Chapter 507 Bullying with Power

The woman in black—clearly Jessica—was instantly furious at seeing James slap her subordinate. This wasn't just defiance; it was a serious provocation.

Several beautiful female companions looked at James with disdain, thinking he was truly suicidal.

This wasn't some backwater place, but Night Bar—Sovereign City's largest nightclub. What could some out-of-towner possibly have to challenge Jessica and her people?

James slammed Marc to the ground. "I came here tonight specifically to wreck this place."

"You're too arrogant," Jessica was about to order an attack, but seeing Zane, she suddenly became pitiful. "Mr. Lowe, look how he's bullying me."

Marc also managed to call out, "Mr. Lowe, they're pretending to be Mystic Alliance members and causing trouble!"

"You again?" Zane, who had been indifferent until now, stepped forward. Recognizing James, he paused before offering a cold smile.

"You're truly stubborn, repeatedly causing trouble and even impersonating Mystic Alliance members."

"I've been looking for you everywhere, and now you've delivered yourself to me." Behind him appeared a woman in blue clothing with cold eyes and a nimble body—clearly a trained fighter, even more formidable than the woman in red from before.

This was Ember Stone, a young expert Zane had specially brought from Sovereign City Mystic Alliance after his previous defeat.

James smiled faintly. "Looking for me? Want to beg for mercy on your knees?"

Several beautiful women snickered at his words. They'd never seen someone so thick-skinned, and their contempt deepened.

They poured drinks for Zane, then stood aside with their wine glasses, drinking and watching the show. Clearly, they all believed James was doomed tonight.

"You think being able to fight makes you special?" Zane sneered. "Let me tell you, there's always someone better in this world."

As he spoke, Ember stepped forward, radiating killing intent.

"Kneel down and apologize!" Zane pulled out a cigar, lit it, and pointed at James. "Then bring Mary to my room for the night, and I'll spare your life today."

"Otherwise, I'll have you thrown into the river tonight. Last time the Harvey family protected you, allowing you to escape with your life. But this time, I doubt they'll arrive in time."

He looked at James with pleasure. After James had escaped last time, Zane had been frustrated for a long time. Now, unexpectedly meeting James again tonight, he could settle both old and new grudges.

Jessica also sneered, "No wonder you're so arrogant—hiding behind the Harvey family's power."

James motioned for Seraphina to step back. "You're wrong. When the Harvey family appeared last time, they saved Zane, not me."

"Kid, you shouldn't be so arrogant."

Unable to contain herself any longer, Ember shot forward, instantly appearing before James and sweeping her leg in a powerful attack.

Ember was furious, thinking James too conceited—impersonating Mystic Alliance while being so arrogant was simply courting death. So this kick carried tremendous force.

She believed this kick would, if not explode James's head, at least shatter half his body.

Seeing James standing motionless, Jessica, who had never witnessed his skills, had mockery in her eyes, clearly thinking James was doomed. She folded her arms across her chest, waiting for James to beg for mercy.

Zane sat down in a chair, leaning back to watch James's death struggle. However, he had added several more bodyguards to ensure James couldn't take him hostage again.

"Be careful!" Seraphina instinctively called out.

Just then, the motionless James suddenly raised his hand, effortlessly tapping Ember's ankle with his left hand.

Ember immediately felt a shock in her right leg. Her momentum instantly halted, followed by a needle-like pain.

While everyone was surprised that James was unharmed, Ember drew in a sharp breath. She realized James was far stronger than she had imagined.

When her kick failed, sensing danger, Ember reacted quickly. She leaped up, floating like a leaf. Her speed was extraordinary.

But James was faster. He kicked a chair forward like a cannonball, directly targeting the retreating Ember.

Seeing the chair flying toward her with no time to dodge, Ember shouted and crossed her hands, striking the chair forcefully.

The chair shattered under Ember's strike, falling to the ground with a crash. But her hands also hurt, and she retreated four or five steps with blood at the corner of her mouth.

Only now did Ember realize that James was much stronger than her—far from the novice she had initially judged him to be.

Unfortunately, she understood too late.

James didn't miss this opportunity. As the chair flew out, he slid forward a great distance and launched a punch.

The sound of his feet rapidly scraping against the floor echoed through the room.

Jessica and her companions' faces changed as they instinctively stepped back.

Ember's heart also jumped in alarm—James's next attack would surely be earth-shattering!

