Chapter 246 Seeking for Help

Willow sat on the sofa, thinking, ‘Do you really think two boxes of sandwiches can solve the problem?" Jimmy Cox also wanted to sit down, but Willow scolded him, "Stand up! Did I tell you to sit down?" After speaking sternly, she coughed uncomfortably a few times and continued, "Tell me everything in detail about what I asked.’

Jimmy stood straight like a disciplined elementary school student and nodded obediently.

"You tell me, did you know my identity from the beginning and deliberately approached me?" Willow asked, feigning seriousness.

At first, Jimmy shook his head and then nodded. Willow was confused by his contradictory gestures and asked, "Why are you shaking your head and nodding at the same time? What do you mean by that?"

Jimmy's clear voice resounded, refreshing and delightful: "At first, I didn't know. But it's true that I deliberately approached you later."

Willow blushed and glanced at him before turning her head away. "Continue," she said. Jimmy smiled slightly and said, "I'm not a genius. It wasn't until a few days ago, when I went to my grandma's house with my mom and met Aunty, that I found out it was you."

"Really?" Willow asked, tilting her head in doubt.

"If you don't believe me, you can ask Aunty. I found out it was you when Aunty showed me your picture. Before that, I really didn't know you were my sister from childhood. I swear it," Jimmy said, defending his innocence with an unusually serious expression.

"Okay, I reluctantly believe you," Willow said, standing up and gesturing for him to leave. "Although my mom asked me to take care of you, you seem like you don't need anyone's care. So, the front door is over there. Since you've achieved your goal, you can leave now. I have to clean the house, do laundry, and prepare for work tomorrow. I don't have time to entertain you anymore."

"Sister, I really have something important to ask for your help," Jimmy said shamelessly, sitting firmly on the chair as if he were glued to it and refusing to move. Willow raised an eyebrow and asked, "What is it?" But she couldn't help feeling a bit skeptical of him.

"My graduation project and thesis, could you take a look at them? Mr. Ward has sent them back several times, and I don't know what else to change," Jimmy said, his forehead wrinkling with genuine worry as if he were really stumped.

Willow had also faced Mr. Ward before, so she understood him well. Under his supervision, it was only possible to pass the thesis and graduation project with one or two revisions. Thinking about the torment she had experienced, she couldn't help but laugh happily at the fact that someone else was even more miserable than her. "Do you know why Mr. Ward is nicknamed 'Ward the Evil Genius'?" she asked.

Willow was impressed with herself for finishing such a large serving of lasagna. Although she felt a bit stuffed afterward, she was satisfied. After that meal, which was equivalent to two meals, she didn't eat dinner and watched an old movie before going to bed.

The next day, Willow experienced a combination of holiday syndrome. The alarm clock rang several times, but Willow kept pressing snooze. She couldn't understand why she felt so tired despite going to bed not too late the night before. Finally, after the last alarm rang, Willow got out of bed. She sat on the bed for a while, lost in thought, before finally getting up to wash her face and brush her teeth. Splashing cold water on her face helped her feel more awake. She grabbed her car keys and rushed to the company. She didn't have time to buy breakfast and had to settle for eating a sandwich in the break room.

As soon as Willow walked into the office, her manager stopped her. "Willow, you're here. Is your vacation over already? So soon?" Willow replied with a smile, "I'm back, manager. After breakfast, I'll start working." In reality, she was thinking, ‘If you think I came back too early, I can take a few more days off.’

The project manager smiled like a flower and continued, "Well done, Young Girl. Please deliver this document to President Jonah. The last project cooperation requires additional agreements, and since you were the one involved, ask for more details. I have an appointment with a client and can't leave." The manager handed the document to Willow and returned to their office.
