Chapter 346 The Proposal Ceremony

Madison covered her mouth with one hand, tears that had just been wiped away by Matthew now falling again. She was completely overwhelmed by this huge surprise, her whole being devoid of reaction, just watching the man kneeling in front of her with tears streaming down her face.

"Madison, hurry up and say yes. We're all anxious here." Patrick chuckled, urging from the side.

Only then did Madison come to her senses and prepared to help Matthew up.

Matthew looked at her affectionately, saying with a hint of grievance, "You haven't said yes yet."

Madison couldn't help but burst into laughter at his words. This man was really...

She looked at Matthew with lowered eyes, and nodded earnestly and solemnly, her gentle voice ringing out. "I do."

‘Why wouldn't I marry you? You’re the father of my two children, my husband, and the man I fell in love with at first sight. You’re my only love in this lifetime,’ thought Madison.

After she nodded, Matthew stood up, and handed the bouquet of champagne roses to her, who embraced the large bunch of roses with a smile on her face. Tears of joy welled up as she listened to the blessings from those around her.

She had never imagined such a ceremony, never expected it before, especially since they had already registered their marriage, and their two children were already grown. So She had never thought that a proposal would happen to her.

They were already married, who would have thought of a proposal?

But Matthew gave her a sense of ceremony, a huge surprise, fulfilling all her teenage fantasies, satisfying her in every way.

‘And when did he learn to play the piano? I have never known,’ Madison wondered in her heart. ‘A partner who is willing to give and change for you, isn't that someone you could spend your life with?’

It turned out that even if it was unexpected, when one truly experienced it, it could bring indescribable joy and happiness.

Matthew held Madison's hand, and Madison held his hand tightly, too. Her tearful eyes fixed on Matthew, reluctant to look away.

Matthew also looked at her with indulgence, wiping her tears away, teasing softly. "If you keep crying, you'll turn ugly."

Madison smiled and gently nestled into his embrace. She didn't want to cry, didn't want to shed tears, but she just couldn't help it. She was too moved by the huge surprise he prepared.

"It's all your fault for not telling me in advance. I had no mental preparation at all." She pouted.

"If I told you in advance, it wouldn't be a surprise," Matthew smirked, then turned to Madison. "You don't need to prepare anything. I've got it all."

The group next to them started cheering directly, Matthew's confession made everyone get goosebumps. They didn't expect him to be so romantic. Indeed, they hadn't expected him to be two different people before and after marriage.

Mitchell, Liam, and Nicholas all looked at the woman next to them at the same time. It was said that marriage was the grave of love, but for them, if they all met the right person, they would be willing to accept it happily.

Willow stood next to Mitchell, tears streaming down her face as well. Her eyes were red with joy for Matthew and her sister-in-law, Madison.

Mitchell stood beside her, embracing her, patting her shoulder gently, and comforting her silently. In his mind, he thought, 'She's so moved seeing others get proposed. If she were proposed to... I guess she would cry a total mess... Sigh, it's really worrying. What should I do when I propose to her in the future? I need to surprise her, but I don't want her to cry too much.' He felt like he had encountered a huge dilemma of the century.

After the joyful ceremony, the group of people went to Mitchell's bar to celebrate.

It had been a long time since they had all come together, and the bar was exceptionally lively tonight, with almost all the seats on the first floor taken, so they went straight to the private room on the second floor.

Patrick arranged for two expensive bottles of foreign liquor and some fruit wine, claiming it was on him. Since Mitchell had given him an unlimited card, they could drink as much as they wanted without paying.

The private room had a great view, allowing them to see the performances on the stage downstairs, with lively music and dancing.

Patrick and Daniel, in high spirits from the drinks, insisted on going downstairs to dance, Ophelia and Willow followed suit, and Mitchell and Liam naturally joined in.

Mitchell's bar usually attracted celebrities and directors for relaxation and entertainment, as the membership requirements were high and the general public couldn't enter. Combined with excellent security and confidentiality, the business had always been booming.

Everyone was used to seeing various big-name celebrities, and Ophelia didn't need to hide or avoid anything here, she could enjoy herself freely, so she always liked to join Liam's gatherings.

Nicholas and Rachel also joined in the fun, leaving the space to themselves for Matthew and Madison. After the group left the private room, the two of them sat snuggled together on the sofa.

Madison felt light and joyful all evening.

Matthew turned to her. "Do you want to go down with them?"

Madison tilted her head and looked at him. "Are you going?"

Matthew smiled at her, shook his head, and said, "Let's go home." He wanted some alone time with her.

Upon hearing this, Madison sat up a bit wobbly. She had drunk quite a bit, and tonight was just too happy, she had no control. They all came to toast her, and she drank it all.

Matthew was also made to drink several glasses of liquor by them, and when he realized it, Madison was already a bit tipsy, looking at him with a confused smile, acting cute.

Now, looking at the shy and rosy face in his arms, he suddenly changed his mind and wanted to take her home.

Although Madison managed to sit up, her body was still soft as she leaned against Matthew, her eyes wide open as she asked, "Is it okay?"

"Of course, just send a message to the group." Matthew stood up directly, took Madison's hand, and they prepared to leave. "Let's go. We're going home."

"Home," Madison replied with a blush on her face.

Originally, Matthew was going to carry her, but Madison, a bit tipsy, was now being a bit cute and insisted on wobbling down the stairs herself. Matthew walked behind her, holding her hands and carefully guiding her, constantly reminding her, "Slow down. Watch your step."

Madison obediently raised her head and replied, "Okay." Then the two of them left hand in hand, chatting and laughing together.

As they passed by the bar downstairs, it was still lively and noisy, with a festive atmosphere, music, and dancing, and screams constantly heard.

But at this moment, they wanted the tranquility that belonged to just the two of them, eager to go home.
