another nine rounds in a row.

In the twentieth round, James bet big again, but the result was still small.

$20 million gone!

The surrounding gamblers laughed, thinking James was the biggest joke of the night.

Amid the crowd's disdainful laughter, James suddenly stood up and slammed his fist onto the table.

The loud noise stunned everyone, including the dealer.

James pulled open his collar and shouted at the dealer, "I don't accept this!"

"I suspect something's wrong! Why do I keep losing while you keep winning?"

"Everyone relies on luck, so why is your luck so good? Who would believe that?"

He was indignant. "Cheating, there must be cheating!"

Before the dealer could speak, Aurelia came down from upstairs, smoking a cigarette. "Watch your mouth, James. You lost $20 million, and I understand you're upset, but that's no reason to slander us."

"Kneel and apologize, then break one of your hands and leave, and I won't make things difficult for you."

"Otherwise, according to the rules here, I'll cut out your tongue."

In this business, the worst thing was being accused of cheating, as it would instantly ruin their reputation, and no one would dare to play anymore!

The surrounding guests didn't mock James this time; instead, they had a question in their minds.

Yes, betting big or small was purely luck, so how could James lose twenty rounds in a row?

Was there really no problem here?

"Kneel and apologize? Break one of my hands? You're cheating and want to silence me? That's unreasonable."

James defiantly slammed the table. "I want ten more rounds."

"We'll have someone bring dice from outside, and if I lose more than half, I'll admit to slandering you."

"Then I'll not only kneel and apologize but also break one hand and one foot. How about that?"

James was surprised to see Aurelia but didn't show any seriousness or tension, instead acting like he was desperate.

Seeing James willing to bet his hand and feet, the surrounding guests couldn't help but nod, then looked at Aurelia with questioning eyes.

Aurelia frowned, thinking James was completely out of his mind, but knowing that if she didn't convince him, their reputation would be damaged.

"Fine, I'll have someone bring new dice." Her voice turned cold. "With your current luck, I won't take advantage of you. If you win more than three rounds, we'll admit to cheating."

"But if you can't, you'll leave a hand and a foot."

She originally wanted to say that if James won one round, she would admit defeat, but for safety's sake, she asked for three.

The crowd shook their heads, thinking that with James's current luck, winning three rounds was as unlikely as winning a $3 billion lottery.

James quickly took over the conversation. "None of us is getting new dices. Otherwise, no matter who wins, we won't be convinced."

"Let's have ten kind people help, and have ten runners each bring ten sets of dice. Then we'll randomly choose from these hundred sets."

Aurelia found James childish and ridiculous but still looked at the nearly hundred people present. "Please help us."

The eager crowd excitedly took out their phones to buy dice.

Soon, over a hundred sets of dice were laid out in the hall.

"Pick any set you want, I'll make sure you lose convincingly."

Aurelia had White Wolf replace the dealer, staring coldly at James across the table. "Let's see if we're cheating or if you're slandering us."

James didn't hesitate, randomly picking a set and tossing it to White Wolf. "Let's begin."
