Chapter 315 Encounter at the Proposal Scene

Willow originally wanted to ask Mitchell about the clothes on her body, but then she realized they were the only two in the room. Besides Mitchell, who else could have helped her change clothes? Thinking that it was Mitchell who helped her change clothes, she now lowered her head to look at her chest. She couldn't help but wonder if Mitchell would think she was small. Then she remembered the last time they went on vacation together and saw Laura's impressive bust, which suddenly made her feel insecure.

Mitchell helped her stand up, but Willow's legs were numb, causing her to stumble and fall into Mitchell's arms. Their eyes met, both being drawn to each other. Seeing the fiery look in Mitchell's eyes, Willow quickly struggled to climb onto the bed. Mitchell tried to suppress the fire inside him and said, "I'll go pour you some water." Then he rushed out of the room as if fleeing. He entered the kitchen, opened the refrigerator, drank a whole bottle of cold water to cool down the fire inside him, poured a cup of warm water for Willow, and then returned to the room.

After drinking the warm water, Willow felt much better and handed the cup back to Mitchell, saying, "Thank you, Mitchell." Then she shyly lowered her head and dared not look up. Mitchell's suppressed voice sounded, "Rest for breakfast." He then prepared to leave with the cup. Willow suddenly realized something was wrong. Mitchell's apartment only had one room and one bed. She was now sleeping on the big bed, so where would Mitchell sleep?

"Where are you going to sleep tonight, Mitchell?" In a moment of urgency, she grabbed Mitchell's arm. Thinking she might be afraid since it was her first time sleeping in his room, Mitchell comforted her, saying, "Don't worry, I'll be on the sofa outside. If you need anything, just call me. Don't get up and hurt yourself again." Willow thought about the small sofa outside and how Mitchell, who was over six feet tall, would sleep on it. She held Mitchell's hand and said, "Mitchell, I'll sleep on the sofa. You sleep on the bed." She tried to get off the bed, but Mitchell immediately stopped her, saying, "Stay put, go to sleep."

Willow still struggled to get up. Mitchell looked at her wearing his T-shirt, which looked like a dress on her, with her fair and slender legs faintly visible. The fire inside him surged down to his lower abdomen. In a hoarse voice, Mitchell asked, "Do you really want me to sleep here?" Willow stopped, looked at Mitchell's restrained expression, feeling a bit scared, and just nodded blankly.

Mitchell smiled mysteriously and alluringly, "All right, be a good girl and go to sleep. I'll be outside watching over you." Ignoring Willow's innocent gaze, he got up and left the room. He knew that things might get out of hand if he didn't leave now. Willow didn't make any more moves this time. She watched Mitchell leave the room, then lay down on the bed, staring at the ceiling. She felt so shy. She almost blurted out, 'Let's sleep together' just now. If she did, Mitchell might think she was a loose woman. But whenever Mitchell smiled, she found herself defenseless and captivated by him.

Madison and Matthew walked hand in hand along the riverbank. They found a chair and sat down when they reached the town square.

"Matthew, we haven't visited my parents' graves this year. When you come back from Rome, let's go together as a family." Madison leaned on Matthew's shoulder. Once Matthew figured out the cause of his in-laws' death in Rome, they should pay their respects.

Matthew held Madison's hand tightly as they both gazed at the distant night view. He nodded and replied earnestly, "Okay."

Suddenly, a circle of heart-shaped candles lit up in a nearby open space. A girl stood in the center, and a boy knelt in front of her with a bouquet of flowers, saying something. The girl was moved, covering her mouth, tears streaming down her face. Due to the distance, they couldn't hear what was being said, but it was clear that a proposal was taking place.

Madison was excited to witness the proposal scene. She stood up and pulled Matthew over to watch, and onlookers also gathered around, eager to witness the romantic moment. After the boy recounted their memories and details, he finally asked, 'Will you marry me?' The girl, already in tears of joy, nodded vigorously. The boy slowly put the ring on her ring finger, stood up, and they embraced each other. Friends and spectators around clapped and cheered for their happiness.

Madison was moved to tears, leaning on Matthew's chest, cheering along with the crowd for the couple. Matthew's mind was focused on her, holding her close, comforting her. He felt inspired and began contemplating something. He seemed to have made a decision in his heart.

The happy couple left hand in hand, and the onlookers gradually dispersed. Madison also led Matthew to leave. As they walked, Matthew turned his head to Madison and asked, "Did you like what you just saw?" Madison didn't immediately understand what he meant. She turned to him, puzzled, and asked, "What do you mean?"

Matthew seemed a bit embarrassed, cleared his throat, and casually asked, "I mean the proposal just now." Madison didn't think much and simply nodded, saying, "I liked it. It was so touching. I almost cried when I saw the boy put the ring on the girl. It's my first time witnessing a proposal in person, just like in a TV drama." Madison chattered on, thinking Matthew was just making casual conversation.

Matthew continued to chat with her as if having a normal conversation, asking, "Yes, it was my first time, too. Honey, what did you think of the candles?"

"They were nice, but I think indoor decorations would be better, with more flowers." Matthew surprisingly showed a bit of interest in someone else's affairs tonight, engaging in a casual chat with her. Feeling a bit tipsy from the wine and excited, Madison shared her thoughts. Matthew nodded along, agreeing with her, silently taking note of everything she said.
