Chapter 309 Actively Show Stories

Mitchell took Willow back to the apartment. When the car stopped downstairs, Willow unbuckled her seatbelt and softly said, "Mitchell, I'll go up first. Take care on the way." Then she prepared to open the car door and get out.

"Wait a moment." Mitchell stopped her and said, "Let me borrow your phone." Willow handed her phone over, puzzled. Mitchell took Willow's phone and then held her left hand.

His right hand intertwined with her left hand, fingers tightly clasped together. Mitchell took a photo with the phone's camera, capturing their intertwined hands, posted it on his Facebook, and then returned the phone to Willow.

"Why did you take a picture?" Willow asked in confusion. Mitchell just smiled without answering, also unbuckling his seatbelt, preparing to get out of the car. "I'll walk you up."

With a flushed face, Willow walked ahead. She felt nervous again, even though Mitchell had walked her up before. Today, her palms were sweating nervously.

Mitchell stopped at the door and said, "Go in." Willow took out her keys, opened the door, and said, "I'm going in." After Willow entered and closed the door, she slowly squatted down behind the door, raising her hand to pinch her face, confirming that it was real, not a dream.

Mitchell restrained himself from going in; he was afraid he couldn't control himself.

When driving back to the villa, Mitchell's parents had already gone to bed. Daniel had intended to wait for Mitchell to return but had fallen asleep due to drinking.

Mitchell returned to his room, found his phone on the bedside table, and called Matthew.

Matthew was still awake, working in the study. Madison was probably in the room putting the children to sleep. Seeing Mitchell's call, he seemed to have anticipated it.

After the call connected, "Matthew, hope I'm not disturbing you," Mitchell's voice sounded somewhat excited.

"I'm looking at daytime documents," Matthew replied, indicating he was still busy with work and not disturbed.

"Matthew, Willow, and I are together now." Mitchell looked out at the night sky, the stars shining in, unable to suppress the smile on his face.

"Okay." After a pause, Matthew added, "Treat her well."

"I will," Mitchell promised.

Matthew hung up the phone, no longer interested in work, and went to find Madison. He opened the door to the room where Madison had just finished showering and was applying something to her face. Seeing him come in with a smile, she casually asked, "What's making you so happy?"

Matthew walked up behind her, wrapped his arms around her, and said, "Mitchell called." Madison's eyes lit up, turning her head to ask, "All settled?" Matthew nodded.

"That was quick," Madison remarked. Willow had always liked Mitchell, so as long as Mitchell took the initiative, they would be together in no time.

"That's fast indeed. Mitchell didn't start dating until he was in his thirties," Matthew couldn't help but comment on Mitchell.

"Anyway, it's great. Let's quickly arrange a dinner with everyone to celebrate," Madison said happily.

"Forget about them, my dear." Taking advantage of Madison's distraction, Matthew hugged her and led her toward the large bed in the room.

After finishing the call with Matthew, Mitchell joyfully posted the photo he had taken with Willow's phone on his Stories, captioned "Long-awaited success."

As it was late, after posting the Stories, there seemed to be no immediate response. Mitchell took another shower, changed clothes, and finally lay down in bed. He was too excited and couldn't fall asleep. After lying for a while, he took out his phone and sent a message to Willow on Facebook.

"Are you asleep?" he asked.

She replied instantly, "Not yet."

Willow had also finished showering and lay in bed. Everything that had happened that day was still sinking in. In the morning, she was still grieving her unrequited love, and in the evening, she received a confession from Mitchell. It felt like riding a roller coaster, with her heart jumping up and down. Now, seeing Mitchell's message, her heart started racing again.

"I can't sleep either," Mitchell lay in bed, smiling like a flower, a far cry from his usual serious demeanor at the office. The people in his project team would probably be shocked to see him like this.

Without waiting for Willow's reply, Mitchell eagerly sent another message, "I'll pick you up tomorrow with breakfast. Let's have breakfast together."

"Okay." After putting down her phone, Willow couldn't help but scream in bed. She felt defenseless. Why had Mitchell become so affectionate after their roles had changed? It felt warm and comforting.

The next day, both Mitchell and Willow were awakened by continuous phone calls and Facebook messages. The first call Mitchell received was from Patrick. Patrick's gossip-loving heart prompted him to call Mitchell as soon as he saw Mitchell's Stories.

"Mitchell, what does your Stories mean?" Patrick's voice was filled with anticipation and gossip.

Mitchell got out of bed with his phone in hand, preparing to freshen up. "It means what it says."

"No, who is it really? The person holding hands with you," Patrick asked, as Mitchell had only captured their intertwined hands without showing their faces, leaving Patrick in the dark about Willow.

"My girlfriend," Mitchell deliberately didn't tell Patrick and hung up, getting ready to go out to buy breakfast.

Unable to extract any information from Mitchell, Patrick directly commented under his Stories, "Who is Mitchell's mysterious third sister-in-law?"

Liam quickly followed up with, "I'm curious too."

Not giving up, Patrick then started messaging in the group with his brothers, directly mentioning Mitchell, "Mitchell, just tell me, who is it? Can you bear to see me so itchy?"

After sending the message, no one responded to him. After a while, only Liam weakly added to the group, "I'm curious too."

Patrick continued by mentioning Matthew and Victor, "Matthew, aren't you curious? Why aren't you concerned about Mitchell's love life?"

Matthew hadn't checked his phone yet, but Victor replied, "It seems like Mitchell doesn't want you to care so much."

Patrick responded with a pouty emoji.

It took Matthew half an hour to notice the messages in the group. Annoyed, he typed a quick response on his phone, "I know who it is, so I'm not curious at all."

As soon as the message was sent, Patrick bombarded him with a string of exclamation marks.
