Chapter 268 Beach Vacation
Before setting off, Madison had done some research and made early reservations for a hotel by the beach. The hotel had good online reviews and had a soft, white sandy beach right outside. The hotel also had many entertainment facilities suitable for children, which made it perfect for a family like theirs that wanted to have a fun vacation together.
After the plane arrived at the airport, they quickly contacted the driver arranged by the hotel and arrived at the hotel smoothly. They checked in, and as soon as they settled their luggage in the room, the two little ones got excited upon seeing the beach. Madison changed them into their swimsuits, applied sunscreen on them, and made sure everyone wore sun hats. After taking all the necessary precautions, they headed out. They bought a set of sand toys from the hotel's small shop and went to experience the joy of building sandcastles and playing in the water.
In the late afternoon on the beach, when the sun was no longer blazing hot, many people were still coming out to play. It might be because it was already summer vacation, so there were especially a lot of children, almost all accompanied by their parents. A family of four rented a large beach umbrella and two reclining chairs. They opened the umbrella and secured it in the sand, then placed the chairs beneath it. Madison and Matthew relaxed comfortably on the chairs while Quentin and Hannah, the two little ones, played in the sand, catching small crabs. The sea breeze was gentle at this moment, and the waves were light. The family of four enjoyed their time happily and peacefully.
Quentin and his sister made friends with two other kids on the beach. The four children played fervently together, building sand castles. Madison took photos with her phone, capturing the scenery by the seaside and the two happy kids. She also sneaked a picture of Matthew and used software to make a short video, which she directly posted on her social media feed for everyone to see. After watching the video, everyone gave it a thumbs up, especially since it was rare to see Madison showing off Matthew. Although it was only a brief appearance in the video, it still drew everyone's attention. Shortly after posting the video, Madison received dozens of likes and comments on her social media feed. She sat in her chair with a happy smile, patiently replying to each comment. Matthew didn't know that she had shared the video, but he looked at her with a doting expression and felt delighted as well.
After replying to the messages on her social media feed, Madison noticed that the sun was slowly descending toward the horizon. She pulled Matthew up from the chair, holding hands with him. They took off their shoes and walked barefoot on the fine sandy beach, their figures elongated by the evening glow.
Walking along the sea, strolling through the leisurely courtyard, their graceful figures intertwined, romance flowing under the twilight.
The beach in the evening was truly beautiful, with fewer and fewer people. The beach gradually became calm without the hustle and bustle of the day. Both the sun and the moon could be seen on the horizon, as the sun was reluctant to set while the moon had already stealthily risen, creating such a spectacle.
Many people, eager to witness the moment of sunset, set up their cameras on the beach. When the sunset moment arrived and the warm light spread over the sea, casting a blue-purple hue in the sky, it was captured in the phones and cameras of everyone present.
The sunset itself was a grand romance, and the people on the beach were all rushing to embrace this romantic moment.
Madison also took a few photos of the beautiful sunset with her phone. Then, holding Matthew's hand, she prepared to walk back, taking the two little ones with her to the hotel for a wash and dinner. Just as they returned to the area under the beach umbrella, they saw Quentin, Hannah, and the other two kids still diligently building their sand castles, and they had even started making models.
A young boy with a shy smile and a large camera hanging around his neck approached Madison and Matthew. He gathered his courage before speaking, but his voice faintly trembled.
"Hello, I'm a photographer. It might be a bit presumptuous, but could I take a group photo for you?" The boy scratched the back of his head awkwardly after finishing his sentence.
Madison was taken aback, as she had never encountered such a situation before. She hesitated for a moment and then turned to Matthew. With an expressionless face, Matthew stared at the boy, giving off a slightly intimidating vibe.
Knowing that Matthew wasn't fond of such things, Madison contemplated refusing. After all, who knows if the photos would be used for other purposes? "I'm sorry, but we..."
Before Madison could finish, the boy hastily explained, "Don't worry, sister. I'm just a photography enthusiast. Usually, I help people take photos through online appointments. I just saw you two, hand in hand, under the sunset, and it looked so beautiful. That's why I took the liberty to ask if I could take some photos for you. You can rest assured that I will give you all the negatives. If you agree, I can also share them on my account. I promise they won't be used for anything else. Of course, this is only if you agree. If you don't, the photos won't be shared. Here's my identification card. You can take a look." The boy took out his ID card from his bag and handed it to Matthew. He also opened his social media account for Madison and Matthew to see.
Madison didn't expect that this shy and awkward young boy in front of her was actually a popular internet celebrity photographer with quite a following. His personal account showcased many well-taken photos that he had captured for others.
Madison glanced at Matthew, seeking his opinion through her eyes. Matthew raised an eyebrow, took a brief look at the boy's ID card, and then said, "Let's do it tomorrow. It's getting late today, and we still have two children with us. We're actually heading back for dinner."
Madison smiled at the boy and said, "We'll be staying for several days. If you really want to take our photos, could we include our whole family of four?"
"Of course!" The boy seemed excited upon hearing their agreement.
"In that case, could we arrange the photo shoot tomorrow evening?" Madison asked.
"That works. Miss, would it be possible for you to add me on Facebook? Just let me know a convenient time tomorrow," the boy said as he took out his phone and opened Facebook.
Madison took out her phone and added the boy on Facebook. For some reason, she was immediately drawn to this shy, big boy, so she inexplicably felt a sense of trust in him. After looking at the photos he posted online, she felt a warm feeling. She believed that since he saw warm and beautiful things through the lens, he must also be a warm person.
After saying goodbye to the boy, the two of them went to find Quentin and Hannah. Their sand castle was already magnificent, and the parents of the other two children were waiting nearby. It seemed that the children didn't want to leave.