With no time to dodge, Ember could only shout loudly, stacking her palms to protect herself.

She had barely formed a defense when James's fist crashed into her.

Fist met palm.

With a tremendous sound, Ember groaned as she flew backward like a kite with cut strings, crashing through the crowd behind her. More than a dozen people were knocked down by her flying body.

Jessica was also knocked over, getting up with disheveled hair, looking quite miserable.

Then with a loud bang, Ember crashed into the soundproof paneling, her face pale and full of pain.

The beautiful women who had been waiting to see James humiliated all trembled involuntarily. Their expressions showed shock, discomfort, and unease.

Jessica's eyelid twitched as she sensed James's extraordinary nature.

Zane's eyes widened in disbelief. He hadn't expected Ember to fail as well—she was Sovereign City's top talent, on par with Ruby and others.

He pulled out his phone and sent a text message.

James wiped his hands with a tissue. "Mr. Lowe, your people are like last time—should we try another batch?"

Ember's face was flushed with shame and anger. She struggled to move forward but collapsed to her knees after a few steps, spitting out a mouthful of blood. She was clearly suffering from internal injuries.

James turned to Zane. "Or maybe you'd like to step up personally?"

"Arrogant! Truly arrogant!" Zane still pointed at James imperiously. "Unfortunately, no matter how well you fight, you're just a bodyguard. You have no idea what kind of behemoth you've provoked."

"In three minutes, I'll make you understand the meaning of regret." He looked at James with a bluff of bravado.

"Calling for backup?" James smiled faintly. "Fine, I'll give you ten minutes."

In less than five minutes, the door to the private room was thrown open again as a large group of men and women strode in.

At the front was a powerfully built middle-aged man with bronze-like skin, his massive frame nearly bursting through his trench coat.

He had a high nose and was blind in one eye, but his every movement exuded overwhelming dominance.

Uri.

James immediately recognized him, surprised that Zane had called upon his most powerful backer.

He smiled, sat down, picked up the unbroken $100,000 whiskey bottle, poured himself a glass, and drank leisurely.

"Mr. Lopez, you're here?" Seeing Uri appear with his people, the previously imperious Zane stood up. "I'm terribly sorry to trouble you so late."

"But there was no choice. Some hot-headed fighter with skills is impersonating Mystic Alliance, injuring dozens of people and even hurting Ember. It's a bit troublesome. I thought it would be better if Mr. Lopez handled it."

He strode forward to greet him.

Jessica and her companions also hurried forward, bowing and scraping.

Dozens of people smiled and greeted Uri respectfully.

Jessica and Ember curled their lips, glancing at James as if to say he was finished.

James remained completely calm.

"Someone impersonating Mystic Alliance? And injuring our people?" Uri ignored the fawning crowd around him. "Who has such audacity?"

Zane pointed at James. "Him!"

Uri walked toward James with an expressionless face, his voice cold and detached. "Young man, to defeat so many people shows remarkable skill. Tell me, which faction do you represent?"

"I'm curious what gives you the confidence to injure Sovereign City Mystic Alliance members on our territory!"

"Today, regardless of who you are or who stands behind you, you will die. The dignity of Sovereign City Mystic Alliance cannot be desecrated."

"I ask about your backing not because I fear provoking someone I shouldn't, but because I want to hold them accountable as well."

James smiled faintly. "Mr. Lopez, you're using your power to bully others."

"Yes, I am. If you don't like it, feel free to resist," Uri said domineeringly. "Face me, you little bastard!"

Jessica and the others were all impressed by Uri's dominance.

James picked up the bottle and poured another large glass of whiskey, dropping an ice cube into it.

Jessica, Ember, and the others looked at him with contempt.

Zane shouted, "Still putting on an act?"

James turned his face halfway, holding his glass. "Didn't know you're so eager to see my face."

Uri's body instantly trembled at the sight.

How could he not recognize that face?

His eyelid twitched. Regardless of how many people were watching, he rushed to James and said in a low voice, "Mr. Williams, it's an honor to see you!"

James placed the whiskey in Uri's hand while taking a small glass for himself. He clinked glasses lightly.

"Mr. Lopez, our first meeting—let's have a drink. I'll take just a sip, but you must finish yours."

He took a small sip, then discarded his glass, watching Uri.

Ember and the others were instantly dumbfounded.
