Chapter 461 Returning to the New House
Willow and Mitchell arrived at the private room to find that their roommates had already ordered the dishes. As soon as they sat down, the food started arriving, filling the table.
Lisa and Karen had already decided to treat everyone to this meal. They had received more gifts than they had given out, including those from the wedding day and the gifts, which added up to a significant amount.
Not only did they get gifts, but they also got photos with celebrities, making them feel like they had hit the jackpot. Feeling a bit guilty about receiving the gifts, they insisted on paying for this meal before leaving.
Even though it was their last meal together before parting ways, everyone had a great time. Through the wedding, the three roommates realized that Mitchell was actually very easygoing. He was just an ordinary person.
In the end, Willow went to pay the bill, but the server told her that it had already been settled. Confused, she asked who had paid in advance, saying that they shouldn't have to pay after traveling so far for the wedding.
Karen and Lisa waved her off, refusing to let her transfer money, and cheerfully said, "We haven't even spent all the gifts we grabbed yet. Let us be the ones to treat you this time."
Willow had no idea how many gifts Mitchell had given out or how much money was in them, but she knew it was a lot. Unable to argue with the two, she let them pay.
At the table, Lisa asked where they planned to go for their honeymoon, and Willow realized she hadn't thought about it yet.
"We haven't decided yet," Willow said with a smile.
She and Mitchell had already taken two trips alone together. The first was when Matthew regained his memory at the beach, and the second was their trip from Emerald Isle City to Maple City.
They had spent quite a bit of time in Maple City, so if they were to go on a honeymoon, she really didn't know where to go.
Mitchell had secretly thought of a few places, depending on where Willow wanted to go. If they went abroad, it would definitely be an island; if they stayed in the country, they could visit a unique cultural heritage area, which would be interesting. He could show her the plans he had made tonight.
After lunch, they all went back to their rooms to pack their bags and head to the airport.
Willow and Mitchell also went back to their room to pack their belongings, preparing to go to the Jonah Residence.
Most of the relatives and friends had already checked out and left. Liam had left early with Ophelia, and Matthew's family had returned to Nelson Mansion after breakfast. Daniel woke up around noon and went back to The Jonah Residence with Willow and Mitchell. By then, only Victor, Patrick, and Joseph were still sleeping in their rooms at the hotel.
Willow had no idea how late they had stayed at the KTV the night before. When they returned to their room, it was already past 1:00 a.m..
Daniel kept yawning in the car and eventually lied down in the back seat. If they didn't have to go home for dinner, she would have stayed at the hotel to sleep.
Willow turned to look at the back seat and asked with a smile, "Daniel, did you guys stay up all night?"
Daniel didn't even open her eyes, yawned again, and replied, "Almost. I left with the fourth brother first. When I went to sleep, it was almost 5:00 a.m.. Patrick was still singing with Joseph when we left. I never knew he was such a karaoke king."
Willow stuck out her tongue playfully. No wonder Daniel was so tired; they had stayed up all night.
When the three of them arrived at the Jonah Residence, Lloyd and Patricia were already there, sitting in the living room chatting with Richard and Jessica. The four friends rarely got together, so they had a lot to talk about. It wasn't dinner time yet, so Mitchell and Willow joined them in the living room. Daniel, unable to stay awake, went upstairs to sleep.
The parents eventually started talking about the honeymoon, asking where they planned to go.
Before Willow could answer, Mitchell jumped in, saying he had already picked a few places and was just waiting for Willow to decide.
Patricia, understanding her son-in-law, said, "If work is too busy, you can go later."
Everyone knew how busy Mitchell had been since starting his business in college.
"We have time. The company gives us marriage leave," Mitchell replied with a smile, making Patricia smile in satisfaction.
After dinner, Willow and Mitchell left with Lloyd and Patricia. After dropping them off at Willow's apartment, they returned to Mitchell's apartment.
When they opened the door, they found the place meticulously decorated, looking festive and cheerful.
There were two sets of neatly folded red pajamas on the bed, and even the towels, toothbrush cups, and toothbrushes in the bathroom had been replaced with red ones. It hadn't been like this when Willow left, so coming back felt like entering a new home. Everything was familiar, yet everything felt different. She bounced around, looking here and there like a curious child.
Wearing red slippers, Willow grabbed the red pajamas from the bed and went to take a shower. She couldn't wait to experience it all. When she came out of the bathroom in a red nightgown, Mitchell noticeably paused his breath.
Without any alcohol tonight, his senses were even sharper. The red dress against her snow-white skin created a striking visual impact that caught him off guard. His Adam's apple bobbed involuntarily, and his eyes darkened as he walked forward with his pajamas.
Willow, carefree as ever, bounced onto the bed, eager to sleep on the new sheets and comforter. The flowers must have been chosen by Patricia, as they matched her taste perfectly.
While Mitchell showered, Willow lay on the bed and turned on the TV to watch a variety show.
When Mitchell came out of the shower, she didn't even glance at him, engrossed in the show and laughing heartily.
Mitchell felt a bit frustrated.
He was quite fair-skinned too.
Didn't he look good in red?
He walked past her, but Willow didn't even look up. Mitchell silently lifted the covers and got into bed. Under the covers, he deliberately brushed his leg against Willow's, moving it lightly up and down.
Willow, still focused on the TV, didn't notice his subtle move. She thought she was taking up too much space and considerately shifted to the side.
