Chapter 317 The Drama in the Conference Room

Willow's face turned red to the roots of her ears because of his words, 'Our Willow...' Mitchell had never said such intimate words to himself before. Her heart started beating rapidly again because of his words, feeling like she needed help. How come she hadn't noticed how charming Mitchell could be before? She quickly sat down and grabbed the water under the table, tilting her head back and taking several sips.

After Willow finished speaking, the others seemed hesitant to move, holding their breath and waiting for the big shot to speak. Mitchell looked at Willow's profile and started applauding generously, saying meaningfully, "Well said, Willow. Carry on." Everyone followed suit and started clapping, with the manager seeming relieved. The applause was particularly loud, and he even winked at Willow, indicating a job well done.

With Willow leading the charge and, receiving praise and recognition from Mitchell for her excellent performance, and seeing Mitchell sitting next to her up close, he didn't seem as intimidating. Everyone seemed to relax a lot more, returning to a normal meeting state and engaging in lively discussions. The meeting lasted for about an hour. After Willow spoke, her mind wasn't on the meeting at all because Mitchell was sitting beside her, making small gestures that made it impossible for her to focus on what others were saying.

When the discussion was almost over, the project manager, sitting at the head of the table, cautiously asked, "Mr. Jonah, do you have any advice for us to guide us?" Mitchell stood up, walked to the front, and made two sharp suggestions. Everyone admired him and nodded continuously, with some whispering.

"How did we not think of this earlier?"

"Mr. Jonah is truly exceptional, being a top student in architecture. Amazing."

"Yes, Mr. Jonah's two points hit the nail on the head."

As everyone whispered, Willow stared blankly at the confident man in front of her. She had thought he was just as distracted as her, not paying attention earlier, making small movements under the table. Little did she know that he had absorbed everything discussed and could provide very professional advice, pinpointing the issues. Willow had always known how capable Mitchell was, but his ability to multitask and provide insightful feedback left her truly in awe. It was like back in school when everyone was distracted, but someone aced the exam.

After Mitchell finished speaking, he returned to his seat next to Willow. The manager made a few symbolic closing remarks and quickly announced the end of the meeting. People left one by one with their notebooks, and the manager waited at the door for Mitchell. Willow also wanted to leave with everyone but was held back by Mitchell, who grabbed her hand. Sitting across from her with a notebook in hand, Elizabeth asked, "Willow, aren't you leaving?"

Willow smiled, "I need to make some adjustments. You go ahead." Elizabeth looked puzzled at Willow and the motionless Mitchell beside her, "All right, then I'll leave first." Elizabeth glanced back at them before leaving, feeling that Mitchell's gaze toward Willow seemed off, but she shook her head, muttering, "It can't be. I must be mistaken. "She returned to her desk, where other colleagues were still discussing after leaving the meeting room.

"Mr. Jonah seemed different today, in a good mood. Must be good news."

"Yeah, I saw him smiling sneakily during the meeting."

"I noticed that too."

In short, Mitchell's unusual behavior today sparked various discussions among the group.

Only the manager, Mitchell, and Willow remained in the conference room. The manager stood respectfully at the door, and Mitchell said, "I think Willow did well in her speech. Let me discuss this with her. You can leave first." Under the guise of work, Mitchell shamelessly acted in his own interest. The manager, puzzled, gestured to Willow for encouragement and happily left, even closing the conference room door behind him.

The manager had always treated Willow well, had high hopes for her abilities, and would usually provide her with opportunities to shine. He thought Mitchell had also recognized this rising star, feeling proud of his discerning eye.

Little did he know that as soon as he closed the door and left, Mitchell immediately turned around, embraced Willow, held the back of her head, and leaned in to kiss her red lips. His sudden move startled Willow, wide-eyed, realizing they were still in the office.

The kiss deepened, becoming more passionate. Mitchell had almost lost control when he saw her dressed like that in the morning and missed her presence all afternoon after they parted ways in the parking lot. Unable to resist, he came down to find her, coincidentally stumbling upon their meeting. He pretended to be an observer, sat down, and spent the time under the table holding her hand to ease his longing.

With no one around, they became intimate boldly. Willow moved lower, and Mitchell placed one hand on her back, pressing her upper body onto the conference table, while his other hand ventured further down.

A soft moan escaped Willow's lips, hearing her own soft voice, which surprised her. She jolted, coming to her senses, and pushed Mitchell away, "Mitchell, stop, we can't do this here."

Her voice was soft and seductive. Even she couldn't believe it was her own. Mitchell held her, his head resting on her shoulder, breathing heavily. Both could hear each other's racing heartbeats, taking a while to calm down. Mitchell stood up with her, a smirk on his face, "You little troublemaker."

Willow gave him a seductive look, raising a small fist and placing it on his chest, "Big troublemaker."

After fixing their clothes, they walked out of the conference room, with Mitchell confidently heading toward the elevator. At the same time, Willow sneaked back to her workstation like a thief, bumping into a few colleagues on the way, feeling guilty. Remembering what happened in the meeting room, her face flushed, her heart racing. She sat at her desk, silently determined never to engage in such activities in the office again, never to be tempted by Mitchell.
