Chapter 481 Unable to Leave the Train Station

The next morning at ten, James was on the high-speed train to Sovereign City, listening to music and scrolling through his phone.

Even though he decided to head to Sovereign City today, Virgil and Michelle were overly excited and booked tickets early, taking Samantha and Francis with them at seven.

So, James was traveling alone.

"Let me tell you, Allan, I will never forgive you."

Just as James was about to close his eyes and relax, a figure suddenly sat up in the seat diagonally across from him, accompanied by an angry voice:

"I can also tell you, you missed out on the most precious person in your life. You will regret everything you've done to me sooner or later, you scumbag."

Several passengers turned to look.

James opened his eyes and looked over, unable to hide his surprise. It was the woman he had saved last night.

Hestia was wearing knee-high boots, black stockings, and a black trench coat, giving her a slightly seductive and alluring look.

Although she wore sunglasses that made it hard for others to see her face, her sexy figure was enough to attract attention.

Hestia also saw James, her flushed face showing a hint of surprise, followed by a flash of delight in her eyes.

"James, help me out."

Hestia ran over to James, grabbed his arm without saying a word, and buried her face in his chest, then took a photo.

That wasn't enough; she quickly made seven or eight poses, holding hands, touching heads, pretending to kiss—anything to look intimate.

Then, she swiftly posted the photos on social media.

James opened his Facebook and nearly fell over:

[Glowing Oasis trip, found true love.]

He quickly spoke to Hestia, "Hestia, this could cause trouble."

He didn't mind if Hestia's boyfriend saw it, but if Mary or Olivia found out, it would be a big problem.

"James, I'm sorry, I just wanted to get back at someone."

Hestia bit her lip and looked at James. "Don't worry, I'll delete it later. I promise it won't cause you any trouble."

Then, she took out an unopened Patek Philippe watch from her Hermes handbag and skillfully put it on James's wrist.

"This is my gift to you, a thank-you for saving me last night." She smiled brightly. "Thank you for saving me."

"It was nothing." James waved his hand and then tried to take off the watch. "This watch is too expensive, I can't accept it. You should take it back."

He didn't know much about watches, but judging by the style and quality, it was worth at least tens of thousands of dollars.

"James!" Hestia's face turned serious, pretending to be angry.

"Even though we've only met twice, I've already considered you a friend. You saved me, so it's only right for me to give you a gift. You have to accept it."

"Otherwise, it means you look down on me and dislike me." She showed her assertive side. "If you give it back, I won't consider you a friend anymore."

Seeing Hestia so determined, James could only reluctantly say, "Alright, thank you."

At the same time, he thought about returning it to her in the future or compensating her in another way.

"That's better." Seeing James accept the gift, Hestia's face lit up with happiness. Then she changed the subject, "Are you going to Sovereign City?"

James nodded, "Yes, I'm going to visit a relative there."

"Then you should stay a few more days." Hestia smiled. "I grew up in Sovereign City. You can give me a call, and I'll show you around."

James chuckled and nodded. "Sure, once I'm done in Sovereign City, I'll find you to be my tour guide."

He was always easygoing, and Hestia's straightforward personality didn't bother him. He didn't mind making a new friend.

"Let Hestia be your tour guide? Do you even deserve it?" Before Hestia could respond, a cold voice came from behind.

"Do you even know what kind of lowly country bumpkin you are? Kid, I don't know what your intentions are, but I'm warning you, don't have any ideas about Hestia."

Genevieve, who had just returned from the restroom, stood in front of them, looking down at James with contempt.

"Do you even know who Hestia is? Do you have any idea how rich the Reyes family is? If I told you, it would probably scare you to death."

Last night, she had been startled by James's Lamborghini, but thinking about the cheap snacks James had, she guessed he was probably a repair shop employee.

To satisfy his vanity, he drove a customer's luxury car to pretend to be someone he's not. After all, she had never seen a wealthy person driving a luxury car and eating cheap street food.

Thinking about this, she looked down on James even more.

"Genevieve!" Hestia interrupted Genevieve angrily.

"What are you talking about? I asked James for help, he didn't bother me."

"Besides, he's my savior and my friend. If you keep talking like this, I'll get mad."

She showed her strong side. "And my identity and my family's wealth don't affect my friendship with James at all."

James's eyes showed a hint of admiration.

Genevieve was displeased. "Hestia, I'm not trying to humiliate him, I just hope he doesn't have any inappropriate thoughts."

"Even though I'm angry at Allan for what he did, he's still better than James. After all, Allan is the heir to the tea family."

"His billions of dollars are not something a regular repair worker can compare to."

She looked at James with disdain and shook her Cartier watch. "Have you seen a luxury watch? Five thousand dollars each? Can you afford it?"

"Genevieve, I'm really angry now." Hestia's face turned serious. "To me, James is a hundred times better than Allan. I won't allow you to insult James."

Seeing Hestia angry, Genevieve had to stop talking, but her eyes still glared at James with a warning look.

Hestia apologized, "James, I'm sorry, Genevieve didn't mean it. Please don't take it to heart."

James looked at Genevieve and smiled faintly, "It's okay, I won't get angry with someone who's about to die."

"Bastard, who are you cursing?" Genevieve was instantly furious. "Do you believe I'll smash your mouth?"

Hestia was also taken aback. "James..."

James looked at her calmly. "You have a lump in your chest, it's a malignant tumor!"

Genevieve was furious, not only did James curse her, but he also said there was a lump in her proudest area, which was outrageous.

"Hestia, look at him, he's disgusting and self-righteous. Being friends with him is the worst decision."

She was aggressive. "Apologize to me right now and promise to stay away from Hestia, or I won't let you off."

Hestia looked at James helplessly, "James, if you're upset, just curse her a few times. Why say she has a malignant tumor?"

"Apologizing is out of the question. On the contrary, she should thank me." James said calmly, "If you don't believe me, go to a hospital and get checked."

"You bastard!" Genevieve couldn't hold back anymore and slapped James.

Hestia grabbed Genevieve's wrist. "Genevieve, don't be impulsive. James didn't mean it, he was just angry."

She believed James was defending his dignity and retaliated by saying Genevieve was sick.

Genevieve pointed at James and cursed, "Hestia, let go of me. This bastard, this loser cursed me. I need to teach him a lesson."

"Please, let's move on." Hestia pulled her friend back to their seats and signaled James not to argue anymore.

"Remember, get to the hospital right after getting off the train." James closed his eyes to rest, "Or your life will be in danger."

Genevieve was furious, but she couldn't break free from Hestia's grip.

She could only point at James and shout, "James, just wait. I'll make sure you don't leave Sovereign City train station."
