Chapter 534 Uncle

Willow took the bag and initially wanted to set it aside, but Jimmy smirked and said, "Aren't you going to open it?"

Willow smiled and, without further ado, took out the box from the bag.

As she unwrapped the gift for her son, she said, "I just feel a bit embarrassedopening a gift right in front of you, you know?"

"Hey, I'm not just anyone,I'm Uncle Jimmy. Of course, you should open it in front of me," Jimmy said with a grin.

When Willow heard Jimmy call himself 'Uncle Jimmy', she paused for a moment, then beamed at Ethan, who was being held by the postpartum nurse, and said, "Let's see what Uncle Jimmy got for Mikey."

She then opened the gift box in her hands.

When she saw what was inside the box, she was visibly stunned, her eyes widening.

The gift was similar to what her two moms had given.

Willow looked up at Jimmy, then back down at the box.

Jimmy, smiling, said, "What's wrong? Too tacky?"

Willow smiled and nodded, replying bluntly, "It is quite tacky, just like my moms' taste."

Jimmy had given Ethan a set of pure gold pendants and bracelets.

Giving gold was indeed a generous gesture.

"Gold is great. My cousin's kids all wear these little gold bracelets. Aren't they pretty?" Jimmy said with a smirk.

Willow put the box back in the bag and smiled, "Jimmy, thank you, on behalf of my son."

She hadn't expected someone Jimmy's age to give gold as a gift, which was quite surprising and completely unexpected.

"Don't mention it," Jimmy said with a wide grin.

He then approached Ethan, reaching out to hold his little hand. "Is his name Mikey?"

Willow nodded. "Yes, his nickname is Mikey, and his full name is Ethan Jonah."

Ethan, in the postpartum nurse's arms, looked at the stranger in front of him with wide eyes and suddenly smiled at Jimmy.

Both Willow and Jimmy were momentarily taken aback by this.

Jimmy smiled at Ethan and said, "Looks like Mikey likes me a lot."

He then took out some cash from his pocket and placed it in Ethan's arms, saying, "Your mom said my gift was too tacky, so let's go all the way with it."

Willow tried to return the cash, saying, "What are you doing? You've already given a gift. Why give money too?"

"The cash was prepared in advance. It was always meant to be given," Jimmy said matter-of-factly, his eyes still on Ethan, playing with the baby.

After a while, he saw Mitchell walking in from the banquet hall entrance.

Jimmy checked his watch; it was getting late.

"Alright, I should be going," he said to Willow.

Willow, remembering she hadn't asked if he had eaten. "Did you have dinner? Should I ask the hotel to make you some pasta? Why didn't you come earlier with Mrs. Cox?"

"I had a big meal outside earlier. Who hasn't eaten by this time of night?" Jimmy replied.

By then, Mitchell had reached them.

Willow saw Mitchell and bounced over to hold his hand, telling him about Jimmy's gift. She didn't know the two had already met downstairs.

Mitchell looked at her indulgently and nodded with a smile. "Yes, we ran into each other downstairs."

He then looked at Jimmy.

Jimmy also nodded with a smile. "Yes, I met him downstairs. He was seeing off guests and told me to come up first."

Willow had a look of sudden realization.

After Mitchell arrived, Jimmy didn't stay much longer. He greeted them and left.

Mitchell watched him leave, then turned to Willow and said, "Let's go find our parents."

"Okay," Willow replied with a smile, then turned to look in the direction Jimmy had left before turning back to Mitchell with a silly grin.

"What's up?" Mitchell asked.

"Nothing. Just thinking you're really handsome, honey," Willow rarely complimented Mitchell so directly.

Mitchell suddenly stopped, cupped the back of her head, and kissed her. When he felt she was unsteady, he let go and huskily whispered in her ear, "Don't flirt with me in public again."

Willow's legs went weak, and she almost couldn't stand. She clung tightly to Mitchell's arm and nodded vigorously.

She wouldn't dare do it again.

Most of the other guests had also left. Business partners were the majority, and Victor, Liam, and Patrick had all helped see them off. Afterward, the three of them also left.

Matthew and Madison's family had left earlier because they had William and three kids with them, so they couldn't stay too long. After dinner and a performance, Matthew took his family home.

Quentin and Hannah had a great time playing with a few kids of similar age who had come to the One Month Celebration. When it was time to leave, they were reluctant to part and insisted that Matthew exchange phone numbers with their new friends before saying goodbye.

Mitchell and Willow went to the hotel room where they had stored the gifts.

Jessica, Richard and Patricia were organizing things, and Danielle was helping move all the gifts to the car. Cheryl was also helping.

By the time Mitchell and Willow arrived, most of the work was done. After everything was packed up, Mitchell and his family took the star of the day, Ethan, home.

The most sensational part of today's One Month Celebration was actually the dance performance by Mitchell, Matthew, and a few others.

Many people recorded videos and uploaded them online, making it a hot topic that night.

No one expected the executives of JK Group to be such good dancers, and they danced so well.

Mitchell ended up stealing the thunder from his son.

On the way home, the postpartum nurse took the baby in a car with Jessica and the others, saying it was to let Mitchell and Willow have some alone time tonight, and they would take care of the baby.

Willow sat in the passenger seat, chattering to Mitchell about the online comments and the funny things Ethan did that night.

She mentioned that Mitchell had been too busy socializing and performing to spend much time with their son.

Now, listening to his wife vividly describe everything, Mitchell was thoroughly enjoyed.

Looking at the person beside him, who had once followed him around as a babbling toddler and was now his wife and the mother of his child, he felt a sense of completeness that made him feel like the happiest person in the world.

Mitchell listened attentively to Willow, smiling without saying much.

It wasn't until Willow had talked for a while that she realized Mitchell hadn't said much today.

"Honey, why aren't you talking today?" she asked.

The car stopped at the gate of The Jonah Residence.

Mitchell turned to Willow. "Listening to you makes me happy."

Willow playfully glared at him and was about to open the car door when Mitchell called her, "Honey."

"What's up?" Willow paused and turned back.

"Thank you. For loving me, for giving birth to Mikey. I will love you more than you love me." Mitchell's sudden declaration of love made Willow a bit shy.

Willow couldn't think of a better response, so she leaned in, kissed Mitchell's beautiful lips, then opened the car door and jumped out.

Mitchell, left stunned in the car, watched her run towards the house and smiled.

Willow was actually his whole world.
