Chapter 354 Online Brawl
Willow was enjoying her meal. She thought the food Mitchell made was really delicious and didn’t want to put down her utensils to change clothes, especially since there was now no one else around...
With a chicken leg in her mouth, she nodded absentmindedly and mumbled, "Okay, I'll change after I finish eating." Mitchell, resigned, and got up to fetch a thin blanket to drape over her, cautioning, "The air conditioning is on low, be careful not to catch a cold."
"Alright." Willow continued to obliviously nibble on her chicken leg, unaware of Mitchell's unease, appearing carefree as ever. Mitchell sighed softly, feeling like he had brought this upon himself.
After finishing the food, Willow returned to bed. It was the weekend, with no work to worry about, and she loved lounging in bed watching shows and scrolling through her phone.
It was then that she noticed a video of Matthew and Madison's proposal circulating online, along with the cyberbullying incident involving Madison. In their Facebook group with Daniel and Ophelia, the two had been discussing it for a while.
Daniel criticized fans in the group for lacking independent thinking and even engaged in online arguments. Ophelia, equally upset, mentioned getting help to argue with internet users. Willow quickly scanned the group messages and, upon checking Facebook, discovered that someone had exploited a surprise proposal video of Matthew's.
She exchanged a few words with Daniel and Ophelia in the group, then saw Mitchell entering the room. She quickly sat up, asking, "Mitchell, does Matthew know about the online situation?"
"He knows, and he's handling it. Don't worry," Mitchell replied as he walked to the desk, preparing to assist with the online matter. In reality, Matthew and the others had it under control, and their help wasn't really necessary, but...
As soon as he entered the room, he noticed Willow casually lying on the bed, her undershirt revealing her shorts slightly. To divert his attention, he decided to focus on work.
Willow relaxed after she heard that Matthew had handled the situation. She sent a comforting message to Madison on Facebook before joining Daniel and the others in arguing with internet users online.
Mitchell opened his computer but didn't read a word because Willow hadn't changed yet. She was still in her shirt, rolling around on the large bed with her phone. Mitchell felt a familiar heat rising within him and, in a low, hoarse voice, he instructed, "Willow, cover yourself with the blanket."
Engrossed in a heated online debate with her friends, Willow, with her head down, replied, "Okay." She then casually pulled the blanket over herself. Only then did Mitchell turn his attention to the files on the computer.
It seemed like he had to visit his future in-laws earlier than planned.
Everyone watched the evening live interview attentively until the end. The three continued discussing in the group.
Daniel: [Matthew is too handsome. He turned the company's financial interview into a romance show.]
Ophelia: [Look at the online viewership numbers, even the most popular variety shows don't have such high ratings.]
Willow: [Matthew seems really upset this time.]
Daniel: [With Matthew's moves, they'll surely spread more rumors.]
Ophelia: [Exactly, those bad netizens are despicable.]
The conversation gradually shifted.
Daniel: [Willow, how was it with Mitchell last night?]
Willow: [We fell asleep when we went back. I was so tired from staying up late. I only woke up at noon today.]
Daniel: [Willow, what are you implying? Even though it's just us three in the group, isn't that a bit too direct?]
Willow, feeling confused, sent a question mark and then another message. [I meant just sleeping, okay?]
Silence fell among them.
Willow: [What do you guys think?]
Ophelia: [Can Mitchell hold back?]
Daniel: [Could it be that Mitchell has performance issues?] Daniel found it hard to believe that despite Willow staying over at Mitchell's place multiple times, they were still at the stage of simply chatting and sleeping without doing something else under the covers.
Willow, upon seeing Daniel's words in the group, suddenly realized something. Her face flushed red, and she discreetly glanced at Mitchell, who was focused on his computer. Feeling relieved, she turned back to her phone and typed, [No, he’s fine. I can feel it.]
After the last drinking session, she still remembered some things and felt it distinctly.
Daniel: [You can feel it? What do you mean? Wasn't it just sleeping?]
Ophelia: [How does it feel?]
Both of them were excited and immediately messaged back. Blushing, Willow hid under the covers and vaguely explained the incident where she had drunk too much last time.
Daniel: [Willow, you still haven't experienced intimacy? Learn from Ophelia, okay.]
Ophelia caught off guard, retorted, [It's not like I want to experience it.] Liam always managed to coax her into it.
Willow fell silent. ’Can these things be said in the group?’
In truth, it wasn't about whether she wanted to or not. Every time she got too drunk, it was clear that it was Mitchell who didn't want to, and she seemed to have no say in the matter.
Mitchell's inner thoughts were, ‘You should understand how hard it is for me to endure this.’
Daniel: [Matthew posted on Facebook, let's go check it out.]
Ophelia: [The official website posted the marriage certificate. Matthew is truly amazing! Thumbs up.]
Willow opened Facebook and saw Matthew's post. She and Daniel shared it, while Ophelia refrained from doing so due to her special status.
The three girls chatted casually in the group, taking advantage of the rare occasion when they all seemed free, prolonging their conversation.
With his work settled, Mitchell noticed Willow still lying on the bed with her phone in hand.
"Willow, are you hungry? Want to go out for a walk and grab a bite to eat?" He approached the bed.
Willow grabbed her phone, and on her phone screen, it was the last message in the group was from Daniel. [Where is the last time's lingerie? You didn't throw it away, did you? Hurry, it can come in handy now.]
Remembering the lingerie Daniel had sent her last time, Willow blushed. Mitchell approached, catching her off guard. She quickly hid her phone behind her back. "Sure... let's go out to eat."
Indeed, the lingerie was still there, tucked under her apartment's wardrobe!
