Chapter 396 The Wedding
Matthew and Madison's wedding was held at the top-rated hotel in Horizon City, owned by Cheryl's family. When Cheryl found out about their wedding, he proactively called Matthew and insisted on providing the venue for free. Cheryl was just a month older than Daniel.
Matthew didn't refuse since it was indeed the best hotel in Horizon City.
The wedding took place as scheduled and was very lively. Many reporters and netizens gathered outside the hotel, eager to catch a glimpse of the grand event. Matthew arranged for a significant number of security personnel, ensuring tight security measures because he planned to keep the wedding private instead of broadcasting it live. To make the wedding as perfect as possible and give Madison a profound and beautiful memory, not only Matthew but also the other CEOs of JK Corporation, Victor, Mitchell, Liam, and Patrick, were all on high alert, fearing any mishap.
The dashing groomsmen helped welcome and entertain the guests while the bridesmaids accompanied the bride in the dressing room. Quentin and Hannah, the two little flower children, also stayed with Madison. Everyone arrived early and personally took part in the preparations. After all, this was the first wedding among their group of friends. If Matthew was a bit nervous, the others were incredibly excited.
Madison and the two little ones were picked up by car early in the morning. The kids were already dressed at home, and everyone who saw them couldn't resist hugging and kissing them because they were so adorable.
Madison's makeup and dress change were arranged at the hotel. She was a bit nervous, her heart racing from the moment she started getting her makeup done, and she even felt a bit anxious. Although she was marrying the same person for the second time, it was her first time walking down the aisle. Every girl would dream of a wedding, so she was filled with anticipation and happiness.
When she finished her makeup and changed into her wedding dress, Hannah was the first to exclaim, "Mom, you look so beautiful today, like a princess."
"More like a fairy," Quentin added.
Madison smiled and hugged the two little ones, caressing their heads.
Rachel and the other bridesmaids also changed into their dresses. Rachel was the first to come out and overheard Quentin and Hannah. She smiled and said, "Our Quentin looks very handsome today, like a little prince, and Hannah is a little princess. But Madison, you look stunning today. Matthew will be amazed when he sees you."
Soon after, Daniel, Willow, and Ophelia also came out in their dresses and couldn't help but praise Madison.
"Madison, you are definitely the most beautiful bride."
"Yes, Madison, even as a girl, I'm smitten."
Madison blushed at the compliments, making her look even more charming and alluring. The wedding dress she wore was her design. She had drawn a rough sketch of it when she was a teenager and had meticulously revised it for her wedding. After finalizing the design, she bought the materials and made it herself. The diamonds on the dress were real, as Matthew had procured the best materials for her. Although the wedding dress wasn't a custom piece from a famous brand, it was incredibly expensive.
When the girls saw her with her makeup done and in her wedding dress, they were stunned by her beauty. They all expressed that they wanted Madison to design their wedding dresses, too, because the dress was beautiful enough to fulfill all their fantasies about weddings.
Once everything was ready, Daniel, Willow, and the other two surrounded Madison and escorted her to the back door of the banquet hall. The two little ones obediently held up the train of Madison's wedding dress, waiting for the ceremony to begin. Quentin, dressed in a little suit with a bow tie, looked like a miniature version of Matthew, standing there like a little gentleman. Hannah, in her princess dress with curled hair, looked like a beautiful little fairy from the forest. The two kids inherited the good looks of Matthew and Madison, attracting many guests to take pictures with them.
Gerald was already waiting there, ready to hand his daughter over to Matthew personally.
At 6:18 p.m., the wedding ceremony began on time. The doors of the banquet hall slowly opened. Madison, holding Gerald's arm, walked slowly towards the stage with Quentin and Hannah obediently holding their flower baskets beside her. Matthew stood straight on the stage, dressed in a black suit with a tie. He looked even more striking today. From the moment Madison saw him standing on the stage, she couldn't take her eyes off him.
Matthew stood on the stage, watching Madison and the two adorable children slowly walk towards him. His eyes were fixed on Madison, never looking away. At this moment, they only had eyes for each other. They gazed at each other deeply, completely captivated by one another. To her, he was the most charming man; to him, she was the most enchanting woman.
As Madison walked forward, getting closer and closer to Matthew, she wore a constant smile, walking toward the person she would spend the rest of her life with. They had gone through so many ups and downs, but their deep love for each other had brought them to this day. They would stand by each other.
The aisle walk was only about ten minutes, but to Matthew, it felt exceptionally long. Watching his meticulously dressed wife in her wedding gown walk towards him, he resisted the urge to rush forward, his palms slightly sweaty from nervousness. Finally, Madison reached him.
Gerald seemed a bit emotional, too, his lips trembling and his eyes slightly red. In the end, he said, "I give my dear Madison to you now." He then solemnly handed Madison's hand to Matthew.
Matthew held Madison's hand firmly and said to Gerald, "Dad, don't worry."
Hannah and Quentin looked up mischievously and said to Matthew, "Daddy, we're giving Mummy to you. Daddy, be good to Mummy."
Matthew smiled and squatted down, seriously nodding to his son and daughter, saying, "Okay, Daddy will." The two smiled back at Matthew, and each kissed him on the cheek.
Gerald took the two kids off the stage to their seats. On stage, only Matthew, Madison, and the officiant remained. The officiant, a well-known host from JK Entertainment, had excellent speaking skills and kept the audience laughing throughout the ceremony.
