Chapter 458 A Challenge

Primrose had never felt so humiliated in her life.

She lunged at James, ready to beat him to a pulp, but before she could even touch his sleeve, James had her sprawled on the ground, teeth scattered.

Not only was she in disbelief, but Manuel was also stunned.

When did Primrose become so weak?

Francis and Vance were equally shocked. They had heard of James's prowess but never imagined he could be so domineering.

"Are you at Low Level Perfection?" Manuel stepped forward, his face dark as he glared at James.

Primrose was surprised; she could hardly believe her ears.

James, Low Level Perfection?

But if Manuel said it, it must be true. A few slaps had sent her flying—how terrifying.

Primrose looked at James bitterly. She had thought she could easily defeat him, but to him, she was just a clown.

James spoke indifferently, "Low Level Perfection? I don't know what that means."

He never paid attention to his own level. He had no systematic understanding of martial arts; he just fought when he felt like it.

Moreover, he noticed his strength seemed to improve daily, making it hard to gauge his true level.

Regardless of the opponent, if they provoked him, he would fight.

"I underestimated you. No wonder Aurelia died in you hand. But so what?" Manuel sneered. "Whether you're Low Level Perfection or not, you have no way out today! I just advanced to Mid Level, a level above you!"

Manuel drew a blade. "Tonight, I'll behead all of you."

The blade was stained with black, white, and red, looking gruesome and sinister.

Primrose instinctively shouted, "Manuel, you brought Draw Slasher?"

Draw Slasher could cut through iron like mud and had been soaked in countless blood, affecting the opponent's spirit and energy, a treasure of Dane.

Primrose became excited, "You're finished!"

Draw Slasher wouldn't return without drinking blood.

James might be strong enough to fight Manuel, but with Draw Slasher, even ten James wouldn't be enough.

The companions were also excited, seemingly foreseeing James's downfall.

Ruby warned, "President Williams, that blade is strange, be careful."

"Young man, tonight I'll show you there's always someone better." Manuel's aura surged as he held Draw Slasher and casually swung it at the sky. "With this blade, I've killed eighteen people with just a single swing!"

"You're just another crying soul!" he yelled, exuding arrogance and confidence.

James looked at Draw Slasher and sighed, "What a pity for this blade."

Ruby and the others instinctively stepped forward, "President Williams, let me handle him."

James shook his head lightly. "No need."

"Die!" Manuel roared, charging at James with the blade.

Instantly, the blade shadows filled the sky, red light flashing.

At the same time, a ghostly wail emanated from the blade, drawing everyone's spirit and energy into it.

Many present were horrified by the scene. Was this the power of Draw Slasher?

Then they noticed James wasn't moving.

No, he seemed unable to move, standing there dumbfounded, as if frozen by the blade's aura.

Ollie and Kaida's faces changed, wanting to warn James, but found they couldn't speak, as if something was blocking them.

They wanted to rush forward to protect James, but their feet wouldn't move, as if cemented in place.

At this moment, they were at the mercy of others, naturally thinking James was in a similar situation.

They became extremely anxious.

Primrose sneered, "James is done for. He asked for it."

Manuel laughed triumphantly, "Kid, remember, the one who kills you is Manuel."

"Too much talk." A cold voice tinged with a a hint of mockery and impatience suddenly echoed, freezing Manuel's laughter.

Then Manuel was shocked to see ames appear before him.

How could James not be affected by Draw Slasher? How could he cut through the blade shadows and reach him?

Was he too weak, or was James just too strong?

Before he could finish his thought, a slap landed on his face.

Manuel's body shook, flying out like a cannonball.

Before he could get up, James flashed to his side like lightning.

Another slap knocked Manuel, who was trying to rise, back to the ground, causing him to spit a mouthful of blood.

"With your skills, if it weren't for Draw Slasher, I could take you down with one finger."

James looked disdainful, delivering another slap.

Blood flowed, and Manuel's face was deformed.

Primrose and the others watched James in horror, their eyes filled with fear.

Manuel was a Mid Level fighter, wielding Draw Slasher, yet he couldn't even fight back against James's slaps?

Was it because he underestimated his opponent? But even if he did, he shouldn't be unable to dodge a few slaps.

"Kid, you dare hit me?" Manuel was both angry and shocked.

Angry that James dared slap him publicly, trampling and humiliating him. He represented Dane, and James's actions were a challenge.

Shocked by James's strength, able to slap him down without him even reacting.

James slapped him again with a face full of provocation. "So what?"

Manuel was furious, "You—"

James stepped back. "I'll give you a chance to turn the tables."

Manuel gritted his teeth, got up, and roared, channeling all his power, "You'll regret it!"

He swung the blade at James again, the blade shining like lightning.

Everyone instinctively shouted, "Watch out."

Before Manuel could reach him, James flashed and stomped him down.

Manuel was a skilled fighter, with immense strength and reaction.

But when James's foot came down, he was instantly stomped to the ground.

He couldn't dodge or resist; he felt like a mountain was pressing down on him. Unable to withstand the pressure of the stomp, he was directly forced to kneel.

In an instant, Primrose and the others gasped, eyes wide with shock.

They thought there was a chance to turn the tables, but Manuel was still beaten.

"You disappoint me."

James stomped on Manuel's back, crushing his will to resist.

"Kid, I admit defeat today." Manuel struggled to save face. "If you have the guts, kill me."

"But I'll tell you, if I die, my teacher and seniors won't let you go. Everyone here, including you, will die at my teacher's hands."

James picked up Draw Slasher, flicked it, and four beams of light shot out, four streams of blood spurting simultaneously.

Manuel screamed and fell to the ground.

James stabbed the blade into the ground, pulled out a tissue, and wiped his hands, "I've severed the meridians in your limbs. You'll never stand again, let alone practice martial arts."

"Don't worry, I won't kill you. Not because I don't dare, but because today is a good day, and killing ruins the luck."

James waved lightly, "Take care of the others too."

Crazy Bear grabbed an axe and walked towards Primrose.

Primrose couldn't keep up the act, hurriedly pulling out a scroll, "Please stop! We came tonight just to deliver a challenge from our teacher."

She dropped her arrogance, her face only showing fear.

James smiled faintly, "A challenge?"

"A week from now, at Glowing Oasis Maple Hill, my teacher wants to fight you." Primrose's voice trembled. "To decide victory and life."

"I accept the challenge." James took the scroll. "But still no mercy for you."

Crazy Bear swung the axe down.
