Chapter 225 How Did She Get Here?

Willow got off the elevator and went straight to the parking garage, where she got in Matthew's car. They left together. The two vehicles were parked next to each other, and Willow rolled down the passenger-side window and waved. "Mitchell, see you tomorrow."

Mitchell smirked. "See you tomorrow." Then he opened the door of his car and got in; he was going back to President Jonah and Violet's place today.

Matthew's car left first, with Mitchell following behind. The two luxury cars drove out of the parking garage.

Mitchell's parents' house was close to JK Group, and he arrived home in half an hour. He drove into the villa, parked the car, and opened the door, but then he froze. He saw Ella wearing his mother's apron, holding a dish, just coming out of his own kitchen.

Violet followed closely behind from the kitchen, and when she saw Mitchell standing at the entrance, she immediately smiled and said, "You're back; wash your hands, and let's eat."

Mitchell frowned and looked at Ella, wondering why she was there. He asked directly, "What are you doing here?"

Ella stood by the dining table, her face stiffening, suddenly feeling extremely embarrassed.

Violet immediately became unhappy upon hearing Mitchell's words. "I called Ella, and she came right away when she received the call. She helped me transplant the garden, but she was busy all afternoon. Unlike you, she was always busy with work and never at home."

Mitchell hung up his coat and silently walked into the dining room while Violet continued to praise Ella, seeming very satisfied with this prospective daughter-in-law. "Ella is really obedient and well-behaved. Look, last time I mentioned that you like steak, and she immediately went to learn how to make it. Today, she insisted on cooking herself and wanted you to have a taste."

Ella felt a bit embarrassed by Violet's compliments. She looked at Mitchell walking toward her, revealing a shy and delicate demeanor. Ella, who used to have no experience in cooking, decided to learn how to make this dish from a chef outside, just to please Mitchell.

She had just walked out of the JK Group building empty-handed when she received a call from Violet asking her to come home for dinner. She came straight here in a taxi. She had been with Violet all afternoon and overheard Violet calling Mitchell with no response. Violet then sent a message on Facebook to ask him to come back for dinner. Ella knew that Mitchell would definitely listen to Violet and come back for dinner, so she volunteered to make a dish for Mitchell to try personally.

Mitchell sat down on the chair while Ella remained standing beside him. Violet greeted her and told her to sit down and have dinner. Tonight, President Jonah's dad was not home, as he had gone out with friends, and Daniel had also not returned. Therefore, it was just the three of them having dinner. Mitchell noticed that Ella had not moved and finally looked up and said, "Sit down and eat."

"Sure." Ella smiled and finally sat down next to him. She pushed the plate of steak she had cooked in front of Mitchell and said, "Taste it and see how it tastes. It's my first time cooking." She looked at Mitchell expectantly.

Violet sat across from them and also stared at Mitchell. "Go ahead and give it a try. Ella spent an hour preparing everything."

Mitchell picked up his fork, took a bite of the steak, and gave a two-word evaluation, "Not bad."

Ella breathed a sigh of relief and then served a piece to Violet. "Aunty, you should taste it too."

"Alright, if even my son says it's good, then it must be delicious. He's quite picky." Violet looked at both of them with a wide smile.

"Really?" Ella secretly glanced at Mitchell and found that he was too focused on eating to care about what they were saying. She felt a bit disappointed. But then, she suddenly became excited. She felt a sense of accomplishment in taming this problematic man. Ella thought it was simple since both families believed they were in love. As long as she was willing, getting engaged and married would be a natural progression. If she took the initiative, she was confident that she could win over this man.

She didn't care about what was going on between him and Willow. All she knew was that she wanted this man for herself!

During the dinner, Ella continued to chat with Violet, keeping her entertained. Only Mitchell remained silent on the side.

After finishing a bowl of food, Mitchell put down his fork. "I'm full. You can take your time."

Violet held him back, not letting him leave the table. "Wait, don't go to work tomorrow morning."

Mitchell raised an eyebrow. "Why?" He didn't understand what his mother was planning this time.

Violet happily took out two tickets. "Here, I've already bought the tickets for you. Take Ella to watch a play tomorrow morning. I've already asked Ella, and she's available. You dummy, when you're dating a girl, don't you know how to ask her out and have fun? All you do is work and make money. Can all that money help you have a child?"

Upon hearing Violet mention having a child, Ella couldn't help but blush. Surprisingly, she found herself looking forward to having a child with Mitchell. She had never thought about having children before, thinking they were bothersome. But if they were to have a child similar to Mitchell, it wouldn't be so bad.

Mitchell furrowed his brow, feeling powerless to refute his mother's actions. "I have other plans tomorrow," he said.

"What plans? Tell me," Violet said unhappily, her face growing cold as she questioned him.

"I'm going out with Matthew and Sister tomorrow. Daniel is also coming along. You can ask her if you don't believe me. It was planned a long time ago," Mitchell patiently tried to convince his mother.

"Perfect. Don't bother going to the play. I'll go with your father. You can take Ella with you. Since you're all going out together, there's no need for anything else besides having fun," Violet decided for him in a sweeping motion.

Ella watched Mitchell silently from the side. "Aunty, Mitchell and his friends are going out to play. Maybe I shouldn't go. We're not familiar with each other, and I'm afraid it'll be awkward if I suddenly join in."

"What's there to worry about? Those are all his childhood friends. Young people get familiar with each other by going out a few times. It's alright, let him take you along to have some fun," Violet insisted on having Mitchell take Ella with him.

Ella heard that they were Mitchell's childhood friends, so she really wanted to go. This was an opportunity to win over the man in front of her and integrate into his social circle, starting with his friends.

Mitchell rubbed his head. Only President Jonah could handle Violet's temper. He sighed helplessly. "If you have time, then let's go together."
