Chapter 312 Bustling Dinner Party (One)
The next day, Madison woke up with a sore back and remembered that someone was so eager last night that they didn't even bother to have dinner. I just took her to the room. Later, after getting too tired from all the fuss, she lay in bed, not wanting to move at all. In the end, it was Matthew who coaxed her, carried her to take a shower, and then brought the meal upstairs for her to eat.
Sitting on the bed, eating the food fed by Matthew, Madison snarled, "We can't do this in the future!" The food was cooked, then left to cool and reheated. And clearly agreed to something once, but in the end, words were not kept, not sure how many times it had happened. She had to plead in a hoarse voice to end it finally, overall it was very excessive.
Knowing he was at fault but feeling full and content, Matthew was in a very good mood. No matter what Madison said, he just smiled and nodded, looking like a good student. He even reassured her, "Wife is right, we won't do this in the future, let's eat first before starting, no more anger, be good, eat first."
"Hmph," Madison was furious. What eat first before starting, if this continues, they will have to sleep separately, always so troublesome every day, how could she bear it. After coaxing Madison to finish dinner, Matthew ate some casually, then obediently cleaned up the kitchen and washed the dishes before coming upstairs. When he returned to the room, Madison was already asleep from exhaustion. Matthew quietly walked over, looked at her sleeping figure on the bed, kissed her forehead, then took his pajamas and went to shower.
Reflecting on himself while showering, he realized that tonight might have been too much, making his wife exhausted. Next time, he must control himself, maybe reduce it by one time compared to tonight.
If Madison knew that Matthew was reflecting like this, she would probably kick him off the bed and let him sleep alone.
The place where Mitchell invited them to dinner was chosen by Patrick. When it came to food, a few brothers were not as good as him, so naturally, he decided on the place to eat.
The place Patrick chose was on a food street near Mitchell's bar, serving Mexican dishes with fish heads. The fish was slaughtered and prepared on-site, very fresh and tender, as he described it, very popular. He had reserved a private room a day in advance and shared the details with the group.
Madison slept until noon before getting up, then went back to the old house with Matthew to see the two little ones and their grandfather. Because Patrick mentioned in the group that they would go to the bar after dinner, Madison didn't take Quentin and Hannah out with her. The grandfather knew they were going out to socialize, so he let Madison and Matthew play at ease, as he had set up a trampoline at home these days, and the two little ones were still excited, expressing their desire to stay and accompany their grandfather. So, in the evening, Madison and Matthew set off on their own.
They were the second group to arrive, and when they reached the private room, Patrick was already seated inside, saying that he had already ordered the dishes. "Matthew, sister-in-law, take a look and see if there's anything else you'd like to add," Patrick said as he handed the menu to Madison. Madison took it with a smile and then passed it to Matthew, "Matthew, take a look."
Matthew looked attentively at the menu, asking Patrick what he had ordered while listening and looking at the menu. Ultimately, he added two dishes, a plate of grilled spare ribs and a plate of tacos, both of which Madison liked.
After returning to the menu, Patrick saw the two dishes Matthew had added and asked with some confusion, "Matthew, since when do you like tacos?" Matthew took a sip of water and boasted, "Your sister-in-law likes them." Madison sat beside him, smiling at him. Patrick rubbed his forehead, "Matthew, sister-in-law, can you not show affection in front of me? Take care of this single guy." Patrick felt he had said too much. He shouldn't have asked Matthew why he ordered tacos!
Madison looked innocently at Patrick, then earnestly explained, "We're not showing affection." Matthew nodded along, "Yeah, just eating tacos is showing affection, Patrick. Are you feeling unloved lately?"
Patrick was annoyed and went to find the waiter to add more dishes, thinking to himself that Matthew had influenced Madison. In fact, Madison really didn't think she was showing affection, and she found it strange why Patrick was so upset. "What's wrong with Patrick today?" Matthew glanced at Patrick's departing figure, smiling, "Maybe he really is feeling unloved lately. Let's not mind him."
When Patrick returned with the added dishes, Victor had also arrived. The two met at the private room door and walked in together. Patrick saw Victor as if he had found a confidant, and he directly pounced on Victor, "Second brother, you're finally back, I missed you, they all bullied me." Patrick hugged Victor and pretended to cry.
Victor frowned slightly and pushed Patrick a couple of times but couldn't get him off, "Let go, don't wipe your snot on my clothes." Patrick raised his head and foolishly touched his nose, "I'm not sniffling." Victor sat down, "All right."
Madison couldn't help but laugh at the two of them. Patrick was really amusing.
Soon after, Mitchell arrived with Willow and Daniel. Daniel entered the private room first, and Madison, not seeing Willow and Mitchell, asked, "Where are Willow and your brother?"
"They're parking behind, the two of them are too lovey-dovey, my brother even holds hands with Willow when parking, this big light bulb can only slip away first." Daniel joked, "It used to be me holding hands with Willow, now my brother finally got his wish, they have completely abandoned me."
Patrick felt like he had found a kindred spirit and pulled Daniel to sit next to him, "Come on, Daniel, sit next to me, finally someone who understands my feelings." After Daniel sat down next to Patrick, Mitchell, and Willow, holding hands, parked the car and walked in. Seeing everyone there, Willow felt a bit embarrassed and wanted to break free from Mitchell's grip to go find Daniel, but Mitchell didn't give her a chance, firmly holding her hand and pulling her to sit next to him.
Madison, smiling, teased Mitchell, "Mitchell seems a bit different from before, indeed in love. Holding onto Willow tightly, afraid she'll run away."
Mitchell, with a smile on his face, "I am a bit afraid she'll run away."
This statement made everyone present speechless, Mitchell's confidence was really thick now, not forgetting to show off his love affair both openly and subtly.
