Chapter 306 Explodes

Daniel rushed to the door of Mitchell's room. The door was half open, and she pushed it open and walked in. There was no one in the room, only the sound of water in the bathroom. Mitchell must be taking a shower. Daniel planned to return later, but her attention was drawn to an iron box on the bed.

She walked to the bedside. The iron box was open and looked quite old. When she looked inside, she was shocked to see Willow's photos in the box.

Daniel stared and picked up the things from the iron box, and the more she looked, the more shocked she became. Everything inside was related to Willow - photos, both frontal and candid shots, and a few small cards with Willow's handwriting. Her brother really liked Willow.

Daniel sat on the edge of the bed in a daze, unable to come back to her senses for a long time. Mitchell finished showering, came out with half-dried hair, and saw Daniel sitting on his bed, holding one of Willow's photos. He walked over with a frown and asked in a displeased tone, "What are you doing in my room?" His ears were red, showing a hint of embarrassment and anger.

Daniel saw Mitchell standing in front of her, regained her senses, quickly put the photo back in the iron box, and stood up somewhat awkwardly. Mitchell passed by her expressionlessly, calmly tidied up the things on the bed, put everything back into the iron box, closed it, and placed it in the innermost drawer of the cabinet.

Daniel stood by, watching her brother hide the iron box like a treasure. She thought to herself that no wonder she hadn't discovered this secret before. Her brother hid it so well that they had wasted so many years.

Mitchell finished arranging things and turned to see Daniel still in his room. He directly issued an eviction order, "Why haven't you left yet?"

Daniel hesitated for a moment, her hands clasped together suddenly feeling nervous. Although it was almost certain that Mitchell liked Willow, there was something she needed to confirm. "Brother, did you have a photo in your wallet before?" Mitchell frowned and blurted out, "How did you know?" Then he regretted it, "Why are you asking this? Go back to sleep quickly. I have work to do." He then walked to the desk, turned on the computer, and prepared to deal with some emails.

Daniel stood still, looking at Mitchell staring at the computer screen silently. Suppressing her excitement and a bit of unease, she cautiously asked, "Brother, was the photo in your wallet a picture of Willow?" Holding her breath, she waited for Mitchell's response.

Mitchell furrowed his brow, looked up at Daniel, and remained silent. Daniel looked at him expectantly, waiting for his definite answer.

After a moment of silence, Mitchell said in a desolate tone, "So what if it is?" After all, Willow didn't like him anyway.

Daniel widened her eyes. Although she was somewhat prepared, hearing her brother admit it was still very shocking. Why did his brother's tone sound so pitiful, as if he was a neglected woman? They clearly had mutual feelings for each other.

Oh no, Jimmy is taking Willow to school tonight. Could it be that he's planning to confess? She could tell at first glance that he was interested in Willow. If her brother really doesn't like Willow, Willow could consider it, but now.

And her brother doesn't even know that Willow likes him, does he? He probably thinks Willow likes that classmate she made up who is studying abroad. What should she do? Can she tell him now, or will she get beaten up by her brother?

Daniel made up her mind, opened the liquor cabinet in her brother's room, took out a bottle of wine, opened it, and started drinking. Mitchell watched her inexplicable actions, stood up, and scolded, "What are you drinking at this late hour? Go back to your room and sleep." He walked over to Daniel and snatched the bottle of wine from her hand. Daniel had already drunk half the bottle, and as Willow said, alcohol does embolden, and indeed, she felt less nervous after drinking.

Mitchell didn't understand why Daniel suddenly went crazy, coming into his room for no reason, asking strange questions, and drinking. Did she face setbacks at work? Or did Daniel have relationship issues recently? He hadn't seen any men around her. Mitchell thought she might be in a bad mood, so he patiently coaxed her, "All right, go back to sleep. If Mom and Dad find out you're drinking, they'll nag you again."

Listening to Mitchell's gentle voice, Daniel suddenly threw herself into his arms, "Brother, I'm sorry." After a few sobs, she stood up, snatched the bottle of wine back from Mitchell's hand, took another big gulp, and finally felt a bit dizzy. Daniel smiled foolishly.

Mitchell took back the bottle of wine and locked it in the liquor cabinet. "What's wrong with you today?" he asked with a serious face. "Did someone bully you?" he guessed.

Daniel shook her head, "Brother, I have something to tell you. Please don't get angry, and don't blame me."

Mitchell frowned, looking at Daniel's slightly flushed face, but very clear-minded, he didn't speak, wondering what she was going to say.

Daniel took a deep breath, gathered her courage, and confessed, "Brother, actually, when Willow got drunk at her graduation, it wasn't because the classmate she liked went abroad. I made that up. Willow never liked that male classmate."

Mitchell's frown deepened as he listened, but he didn't speak. His eyes were fixed on Daniel, urging her to continue. Daniel cautiously looked at Mitchell, "Actually, Willow has always liked you."

It was as if something exploded in Mitchell's mind. He stood there dumbfounded, staring at Daniel as if frozen in place.

Daniel waved her hand in front of his eyes, "Brother, are you okay?" Mitchell still didn't react. Daniel shouted urgently, "Brother!"

Mitchell finally came to his senses then looked up blankly, "What did you say?" His voice even trembled a bit, and his hands involuntarily shook.

Daniel didn't know what was happening with her brother, took a step back, and said carefully, "I said Willow has always liked you."

Mitchell rushed out in his pajamas and slippers. When Daniel came back to her senses, she saw him already running out of the room and heading downstairs. Remembering something, she hurriedly followed, shouting loudly behind him, "Willow is at A University."
