Chapter 160 Fulfillment

Madison's face flushed red as she realized what he was referring to, and Willow was right there – she hoped Willow hadn't heard.

Madison stammered, embarrassed to discuss such matters, "I'm fine."

Willow actually did overhear Matthew's voice on the other end of the phone. With the phone's excellent sound quality, she saw Madison's beet-red face and quickly slipped away, not wanting to hear any adult talk. She was still a kid, after all, ~

After Willow stepped out, Madison complained to Matthew, "Willow was right there; she surely heard you."

Matthew justified, "What does it matter? She's not a little kid."

Madison felt the conversation should end. It was pointless to argue with him, especially when he was so energetic—she was practically worn out!

So she promptly changed the subject.

"Are you coming home for lunch?"

"I won't be back for lunch. I haven't finished my work yet."
Madison thought it had been a while since she'd been back to Aurora Heights, and she had previously agreed with Matthew that she would return there that day. But at the last minute, he had to go back to the office to work overtime.

"Alright, I'll come over after work," he said.

"Okay."

"Bye Madison, muah~~"

The two of them exchanged affectionate goodbyes before hanging up, and Madison emerged from the kitchen.

She saw Willow playing with the little ones, Quentin and Hannah, in the living room while Mr. Johnson had just come inside from the garden. Madison approached him, "Mr. Johnson, I'm taking Quentin and Hannah back to Aurora Heights for a few days. We'll be staying there and then come back to visit you on the weekend."

"So soon you're returning," Mr. Johnson remarked. Even though his family had been living at The Old Residence for quite some time, it still felt too soon for them to leave. He knew the distance to the kids' school made their daily commute inconvenient. "No worries, Mr. Johnson will miss you all, but you can always come back."

"Thank you, Mr. Johnson," Madison said sincerely. She had considered moving into a bigger house to accommodate Mr. Johnson, but he preferred his own space. She knew that in Aurora Heights, it was just a matter of time before the children started boarding school at their international academy, and they would ultimately move back to their villa.

Upon hearing about the return to Aurora Heights, Willow declared her intention to join Madison and the kids after lunch.

In the office building of JK Group Headquarters, Matthew sat in his chair while his brothers gathered around. Victor leaned against a desk with a cup of coffee while Mitchell, Liam, and Patrick lounged on the sofa.

Patrick stretched out lazily on the couch, yawning and griping, "Matthew, why do we have to work overtime on the weekend? I stayed up too late last night, and I'm still sleepy."

Matthew's sharp look made Patrick sit up straight and tidy himself. "Heh, I was just sorting out some jerks who bothered Willow, and it wore me out."

Matthew's expression softened upon hearing this, and Patrick let out a relieved sigh, feeling as though he'd narrowly escaped a scolding from Matthew's intimidating stare.
Hearing Patrick mention the group of troublemakers from yesterday, Liam clenched his teeth and said disdainfully, "Sending them to the police was too good for them; they should have been thrown into the ocean as shark food."

Patrick immediately knew Liam was still holding a grudge, especially since Liam's sibling was also involved. "Liam, those guys got a beating from Jonah himself. They were half-dead by the time they got to the station. Anyway, I wiped out that entire shady network in our area yesterday as a model citizen. Some people have to learn the hard way not to break the law."

Liam snorted coldly and glanced at Mitchell, who hadn't said a word, "If Jonah hadn't stepped in personally, do you think you would've let them off so easily!"

Victor set down his coffee cup and suddenly spoke up, "From now on, let's have a few guys follow them whenever they go out."

Patrick froze, then naively asked, "Why?"

The older brothers all rolled their eyes at him—such a naive kid.

Finally, Matthew put down the documents he was holding, and with Victor behind him, they came to sit on the sofa.

Seeing the serious look on Matthew's face, everyone got down to business.

Matthew scanned the room and began, "I need to go to Italy. There's been progress with my parents' situation, and I have to handle it personally."

That morning, Matthew had received a call from Dorian, who was back in Italy. K's hideout was supposedly there, and despite years of investigation, no clues had been found, showing how cautious the old fox was.

Dorian explained that K was about to ship a batch of arms and was looking for buyers. He wanted Matthew to work undercover, posing as a buyer. They had the support of international law enforcement, and in the years Dorian had been undercover with K, he had collected plenty of evidence of his crimes. This was a chance to catch them all in one fell swoop.

Most importantly, they had to catch K, a very cunning individual. They needed to plan thoroughly to avoid any risks, as failure would put all their associates in grave danger.

Of course, this mission wasn't guaranteed to succeed, and the stakes were high. Going deep into enemy territory would put Matthew in great danger.

Although they hadn't confirmed Madison's identity with a paternity test, Dorian had already treated Madison like a younger sibling. "I don't want my sister to become a widow," he said.

Matthew scowled. "Then why don't you go? Why call me?"

Dorian sighed. "I was prepared to go. There really is no one else trustworthy to pair up with."
Matthew mulled over his gratitude for the trust placed in him, yet he felt a personal resolve to pursue justice for his parents' betrayal. If Dorian truly were their killer, Madison's heart would surely break over her cousin's demise.

"Matthew, going to Italy alone is too risky," Mitchell voiced his concerns as soon as Matthew mentioned his intentions, the memory of Matthew's previous shooting incident in the Middle East still causing shudders among them.

"I'm coming with you, Matthew," Victor agreed with Mitchell. They couldn't stand the thought of Matthew embarking on this venture solo, even though it was a family matter he wished to settle personally. As brothers who had grown up together, they all knew too well that their adversary wasn't to be underestimated.

Matthew turned his gaze towards Victor, and after a long pause, he finally nodded in agreement. "Alright, my second brother will join me. You guys take care of the business and, by the way, keep an extra eye on our sister."

Liam and Patrick remained silent, their moods somber. Over the years, they had conducted their undercover investigations into the elusive K Group and understood the depth of their influence. The thought of Matthew and Victor directly infiltrating the lion's den weighed heavily on them.

They all hoped that Dorian's plan would prove to be reliable.
