Chapter 502 Bail Him Out

All disowned?

Hearing this, the whole room erupted in laughter. Countless people looked at James with mockery, thinking he was completely delusional.

On one side stood hundreds of people, on the other just one man. One person from the Garcia family, expelling hundreds—clearly the joke of the year.

Several Garcia women shook their heads. James had impressed them by creating level-eight tea, making them think he had some talent, but now they saw he was just another fool.

Everyone believed James must have lost his mind to say something so absurdly ignorant.

Michelle's face showed relief, but in her heart, she thought James was just trying to comfort her.

James, however, looked at Michelle with complete seriousness. "Mom, don't worry. A family's existence isn't about numbers, but about its strength."

He held Michelle's hand earnestly. "From today on, I'll make you the Garcia of Sovereign City. I won't just make sure the whole city recognizes you—I'll make you known as the creator of the finest red tea."

"Within a month, you'll be the only Garcia in Sovereign City."

By now, several police officers had arrived. Githa approached them, whispered something, and they started moving toward James.

Michelle tugged at James's arm. "James, I don't need to be a Garcia, I don't need honors. I just want our family together, safe and sound."

"Too late!" Mrs. Garcia sneered. "Now you regret it when you see the police? You didn't appreciate the chance I gave you earlier. Now you realize how foolish you were, but unfortunately, opportunities don't come twice."

She thumped her cane on the floor. "If we don't teach you a lesson today, you'll really think the Garcia family is a pushover."

She mistakenly believed Michelle's plea for peace was begging for mercy.

Beckett held his head and shouted, "That's right! You gave me a concussion, and you both will pay for it!"

Michelle frowned slightly at the approaching uniformed officers, clearly worried about their situation.

"Mom, don't worry. We'll be fine," James smiled. "Actually, today marks the beginning of the Garcia family's downfall."

A uniformed female officer looked at James with contempt. "Just come with me to the station to explain how you assaulted these people."

James ignored the officer's words, his gaze cold as he stared at Mrs. Garcia. "The way you framed my mother years ago, hurting her and Samantha today, stealing my level-eight formula, and Beckett's leg—I've taken note of everything."

"When I get out of the police station, I'll make you pay tenfold, a hundredfold. I won't just reduce the Garcia family to nothing but a name, I'll make you break Beckett's leg with your own hands."

James had no interest in personally crippling Beckett, and he knew his mother didn't want him to violently harm the Garcia family, so he planned to boil the frog slowly.

"Make my grandma break my leg? Keep dreaming," Beckett scoffed. "You should worry about how you're getting out of the police station first."

Mrs. Garcia sat back down in her chair. "Michelle, James, you mother and son will soon be on your knees begging me for mercy."

James said nothing, just smiled as he left with Michelle, escorted by the police.

---

An hour later, at the Sovereign City Police Station.

James sat casually in the interrogation room, curiously looking around.

"What are you looking at? Focus on confessing," the female officer said with disdain. "You have two good hands and feet—why couldn't you do something honest instead of conspiring with your mother to steal your family's secret formula? And not satisfied with theft, you resorted to violence?"

She issued a warning, "Let me tell you, Beckett and the others are seriously injured. That's enough to put you away for a while."

The male officer beside her put on a stern face, "Confess for leniency, or face harsher punishment."

James suddenly asked, "If I told you the Garcia family twisted the truth and they attacked first, would you believe me?"

The female officer snorted. "The Garcia family welcomed you with open arms, even bought your mother a five-million-dollar house. If you hadn't stolen from them first, why would they attack you?"

"I created both the level-six and level-eight formulas," James spoke calmly.

"You?" The female officer looked contemptuous. "At your age, I believe you drink red tea, but create it? I don't buy it. Stop making things up. Admit you stole from the Garcia family, or you'll regret it."

She said impatiently, "Besides, your mother has a prior theft record. This is just her second offense. You might as well confess."

James chuckled. "Can't you avoid taking sides and investigate properly before jumping to conclusions?"

The female officer's expression hardened. "I don't need you telling me how to do my job."

"I'd like to make a phone call." James stretched lazily. He'd wanted to reason with them, but seeing they'd already made up their minds, James decided to be more direct.

The male officer's face darkened. "Just confess. What phone call?"

James looked directly at him. "Until you have concrete evidence of my guilt, you have no right to restrict my freedom to make calls."

"So you know some law? Yet you still break it!" The female officer sneered, tossing James's phone to him. "Go ahead, call. I'd love to see who you think can get you out of this!"

James was about to call Ron for help when a voice came from the doorway.

"James? What are you doing here?"

Someone had passed by the door, peeked in, then stopped in surprise. The door opened, and a middle-aged woman and a young girl appeared.

The officers immediately stood up. "Ms. and Mrs. Sharp."

James looked over and recognized Hestia from the high-speed train. She wore a bohemian style outfit, looking both delicate and fashionable.

The middle-aged woman beside her was in her forties, wearing sunglasses and a trench coat, but her beautiful features were impossible to hide. Her figure was exceptional, every inch of her skin radiating vitality.

"Hello," Hestia greeted the two officers, then rushed excitedly to James. "James, what are you doing here? Mom, this is James, the one who saved me in Glowing Oasis." She held James's hand with familiarity.

The female officer was slightly taken aback, surprised by Hestia's closeness with James. After all, Hestia was the daughter of Lavinia, CEO of Horizon Vista Properties.

Behind Horizon Vista Properties stood the massive conglomerate, Thousand Shadows Group.

Before James could respond, the woman in the trench coat walked in, looked at James, then said coolly to Hestia, "Hestia, the police are working. Don't interfere."

This was Lavinia Sharp, CEO of Horizon Vista Properties. She was surprised by Hestia's connection to James, and despite hearing he had saved her, her eyes still held a trace of wariness.

Hestia only now realized James was sitting in an interrogation chair. "James, what happened?"

"Miss Sharp, it's like this." The female officer quickly summarized the situation, concluding, "He stole the Garcia family's secret formula and injured Mr. and Mrs. Green. It's serious."

The male officer nodded repeatedly. "Yes, yes, very serious."

Hestia's pretty face had been solemn, but at the mention of the Garcia family, she immediately sneered. "Mom, James is innocent. I want to bail him out."

Lavinia frowned. "Hestia, don't be impulsive."

"James is a good person. I believe him. The Garcia family are the ones who can't be trusted." Hestia played her final card, "James is my boyfriend. If you don't bail him out, I'm not leaving either."
