Chapter 398 Everyone Was Drunk

The presidential suite upstairs was filled with a romantic atmosphere, while the banquet hall downstairs remained lively. A group of people were still engaged in a drinking contest. The other side had more people, so most of the groomsmen were already down for the count. Only Victor and Hank, an unofficial groomsman, were still holding their ground. Both of them had lived on the edge of danger before, so they had the best alcohol tolerance among the group. Even if they were drunk, it didn't show. The other side was almost entirely drunk as well, so the groomsmen still had the upper hand.

Patrick was the first to be knocked out. His face flushed from drinking. He had fallen asleep early on a nearby table. Liam and Mitchell weren't much better off. Although they hadn't passed out, they were both sitting dazedly in their chairs. Ophelia and Willow, who hadn't drunk much, were keeping an eye on them. Both of their faces were flushed, and they kept tilting their heads back, grinning foolishly at Ophelia and Willow. They looked nothing like their usually serious CEO selves, appearing incredibly childish.

Among the bridesmaids, only Daniel had drunk a lot and was also passed out, sleeping on a table. Seeing that most of the guests had left and there was nothing much to do, Rachel went with Nicholas.

As the night went on, more people got drunk and passed out. After everyone gradually left, only a few of them remained in the banquet hall. Cheryl, who had gotten a bit tipsy from a strong drink earlier, had stopped drinking and was still quite sober. He called the hotel manager to open a few rooms and arranged for the staff to take Patrick to his room to rest. Willow took care of Mitchell, and Ophelia took care of Liam. Willow was initially worried about Daniel, but Cheryl volunteered to ensure Daniel got back to her room safely. After a moment's hesitation, Willow entrusted Daniel to him.

Cheryl bent down to pick up Daniel. Daniel mumbled something unintelligible and then continued to sleep against Cheryl's chest, seemingly reassured by the familiar presence. Cheryl took her to the room and covered her with a blanket. He stood by the bed and stared at the sleeping Daniel for a long time. Daniel seemed to feel a bit hot and started kicking the blanket after a while. Her dress shifted, revealing a significant portion of her thigh. Cheryl was stunned by the sudden sight and couldn't help but recall the time he accidentally saw Daniel in the seductive uniform. He quickly averted his gaze, his face and ears turning red.

Daniel's room was on the same floor as Willow's, just next door. After helping Mitchell into his room, Willow went to take care of Daniel and knocked on the door.

Cheryl opened the door and saw Willow standing there. The blush on his face and ears hadn't faded, and he looked down awkwardly. Willow looked at him and asked, "Is Daniel okay?"

Cheryl cleared his throat and said, "Daniel is asleep." He then stepped aside to make way. Willow walked in, wrung out a towel, and wiped Daniel's face before covering her with the blanket again. As she walked out, she saw Cheryl still standing at the door. Pausing for a moment, she then said, "Cheryl, Daniel is asleep. You should go back and rest, too." Cheryl nodded and then turned to leave.

Willow returned to her room after about twenty minutes. When she got back, she found that Mitchell was not on the bed. Hearing the sound of running water from the bathroom, she hurried over and knocked on the door. "Mitchell, are you taking a shower?" She was worried that he might slip since he had been drinking. The water stopped quickly, and after a moment, the bathroom door swung open. Willow stood there, stunned. Mitchell was wrapped in a towel from the waist down, his hair still wet, and water droplets were running down his muscular chest. He looked at Willow with innocent eyes, his voice hoarse yet gentle, tinged with a bit of drunkenness and a hint of a whine. "Honey, where did you go? I couldn't find you."

Without waiting for a response, he pulled Willow into a tight embrace as if afraid she would disappear again.

Willow was taken aback by his calling her "honey," and she froze completely. Because Mitchell was still wet, he soaked her bridesmaid dress as he hugged her. Blushing, Willow said awkwardly, "Mitchell, let go of me. My clothes are wet. I need to take a shower."

Mitchell held on, childishly saying, "No, you'll disappear again."

"I just went to check on Daniel. Daniel is drunk," Willow explained softly. Mitchell, still holding Willow, nuzzled his head into her shoulder and neck, swaying unsteadily. Worried he might fall, Willow had no choice but to support his waist. The heat from his body made her blush even more.

After a while, Mitchell finally let go, his deep eyes still wet and sparkling as he looked at Willow with a childish smile. "Okay, you go take a shower. I'll wait for you on the bed."

Willow couldn't help but let her mind wander, 'Wait for me on the bed? How seductive he is!' After Mitchell let go, he headed towards the bed, seemingly ready to wait for her there. Willow quickly grabbed her pajamas and hid in the bathroom. It took her about half an hour to remove her makeup and take a shower. When she came out, she saw that Mitchell was indeed sitting obediently on the bed, waiting for her.

As soon as Mitchell saw her come out of the bathroom, he turned his head and wore a charming smile. "Honey, why did you take so long? I almost fell asleep."

Willow stopped in her tracks. Mitchell was really drunk; he wasn't his usual self at all. She couldn't handle this drunk version of Mitchell.

"Honey, come here," Mitchell urged with a smile, patting the spot next to him. Willow hesitantly walked over. As soon as she sat down, Mitchell pulled her onto his lap, gave her a quick kiss, and then said pitifully, "Honey, kiss me."

Willow froze. Why was drunk Mitchell so adorable? She had no resistance to him at all. After speaking, Mitchell pressed her down and leaned over her.

Willow couldn't tell if she was the one who was drunk or if it was just Mitchell. Either way, she had no strength in her hands as they pressed against his chest.
