Mother Howard listened to her niece's words and realized that Madison had mentioned her usual work of making clothes for people. Quentin and Hannah became familiar with the other children and no longer looked for their parents during meals. Instead, they ate independently at their table, just like the other kids. At first, Madison was a little worried and kept looking in their direction. Matthew noticed her concern and reassured her, saying, "Don't worry, Quentin will take care of Hannah." Finally, Madison saw the two little ones eating their food happily and felt relieved.
After dinner, Grandpa and Grandma rested for a while and then went to bed. They knew they had to wake up early the next morning, so they were tired. The maid helped them back to their room to rest, and the other guests gradually said their goodbyes and went home. After seeing off all the guests, Mother Howard led Madison's family upstairs to show them her room. Originally, separate rooms were arranged for Quentin and Hannah, but Hannah insisted on sleeping in the same room as her brother. So, Mother Howard changed their accommodations to another room with bunk beds. However, this room was far from Madison's family's room. The bunk bedroom was next to Hank's room on the third floor. Mother Howard reminded Hank to listen for any sounds coming from the two little ones' room at night. Madison smiled at Hank and jokingly said, "Now it's up to you to take care of them tonight."
Hank patted his chest confidently and said, "No problem." Then, he turned to Quentin and Hannah and said, "If you need anything tonight, come find your uncle."
After settling into their rooms, Madison let Mother Howard and Matthew rest. They had been busy all day, and her brother had to report to work early the next morning. She took the two little ones to their room first. After they finished washing up, she took out their sleeping bags from the luggage and helped them change into them before leaving. Quentin slept on the top bunk, and Madison noticed that the guardrail was quite high. She reminded them a few more times before turning off the lights and going downstairs to her room.
Back in her room, Madison noticed that the bathroom door was closed, and she could hear the sound of running water. Matthew must be taking a shower. She turned her attention to the bed and saw that it was filled with gifts. Since they had just been shown around their room by their mom and hadn't had a chance to come in yet, they were busy helping the two little ones change rooms. Now, Madison realized that Mom had brought the gifts to her room, and she suddenly felt a headache coming from there. How were they going to get all these gifts with them? They still had to take the two little ones to the beach, and they couldn't possibly carry all these gifts along the way.
Matthew finished his shower and came out of the bathroom, noticing Madison lost in thought. "Madison, what's wrong?" he asked.
Madison turned her head and looked at the person who had just come out of the shower. He was bare-chested, wearing only a white towel wrapped around his waist, with half-dried hair. His exposed abs and abdominal muscles made Madison blush and her heart race, and she couldn't help but want to reach out and touch the scars on his chest. Blushing, Madison turned away and asked, "Why did you come out without clothes?" Matthew looked at Madison's blushing face, smirked, and couldn't help but tease her. He walked behind Madison, intentionally getting close to her body, and the heat from his shower surrounded Madison. Madison felt herself getting hotter. "You should put on some clothes first," she said.
"Madison, I forgot to bring clothes after taking a shower. Can you help me get some?" Matthew intentionally acted spoiled and blew hot air onto Madison's ear, causing her to shiver. Madison quickly ran away, then found Matthew's pajamas in the suitcase and handed them to him. She also took out her pajamas. Matthew took the pajamas and was about to unwrap the towel, but Madison, as if in slow motion, stared dumbfoundedly and then blurted out, "I'm going to take a shower," and ran into the bathroom as if flying. Matthew couldn't help but laugh behind her, his shoulders shaking. In fact, he was wearing underwear, not completely naked. Madison was really too cute and was scared like this.
