Chapter 271 A Sense of Crisis
On the way to dinner and during the meal, the boy took many photos with his camera. Before parting ways, he mentioned organizing the images and sending them to Madison's email.
The second day by the seaside was still warm and beautiful. After dinner and returning to the hotel, Rachel's Facebook video call came in. She chatted with the two kids for a while, Quentin and Hannah eager to share their fun experiences at the beach. Rachel laughed, saying, "It sounds like so much fun; I'm so envious."
Hannah held her phone, and Quentin leaned in close. "Come quickly. We're waiting for you at the beach." Hannah innocently invited Rachel to play with them.
Rachel laughed heartily. "Alright, let me check for available flights. If I find one, I'll come find you guys."
"Great, check for flights quickly. I'll take you surfing. It's so much fun, right Quentin?" Hannah said, turning to Quentin to confirm her statement. Quentin vigorously nodded in agreement.
After chatting for a while, Madison took the phone. "Rachel, how are you all doing? You must be busy. Take care," Madison asked, knowing that with the orders from friends and family, Rachel must be quite busy. She had organized everything and estimated it would be finished at the end of the year, so Rachel and her group must have been quite busy lately.
"Everyone is thrilled because business is doing well, and there are more bonuses," Rachel said with a smile. "Oh, Madison, I received feedback from the client regarding the design you sent me. There are a few small details that may need to be modified. The client has some ideas of their own. I have organized everything and sent it to your email. Take the time to review it when you have the chance. It's not urgent, so take your time."
"Okay, I'll look at the client's ideas and make the necessary changes before sending it back to you," Madison said as she opened her computer. Even though Rachel said it wasn't urgent, Madison's personality was a bit impatient. When there was something that needed to be done, she couldn't wait and wanted to handle it right away. After ending the video call with Rachel, she immediately opened her email and carefully read the message Rachel sent, then took out her design draft to start making revisions.
While Madison was revising the draft, Matthew took it upon himself to take care of their two children. Although the two little ones were independent enough, just turning on the TV for them was enough. Matthew stayed with them without leaving.
After a while, Willow also made a video called. Quentin and Hannah stopped watching TV and chatted with their auntie for over half an hour. In the end, Madison had to come over to remind them to take a bath before reluctantly ending the call.
Madison spent an hour revising the design draft before sending it back to Rachel. When she finished, she found that Matthew had already taken the two children back to their room to sleep.
As she saw Matthew coming out of the children's room, she hurriedly approached him, hugged him, and kissed him on the cheek, smiling with stars in her eyes. "Honey, thank you."
Matthew hugged Madison back and said in a slightly resentful tone, "Are you doing this on purpose?" When Madison understood what Matthew meant, her face turned red. "I'll make it up to you when we get home." Matthew's eyes noticeably lit up after hearing this, and he unconsciously tightened his hold on Madison's hand. "You said it. You can't deceive me." Madison, feeling a bit embarrassed, nodded in agreement. "Okay."
Unable to resist, Matthew kissed her forehead with a slight smile on his lips. "What should we do? I really want to go home now." Madison escaped from his arms and crouched down. "I'm not going to talk to you anymore. I'm going to take a shower." Then she ran into the bathroom like a streak of smoke.
After she finished her shower, she realized that she hadn't brought anything with her, and her pajamas were still outside. She couldn't possibly go out naked. Ultimately, she reluctantly asked Matthew to bring them in for her.
Matthew found her pajamas and took them to the bathroom door. He knocked on the door and waited outside. Madison opened the door slightly and saw her clothes, so she quickly took them inside and closed the door. Matthew stood outside the door and didn't leave. He could vaguely see Madison putting on her clothes through the bathroom door. He couldn't help but darken his eyes. The anger that he had just suppressed suddenly resurfaced. His voice was hoarse and deep, with a hint of sexiness. "I'm sure now. You did it on purpose." Madison was busy putting on her clothes in the bathroom, listening to Matthew's words outside the door. She asked in a daze, "Matthew, what did you say? What did I do on purpose?" As soon as she finished speaking, she opened the door and saw Matthew still standing outside. She looked into his deep eyes and felt like she was being pulled into a whirlpool, as if her whole body was being sucked in.
Matthew looked at Madison, who was already wearing her pajamas. The scent of shower gel filled the air, the same as the scent on her body. He stared at Madison with his eyes and slowly said, "You deliberately seduced me~"
Madison's face turned red. She couldn't tell if it was because she had just taken a shower or because she was embarrassed. "I didn't," she said quickly, then hurriedly came out of the bathroom and hid under the blanket. She covered her entire head with the blanket and secretly thought, "Oh no, I never seduced Matthew. It was clearly me who was almost seduced by Matthew."
After finishing the video call with Quentin and Hannah, Willow immediately received a call from Mitchell, and his voice seemed a little anxious. "Willow, are you okay? Why couldn't I reach you just now?"
Willow explained that she was chatting with Quentin and Hannah on the video call. "These two little ones have been telling me how much fun they had and what delicious things they ate."
After hearing her explanation, Mitchell felt a little relieved and then spoke in a low voice on the phone, "Do you want to go?"
Willow was stunned. "Go where?"
Mitchell explained seriously, "To the beach. Do you want to go?"
Willow thought seriously for a moment. "I still have a few days off, but it won't be much fun if I go alone. Daniel is so busy, I guess he won't be able to go together. Let's forget it."
Mitchell initially wanted to blurt out the words, "I'll accompany you," but he swallowed them back. Since she wanted to go, he would surprise her. He had never pursued a girl or been in a relationship before, but he thought girls must like surprises.
"Okay, then take a breakfast break." Mitchell only said this in the end.
"Okay, Mitchell also took a breakfast break," Willow hung up the phone, feeling something was off. Mitchell called her so late. Did he forget to mention the main point?
Mitchell stared blankly at his phone, and when he realized that Jimmy also liked Willow, he suddenly had a strong sense of crisis. It was a feeling of someone invading his territory, and he couldn't take the initiative or be sure he would win. All those strategies he used in the business world seemed useless.
