Chapter 215 Taking Parents to Horizon City
Madison looked at Dorian, who seemed so confident, and couldn't help but have some doubt. "Dorian, are you sure you can do it?"
"Dorian is a pilot; of course, he can drive a car." Dorian thought driving was no big deal.
Mr. Sterling had already put Quentin and Hannah in the car, and Mrs. Sterling got in too. "Dorian can drive," Mrs. Sterling said.
Hearing Mrs. Sterling's words, Madison felt relieved. She expected Dorian to be more skilled. She got in the car and sat down, with Matthew in the passenger seat. The car was just enough for seven people.
Following Matthew's plan from last night, Madison took the Sterling couple to visit the attractions first. It was their first time in Horizon City, and they really liked the feeling there. Mrs. Sterling even suggested that Mr. Sterling buy a house in Horizon City. Mr. Sterling and Dorian were quite frightened by the idea.
Madison and Matthew didn't think they needed to buy a house specifically. After all, they could live in their own home. The Sterling couple could come over and stay whenever they wanted, for however long they wanted.
The two of them walked at the back. Madison remembered that her alarm didn't go off in the morning, so she casually said, "Why didn't you wake me up in the morning? I overslept because the alarm didn't go off."
Matthew glanced at her and said, "I turned off the alarm for you."
Madison looked puzzled. "Why?"
Matthew smirked and paused momentarily before replying, "You were too tired last night, so I let you sleep a little longer."
Blushing, Madison playfully punched Matthew's chest with her fist and said, "It's all your fault."
Matthew naturally held her hand, smiling with his eyes and lips. He leaned down and whispered in her ear, "Yes, it's my fault. I'll try not to make you oversleep next time."
The warm breath from his lips tickled her ear, making Madison blush even more. She freed her hands and ran up to catch up with her parents. Matthew stood in place, smiling brightly. He had a really charming smile, which caught the attention of a passing young lady.
Madison saw that he hadn't caught up with them, so she turned around and took a look. She found him smiling at her, and she smiled back. She reached out her hand, signaling him to come. It was only then that Matthew picked up his pace and quickly caught up. As he got closer, he heard his daughter asking Madison, "Mom, why is your face so red?"
Matthew approached and held Madison's outstretched hand, answering for her, "Mom feels a little hot. How about going for ice cream later?"
Hannah was extremely happy.
They had lunch in Horizon City, enjoying the local cuisine. They randomly picked a restaurant and unexpectedly found the food to be very tasty. Fresh vegetables, chicken, and fish were all delicious due to the fresh ingredients. Quentin and Hannah, who usually did not drink soup, each had two bowls.
In the afternoon, the family went on a wetland boat tour. It was Mrs. Sterling's first time on this kind of boat, and she was excited like a child. She insisted on striking poses so that Mr. Sterling could take photos of her. Mr. Sterling was afraid she would fall, so he held her hand while trying to take photos with his phone, but it exhausted him.
In the evening, Matthew made a restaurant reservation and prepared some signature dishes for the Sterling couple. By the end of the day, he had won Mr. and Mrs. Sterling over, and they were very pleased with Matthew.
The day's activities concluded, and they returned to the villa at 9 PM. After a day of playing outside, everyone was a little tired, especially Quentin and Hannah. They had been full of energy during the day but fell asleep on the way back. Dorian's driving skills were indeed good and steady. After parking the car at the villa, Quentin woke up. Hand in hand with the Sterling couple, they walked into the house.
Hannah didn't wake up, so Matthew got out of the car to carry her back to her room. He originally thought Hannah probably wouldn't wake up, so he let her sleep first and planned to deal with it when she woke up. Unexpectedly, as soon as he placed her on the bed, she woke up, rubbing her eyes and asking, "Dad, are we home?" Hannah was still a bit sleepy and asked tiredly.
Matthew looked at Hannah with a gentle expression. "Yes, Hannah. Are you still sleepy? How about getting up, freshening up, and then going back to sleep?"
Hannah nodded, rolled over, and got up. Matthew took her to the bathroom, poured water for her, prepared the towel, and squeezed toothpaste for her. He stood by as she washed her face and brushed her teeth, then took her back to the room, changed her into pajamas, and only left after she fell asleep.
When he came out, he ran into Madison in the hallway. She must have come out of Quentin's room. "Is Hannah asleep?" Madison asked softly. Matthew nodded.
Madison nodded. No wonder Matthew had not come downstairs for such a long time. Quentin just fell asleep, too. I told my parents and Dorian to go back to their rooms and rest. We've walked so much today, and Dorian has been driving all day. Everyone is tired."
"Yes, they can rest at home tomorrow morning. If the Sterling couple wants to go out in the afternoon, they can go to the nearby botanical garden."
"Okay, I'll ask my parents in the morning."
Matthew held Madison's hand as they walked back to their room, discussing along the way.
After returning to the room, Madison asked Matthew to shower first. She mysteriously said she had something to do. Matthew didn't ask her and took his pajamas to the bathroom. When he finished showering and came out, he saw Madison leaning on the desk, drawing. She was unusually focused, not even noticing when Matthew came behind her.
Matthew walked up behind her and noticed that she was drawing a clothing design. He also knew about Madison's work. She had a studio for fashion design, and Madison had won awards in clothing design competitions. She was talented.
Wiping his hair, Matthew casually asked, "Are you busy with work?"
Madison was so engrossed that she got startled. She patted her chest and turned to see Matthew. Smiling, she handed him the almost finished draft in her hand. "Take a look, what do you think?"
Matthew took it and carefully looked at it before giving his evaluation. "How old is the client? It seems more suitable for someone older." He needed to understand fashion design but said it was based on intuition.
Madison took the design back with a smile. "It's for Mom. Do you think it suits her?"
Matthew raised an eyebrow, realizing it was for Mrs. Sterling. Make it a bit younger. Mrs. Sterling doesn't look old."
"Really?"
"Yes."
