Chapter 227 Departure

After the call connected, Madison confirmed the number of rooms with Nicholas. He had arranged for them to stay in the largest standalone villa, which had a total of 10 rooms. Madison was ecstatic about everyone being able to stay together.

Nicholas mentioned that he also invited Rachel to come along. Madison couldn't help but feel suspicious. She remembered that Nicholas had mentioned Rachel as the one to inform him about finding her biological parents as well. "Nicholas, is there something between you and Rachel?" If they really had a connection, Madison would be happy. One was Matthew, who took care of her when she was young, and the other was her sister, who had been by her side during her most difficult times. If they really did like each other, would she be considered a matchmaker? She found herself looking forward to it.

"I introduced her to a few clients before, so we got to know each other. She came to visit Quentin and Hannah when I came back last time, but you weren't there. We took care of them together for a few days." Nicholas casually explained, intentionally avoiding mentioning Rachel's situation to Madison.

"Okay." Madison realized she had been overthinking.

"I also called Rachel during the day. She said she needed to figure out the timing because she had an appointment with a client. Can she join us for sure? That would be great."

"Yes, she should be able to. So, tomorrow, you guys can drive directly there, and I'll wait for you there in advance," Nicholas suggested.

"Sounds good."

After ending the call with Nicholas, Madison called Rachel again.

Matthew held Madison from behind, surprised that she hadn't finished yet. He deliberately spoke in her ear, his warm breath tickling her. Madison moved away, trying to avoid the ticklish sensation. "You haven't finished making the call?" The voice of a man who had been ignored all night sounded aggrieved.

Madison's attention was still focused on the phone. Rachel had yet to answer the call, which confused Madison. Was she taking a shower? She shouldn't be asleep this early.

"You've been busy all day. Rest now," Matthew said as he pulled her into his arms. His hands slipped under Madison's pajamas and gently caressed her waist.

Since Rachel didn't answer the phone, Madison sent her a Facebook message, asking her to join them tomorrow and suggesting they take two cars so they could fit all the luggage.

Just as Madison put down her phone, Matthew suddenly flipped her over and pressed her onto the bed. He had already undone most of the buttons on her pajamas. "Wife," Matthew said, his hands on either side of her, his voice trailing off with suppressed emotions. Madison smirked and playfully asked, "What's wrong?"

"You've been neglecting me for days," the man above said in a magnetic voice, expressing his grievances. Madison playfully punched his chest with a tiny fist, smiling.

Matthew slowly lowered his body and kissed the mischievous woman beneath him. The kisses started gentle, becoming more intense and passionate, full of deep affection and intimacy.

On a summer night, a few stars twinkled in the black sky.

Inside the room, an intimate scene unfolded.

The following day, Madison almost couldn't get up. She was too tired. She realized she shouldn't have exhausted herself when she had to wake up early the next day. Since they would all be driving separately, she sent them the address, and they would meet at the vacation resort.

It was when Madison woke up that she saw Rachel's reply to her Facebook message from the night before. Rachel said she wouldn't join them and would come over by herself. What Madison didn't know was that when Rachel sent her the Facebook message, she was already lying on the large bed in the villa at the resort. After work, she saw Nicholas' car parked downstairs at the studio, and he insisted on giving her a ride home. Once they arrived, he forced her to pack her bags and brought her to the resort overnight.

Because they had a lot of luggage, Matthew drove one car, and Hank drove another. After having breakfast, the family set off.

Mitchell woke up early and saw his older brother, Daniel, wearing a black casual suit and eating breakfast. President Jonah Violet was out for a morning exercise and didn't pay attention to the siblings. Daniel finished getting ready and walked into the dining room with a bun in his hand. "Brother, why are you up so early?" They had agreed to meet at the resort at 10 am, so it was still early. Mitchell ignored her question as he ate his dumplings, and Daniel didn't mind. She thought to herself that having a brother was great because she didn't have to do anything; she would have breakfast as soon as she woke up. She felt delighted. She also thought she probably wouldn't find a husband, considering she had her brother as a benchmark. Everyone else fell short, whether it was in looks, temperament, or earning money. She believed that if she couldn't get married, it would be her brother's responsibility.

Mitchell brought down their suitcases from upstairs and carried them to the door, preparing to put them in the car. Daniel watched her brother's busy actions while she leisurely enjoyed her breakfast. She couldn't help but feel grateful for having a brother. "Brother, I'm in no rush. It's still early," said Daniel. "I am in a rush," Mitchell replied, promptly opening the car door and sitting in the driver's seat.

Daniel was startled and quickly finished her bun. "Wait for me, Brother," she said. She hurriedly went back into the house to grab her bag, then returned and jumped into the car in two minutes.

Mitchell sat in the driver's seat and looked at the open gate of their villa. He sighed, "The door is open, and there's no one at home." Daniel turned to look and noticed that their front gate was indeed open. Their parents have yet to come back from their morning exercise. Daniel forgot about it when she saw her brother about to leave in a hurry. She quickly got out of the car, closed the gate, and then they set off.

In the car, Daniel turned on the radio and curiously asked, "Why are you in such a hurry?" Mitchell replied, "To pick someone up." Daniel tilted her head and thought for a moment. They had already arranged for Willow to go with Brother Five's car. She couldn't think of anyone else they needed to pick up. "Who are we picking up?" she asked.

"We're picking up Ella. She's coming with us," Mitchell answered. Daniel, who was about to spray sunscreen from her bag, froze in place upon hearing Mitchell's words.
What happened last night? She just didn't come home for dinner. Why is she now saying that Ella wants to go together?
