Chapter 533 One Month Celebration and Giving Out Money

Willow stayed in the hospital for a week after giving birth.

Every day, there were so many people came to visit her and the baby, such as college friends, colleagues from work, and many business partners due to Mitchell's connections.

Eventually, Mitchell announced that everyone should wait until the One Month Celebration to visit, which finally brought some peace.

Jessica and Patricia kept making different dishes for her.

Most of the time, the baby was taken care of by the postpartum nurse, Mitchell, and the two grandmothers.

Willow hardly held the baby at all, as the grandmothers insisted she should rest well and not rush to hold the baby, warning her that her arms might get sore later.

Willow looked at Mikey every day, eager to hold him.

At night, the grandmothers went home, and Mitchell sent the postpartum nurse home as well, staying to take care of Willow himself.

Willow stretched her neck, watching Mitchell hold the baby, her eyes sparkling with anticipation. "Honey, can I hold him for a bit?"

Her sweet, soft voice seemed to tickle Mitchell's heart.

He gently coaxed, "Let's wait a bit longer, okay?"

Then, he placed the baby next to Willow so she could get a good look.

Willow gazed at Mikey, who lay quietly with his eyes closed in his father's arms. Everything about him was so small, and he looked a lot like Mitchell. It was like seeing a baby version of Mitchell.

Willow smiled foolishly, reaching out to hold Mikey's tiny hand. "So cute."

After a pause, she added, "I gave birth to him."

Her tone was full of pride.

Mitchell looked at her, his eyes full of tenderness.

"Yes, honey, you're the best," he said, his voice soft and soothing, as if he were coaxing a child.

Willow still wanted to hold her son, so she started to act cute towards Mitchell again. "Honey, just let me hold him for a little longer, just a little bit. It’ll be fine."

Mitchell couldn't resist her plea and said helplessly, "Just for a little while, then I'll put him on the bed with you so you can sleep together for a while."

Willow's eyes lit up, and she nodded eagerly with a grin.

Mitchell carefully placed the baby in her arms, and Willow took him just as carefully.

He explained how to hold the baby comfortably. Over the past few days, he had learned a lot about baby care from the postpartum nurse and the grandmothers. He was so good at it that even the nurse said he didn't seem like a first-time dad.

Holding the baby, Willow felt touched and gently said to Mikey, "Baby, I'm your mommy."

Mitchell stood by the bed, watching his wife and child, feeling that his life was complete.

After a while, he took the baby and placed him on the bed next to Willow.

Mikey was very well-behaved, sleeping with his eyes closed the whole time, not crying at all, as if he knew his parents were by his side.

Mitchell sat by the bed, and the scene of the family of three was like the most beautiful painting.

Ethan's One Month Celebration was held at the same place where Mario's was held before, the rooftop banquet hall of the Imperial Hotel owned by Cheryl's family.

Mitchell and Willow initially planned to have a low-key celebration with just a few tables for relatives and friends. However, the news spread widely, and many people connected to JK or wanting to build a connection came uninvited. Those who missed Matthew's baby's One Month Celebration didn't want to miss Mitchell's baby's.

People kept showing up with gifts and smiles, so it was hard to turn them away.

The originally reserved tables were not enough, but fortunately, Cheryl's family was familiar with the hotel, and they managed to add more tables.

The One Month Celebration turned out to be lively and grand.

Although Mitchell had always said he wanted a daughter, he held Mikey the most after he was born. He was already gentle and elegant, but now, fatherhood brought out an even warmer, softer side, his face constantly lit up with a smile.

The female guests at the One Month Celebration couldn't help but take a few more glances at him.

Elizabeth leaned over to Willow's ear and said bluntly, "Mr. Jonah is even hotter as a dad, don't you think? I've never seen him smile so much. He's absolutely charming. Look at how he's captivating everyone."

Willow looked up with a smile.

Mitchell was holding their son and chatting with someone, wearing the familiar smile she loved. He really was handsome.

Elizabeth continued, "By the way, you've recovered so well and so quickly. It's only been a month, and you look like you're back to your pre-pregnancy state."

She circled Willow, examining her seriously. "No, you look even better than before, so radiant. You don't look like someone who just had a baby at all. It's amazing!"

Willow had indeed recovered well. She looked relaxed and comfortable.

The food prepared by the grandmothers was balanced and nutritious.

Although Willow ate a lot, she didn't gain weight, possibly because she was breastfeeding. Instead, she lost weight quickly.

On the day of the One Month Celebration, colleagues who attended gave gifts, and Mitchell later gave out money in the company group chat, so almost everyone got back the money they had given, if not more.

Jimmy also came to the party, as did Cox's mom, who was a friend of Patricia. He didn't come with Cox's mother. He arrived late, just as everyone was heading out.

Mitchell saw him as he was seeing off guests at the door and invited him upstairs to the banquet hall.

Willow and the baby were still upstairs, and there were still guests downstairs, so Mitchell didn't go up with Jimmy.

Jimmy walked in and saw Willow standing by the stage, smiling brightly. Someone next to her was holding a baby, and she was happily playing with the child.

He smiled, thinking to himself how Willow, who still seemed like a child herself, was now a mother. He walked towards her.

The hotel staff were cleaning up the tables and chairs, and there weren't many people left in the banquet hall.

Willow was focused on the baby and didn't notice Jimmy until he got closer.

She looked at him in surprise. "When did you get back? Why are you so late? You missed the food."

Jimmy smiled and handed her the bag he was carrying.

Willow took it, puzzled, and asked, "What's this?"

Jimmy, still smiling like the sunny boy he was when they first met, said, "A little gift for the baby."
