Chapter 366 Going to Seaspring Valley City

After Jimmy's matters were settled, Willow and Mitchell were set to board a plane to Seaspring Valley City. Mitchell had bought tickets for Wednesday early on, waiting to go back with Willow to see Father Nelson and Mother Nelson.

He had frequently met Willow's parents in his childhood. However, after they retired, they traveled around and settled in Seaspring Valley City, so they saw them less often. It was his first time going to see them as Willow's boyfriend, so he was a bit nervous.

When Daniel knew that Willow and Mitchell were going to Seaspring Valley City, he regretfully said, "I wish I had time to go with you to Seaspring Valley City for fun, but I've been too busy lately."

Willow replied with a smile, "We can go again next time."

"Sure, when you get engaged and married to Mitchell, there will definitely be an opportunity," Daniel said in a casual manner.

Willow blushed at the thought; she hadn't thought that far ahead.

For their early Wednesday flight, Mitchell had all their necessities shipped ahead due to the volume of items prepared by him and his parents. It wasn't convenient for the two of them to carry everything on the plane, so they had the items sent in advance to the address, which would arrive on Wednesday.

The flight took about two hours. Upon landing, Mitchell felt the temperature was slightly lower than in Horizon City, quite cool. When the breeze hit, he even felt a bit chilly. He took out a coat from his bag and put it on Willow. Then the two of them took a taxi directly back. The house Father Nelson and Mother Nelson bought was about half an hour's drive from the airport. When they arrived home, it was just in time for lunch.

Father Nelson and Mother Nelson had bought an independent courtyard near the university town, with a very good environment. The yard was full of vibrant flowers and plants.

The taxi stopped at the gate. The two of them got off with their luggage. Willow smiled at Mitchell and took his hand, leading him inside. Hearing them arrive, Father Nelson and Mother Nelson greeted them with smiles. Father Nelson was wearing an apron, looking like he was cooking.

Willow was very happy to see her parents. "Dad, Mom." Mitchell followed behind her. Although he was used to the grand scenes, this time, he was a bit reserved. "Hello, Mr. Nelson, Mrs. Nelson."

Father Nelson was an academic but often cooked for his family. Wearing an apron added a bit of liveliness to his appearance. With a smile on his face, he looked at Willow and Mitchell, nodding. "Go wash your hands first. We'll be eating soon."

Mother Nelson was exceptionally warm, taking her daughter and future son-in-law's hands and leading them into the house. "Come in, come in. You must be tired from the journey. Why didn't you call ahead? I would have gone to pick you up with your dad."

"Mrs. Nelson, it was convenient for us to take a taxi. It might have been difficult for you and Mr. Nelson to park," Mitchell explained to Mother Nelson. Mother Nelson nodded in satisfaction and joy. "Mitchell, you're always so considerate."

When they were young, the elders used to call Mitchell like this. Father Nelson's gentle smile and Mother Nelson's kind words eased some of the tension.

The four of them walked into the house together. Willow went straight to the dining table. She had smelled the delicious food from outside for a long time. Without washing her hands, she grabbed a piece of meat and put it in her mouth, mumbling, "Dad, your cooking skills are getting better and better. It's delicious."

Mother Nelson walked over and patted her hand. "Go wash your hands before eating." Willow acted completely like a child in front of her parents, sticking out her tongue and running to wash her hands.

Mother Nelson watched her retreating figure, muttering, "She's grown up but still acts like a child."

Mitchell's eyes followed Willow until she disappeared into the bathroom. Mother Nelson watched her future son-in-law's eyes glued to Willow and couldn't help but feel extremely happy.

She was very reassured handing Willow over to Mitchell.

At the dining table, Father Nelson had prepared a lot of delicious dishes, all of Willow's favorites. They had always pampered Willow since she was young, and Willow never caused them any worry. Father Nelson was happy and even brought out his private stash of good wine, insisting that Mitchell have a few drinks.

Father Nelson didn't drink much usually. After two glasses of wine, his cheeks were slightly flushed, and he started talking more, pulling Mitchell into the conversation as if it were a class. Mitchell was as obedient as the most serious student in his school, paying full attention and occasionally adding a few words.

The meal lasted for two hours. Mother Nelson and Willow finished early. Mother Nelson took her daughter to the room to make the bed. The sheets had been washed in advance, and the quilt had been sun-dried for several days, just brought in from the yard.

Willow smelled the sunshine in the quilt, feeling like she was back in her childhood. Her mother used to sun-dry the quilt for her often. Even now in Horizon City, her mother would remind her to take out the quilt to sun-dry when she called.

In the room, the mother and daughter could still hear Father Nelson's excited voice in the living room. After making the bed, Mother Nelson patted the edge of the bed, gesturing for Willow to sit down.

"Your dad is in a good mood today." Mother Nelson looked towards the living room where the two men were still drinking, smiling.

Willow followed her gaze and could see Mitchell sitting upright across from her father, nodding occasionally, listening to his "lecture." Feeling her gaze, Mitchell suddenly looked up, and their eyes met in a sweet smile.

Seeing Willow and Mitchell interact, Mother Nelson couldn't help but sigh, "Back then, your dad and I were thinking of waiting for you to graduate and then come to work in Seaspring Valley City. We wanted our family to stay here, but you went to intern at Matthew's company before you even graduated, without any intention of coming back."

Willow smiled as she hugged her mom. "I didn't want to disturb your private time with Dad."

"You know how to sweet-talk. You were just focused on Mitchell back then," Mother Nelson teased.

"Not really." Willow felt a bit embarrassed by her mother's words.

"But Mitchell is a good kid, mature and stable, caring for others. Since he was young, so many girls wanted to be Mrs. Jonah's daughter-in-law. I never expected you to win him over." Mother Nelson was a hundred percent satisfied with Mitchell. After knowing that the two kids were together, she even called Mother Jonah, who was eager to have Willow as her daughter-in-law.

"Mrs. Jonah called me last time and mentioned marriage. How do you and Mitchell feel about it?" Mother Nelson asked. Willow blushed and replied softly, "I'm still young."

But deep down, she was actually looking forward to marriage, just unsure of what Mitchell thought.
