Chapter 293 Willow Gets Drunk (2)

After speaking, Willow turned back to the shrimp in her bowl and the skewers on her plate. Her hands remained still, not reaching out, as she stared blankly at the food in front of her. Mitchell peeled another shrimp and offered it to her, noticing her lack of response. Concerned, he asked, "What's wrong? Why aren't you eating?"

Willow looked at Mitchell with a hint of sadness and suddenly burst into tears, "I can't eat the shrimp. I have no hands. How can I eat without hands?"

Mitchell was taken aback, his gaze shifting to her hands under the table, then back to the tearful girl. He felt a mix of emotions, unsure of what to do, but seeing her cry made his heartache. He quickly wiped his hands with a tissue, gently patted Willow's back, and offered, "Don't cry. Let me feed you, okay?" He then held the shrimp near her mouth and said, "Open up."

Willow stopped crying, her eyes glistening with tears. She obediently opened her mouth and took a bite, even managing to praise, "It's delicious."

Mitchell sighed softly, accepting the situation. With one hand, he fed her shrimp and used the other to wipe away her tears. After finishing the shrimp, he moved on to the skewers, carefully feeding Willow, showing the same care as one would for a child.

So, when Madison and Matthew walked out with their seafood and lamb skewers, they saw Willow not lifting a finger, only opening her mouth, while Mitchell continued to peel shrimp and feed her, never stopping. Madison was utterly shocked, her mouth agape, as she held a small bowl of shrimp, looking at Mitchell and Willow, then turning to Matthew, utterly perplexed.

Matthew shrugged, indicating he was just as clueless. After they all sat down, Madison saw Willow and Mitchell's interaction and couldn't help but ask, "Mitchell, what's going on with Willow?"

Mitchell placed the shrimp on the grill, brushed them with oil and barbecue sauce, occasionally glancing at Willow, and replied, "She had a bit too much to drink and can't find her hands."

Madison took a while to understand what Mitchell meant until Willow foolishly asked, "Madison, have you seen my hands?" It dawned on her that Willow was just being silly due to the alcohol. Madison smirked, glanced at Mitchell, then turned to Willow and said, "We'll look for them after we eat. Mitchell can help." She couldn't help but stifle a laugh as she leaned on Matthew's shoulder.

Madison never expected to see this side of Willow, nor did she expect Mitchell to be like this. These two were so entertaining together that she thought they were a perfect match, not just in appearance but also in temperament.

As if worried that Willow wouldn't eat enough, Mitchell grilled a whole plate of shrimp, peeled them, and fed her until she was full. Willow finally shook her head, "Mitchell, I'm full," and Mitchell stopped feeding her.

The last bit of beer was shared between Matthew and Mitchell, each finishing their cup. Madison ate the last oyster and put down her chopsticks. Quentin and Hannah, who had gone to watch a movie, didn't eat anymore, so Madison gave the last skewers to Matthew and Mitchell, who finished them without wasting a single bite.

After they had eaten and drunk their fill, the beach was no longer as crowded as before. The movie was still playing, but they were ready to go back and rest. Madison found Quentin and Hannah at the outdoor cinema, sitting on the ground in the front row, staring at the screen, completely engrossed as if it was their first time watching.

Madison quietly approached them and stood at the side of the screen. Quentin finally noticed his mother and whispered something to Hannah, who also looked at Madison. The two of them waved and greeted Madison. Madison gestured for them to come back, and the two clever little ones bent over and walked through the crowd.

"Mom, are we going back?" Hannah asked. Madison held one of their hands in each of hers and nodded, "Yes, it's getting late, and we have to catch a plane back to Horizon City tomorrow morning." The two little ones followed her without making a fuss.

Quentin held Madison's hand and looked up, "Mom, can we watch 'Up' again when we get back?"

"Of course, I'll play it for you tomorrow night after we return to Horizon City," Madison replied.

"Great, I want to watch it with Quentin," Hannah said, jumping with joy.

Matthew had been waiting and watching. When he saw Madison and the kids coming, he hurried over. Hannah ran up to him and said, "Daddy, hug me."

Matthew happily squatted down and lifted Hannah into his arms. The group slowly made their way back to the hotel.

Mitchell was originally supporting Willow, but she was walking unsteadily, so he simply carried her. Willow, who weighed over ninety pounds and was just over five feet tall, was actually quite light for Mitchell to carry. He took each step as steadily as possible. After all, he was carrying his beloved.

Willow lay quietly on Mitchell's back, her eyes closed, not knowing if she was asleep, but she didn't say a word, being extremely well-behaved. Madison walked behind them, looking at the silhouette of Mitchell and Willow, silently thinking that Willow was finally going to be happy.

After they arrived at the hotel, Madison and Matthew took the two little ones back to their room. Hannah must have been tired from playing as she fell asleep on Matthew's shoulder during the ten-minute journey. Madison also had to take care of Quentin and Hannah's washing up, but they both knew Mitchell and were confident in leaving Willow in his care.

"Mitchell, thank you for taking care of Willow," Madison said to Mitchell when they reached the door of the room.

Mitchell nodded at them and said, "Matthew, Madison, you should rest. I'll take good care of Willow."

Then, he carried Willow into her room.
